Eesh calaa Hees.

Eesh calaa naxwe fasiix ah.

Eesh calla Duriya iyo Shankaroon barakeysan.

Dadkaas gobta ee halkaa kasoo jeeda oo ah dad is diir-garanaya, oo is-dhaqan-garanaya, wadar-ahaan, ayaa mid "Muufo kasoo dhargey" oo xaley oo dhan fiilooyinka korantada dhulka Xamar ka guranayey, iyo mid kaloo gudhuu-af-garanwaa-ah oo ku darsoo ambad ah oo Baydhaba kasoo lumey oo waliba gunnimo haysata darteed ay ku kaliftey in tolkiis lagu gumeysto dhulkiisii, ayaa ku odhanaya dal baan wada leenahay oo qaran baanu wada nahay.

Tan wey isku lug godey, walee. Oo dad aan is diir-aqoon, oo aan is naxwe-aqoon, oo aan is-dhaqan-aqoonin, ayey kuwan la yidhaahdo Beesha Caalamku doonayaan in ay isku tolaan. Oo ay yidhaahdaan qaran wada yeesha hadey suurto gal tahay. Waa waxaan is qabaneynin oo laysku khasbayo.

And speaking of Mahamed BK and his songs, and I am fan of his, of course, this song, composed by Laab-Saalax, really hit it out of the park:

Qof-Weyn Ani Iima Tihid

Qaybtii 1-aad

"......Maxaan Soo Wada jirnoo

Nolosha Wehel soo Ahayn

Maxaan Laba Wacad Galoo

Quluubta Jacayl ku Wayn

Xurmada ku Waraabiyoo

Muxubo ugu soo Wanqalay

Ahayn Wadar dhaba Ahayn

Maxaan caashaqa warkiisa

la Soo Marnay Waayo badan

Ma jiro Wadka Ruux Hortii

Waayeel Ka Noqdaa Xubiga

Wakhti iyo Qurux daad laheyd

Haduu Cimri Wiiqayoo

Dheehii Wajigaagu Tagay

Qof Wayn Ani iima tihid

Qaybtii 2aad

Waydiin Iyo Ma Leh Su'aal

Inaad Tahay Waayo Arag

Xiskay gana Waab Ku Leh

Tan iyo Waagaan Ku Rabay

Maxaan Kugu Weehdayoo

Waraaqo Jacayl ah Qoray

Maxaan wadnayaal Sawiray

Maxaan weedhaha Kalgacal

Far Waawayn Kuugu Dhigay

Ma jiro Wadka Ruux Hortii

Waayeel Ka Noqdaa Xubiga

Wakht iyo Qurux daad lahayd

Haduu Cimri Wiiqayoo

Dheehii Wajigaagu Tagay

Qof Wayn Ani iima tihid....."

This is Mr Ahmed Zeki And Ms Ifrah Hargeisa at their best. It really is a song with a meaning, The song is call "Daweeya".

It's a song with elan of composition, and with words that speak the depth in which Somali language can aspire to reach in the hands of a well-crafted practitioner of our language, who in turn has a "finely-tuned-ear" for the words that has a larger meaning.

Kudos to the Abwan Mr Xamse Xadari, who composed this song. He really kicked it out of the park with lyrically touching words, which in turn are words with a sense-summoning meaning.

Daweeya:

".......Daweeyay niyad dabiibaay

Daryeelay maan dugsiiyay

Naf deeqay labta daaray

Daneeyay xubbi u daa

Haldoor waxaa tahay nin diinle

Dulqaad iyo dabacsanaan leh

Adaa damac dheer dadaal leh

Damiir badan oo dareen leh

Adaa kaba duwan dadkeena

Adaa kuwa daran danaynin

Ku daahin kuna danbaabin

La dood galin duulka maanta

Adaa dadka darajo dheerba

Adaa danabyow i daara

Adaa damal iyo digtoora

Adaan daayacayn naf daashay

Ku doonaay, anaa ku doonay

U diiday dartaa haweenka

U dooxay jaceylka doc'daydee

U diir nax deeqay laabta

Ku doonay, anaa ku doonay

U diiday dartaa ragiiba

U dooxay jaceylka doc'daydee

U diir nax deeqsi laabta

Dagaaray samo dakeeyay

I doojay ima duleeyay

Waxaan dalbada'ba diyaarshay

Bogaad dagtaybaa u' dookhsan

Duntii nasabkeen u daalay

Aan doorteen una dadaalay

Ahow nacab daran mid dayrsha

Digtoon, oon dag-dag aqoon

Mid ii diran, lana dirayn

Mid ii dana ina dan seejin

Mid ii dagan, ina dagaalin

Dawooy waxaad tahay du'caysan

Waxaa tahay darajadayda

Midkaan dalbadeen aan doortay

Midkan diif iyo dihaal badan

U maray doox iyo duleedba......."

Hey, Haatu, long time no see, my Sujuu friend. I am still chilling and kicking the collective back-sides of those passing defeated lot chaps in here SOL, as was always my want of doing it. It's my nature, mate, so don't be hater, bro.

As for us folks in Somaliland (or as I understood from your allusion, you meant to suggest the so-called "Duriyadda") being folks who sings their own praises or toot their horns (as it were). Well, I beg to differ in here, and I say, that, it's actually a lack of appreciation of what we are capable of achieving it, if only we put our minds to it, that is holding us back.

And as for Somali culture and what us folks in Somaliland could contribute to, is concern, well lets say, that, we are - and I say this with all seriousness - the nearest the Somali race has to a "linguistic collection of Bards" of the most exalted kind.

Of course, these songs (all posted in here) actually do genuinely sooth the minds as much as one or two poem from the collective works of Hadraawi or from Gaariye, being used in one's daily commute into work, actually helps one to know as to where one actually came from. And why one ought to be proud of that fact. Try it sometimes, you will see the difference, mate.

Ma isku kaa Haleeyaa Aduu Hadalku Joogaaye - by Mr Ahmed Aarshe.

A master-piece of a "literary song" laden with meaning, evoking a deep feeling from the depth of human's heart. And altogether belted out with the elan of lyrical voice, which in turn soothes, equally, both the senses and the ears.

Woow, maxaa amaan quruxeed inanta  loo heesayo la huwiyey!

“ Habluhuba markaad soo gashay illa  hagaasaane”

Masraxan oo kale wuxuu ku tusayaa in dhalintayadu nabad iyo cisi ku nool yihiin. Jacayl waxa laga xasuustaa meel nabdoon.

When will the new Somali musicians drop the fake programmed keyboard sounds and go back to the original guitar, trumpet, drums used by talented musicians?

Another literal-laden song, which means: "waa hees leh naxwe isa-sidkan ama isku-Tolan" (to put in Somali context). And it's, of course, Ms Yurub Geenyo, hitting all the ranges of her vocally-well-tuned tonal dexterity in full force. So pay attention, both, to her soothing voice and to the words of the song in which she is belting out in here.
