  1. Actually Liverpool never deserved to lose! They had the best chances and controlled the whole second half but were unlucky with the finishing. Sisoko didn't have one of his best games but was still winning the ball even though his final pass was poor therefore why did Benetiz substitute him with Crouch? Craig Bellemy also looked threatening up front, he looked to have been the player who could snatch a goal anytime. I still believe the race is not over yet! We still have a chance. Man Utd did not play well today against Liverpool and the same against Fulham game, where they both scored last minute goals. So it is not over yet until mathematically proven. To start with, we need to win todays match against Portsmouth. Northerner, I was couting on your team, they did let me down big time.
  2. ^^^Very very nice. How you been though? you guys played your best team, full of ageing yet capable and experienced players. 187, I agree, but Arsenal team also has experienced players who are capable of performing when experience matters, so the question is, why did Arsene Wenger stick with the so-called young gunners? The answer is simple; he thought they were good enough to win it since they did beat the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham. but the real winners from my point of view are the young men who outplayed, outfought and outsmarted the chelsea team. Brother, in football, the winners are the team that wins that particular match. May be the young guns got experience from that game but you can’t call them winners? Sxb, they lost the match and we won the cup. If they need experience, may be they should wait for the pre-season games. Soma, have you ever heard of the saying, it takes 2 to tango? By saying were bad losers, it basically means that we started of the whole brawl and its all Arsenal's fault Yes it takes two to tango but on this occasion it took one to tango (does this even exist) . Sxb, it is Arsenal’s fault not necessarily the whole Arsenal team, but it is Kolo Toure who reacted to Mikel’s shirt-pulling. He got a free-kick and that should have been it but why do you think Arsene Wenger apologized today? Just admit, some of your players overreacted and as much as the Arsenal legends used to do it. Kolo Toure is a gentleman and a great footballer; I always have nothing but respect for him but on this occasion, he did let me down and to make it worse he had the armband. But my respect for him hasn’t changed a bit. PS: Soma, Do I still get a good luck from you now? Of course! Good luck sxb, even though I’ll be glad to see the gunners get gunned down. I am yet to hear an Arsenal fan sending a death threat to the referee BOB, Sxb, don’t believe everything you read on the media. Why would someone want to kill a referee? after Spurs beat your behind fairly & squarely..let me refresh your mind incase you forgot it..he blamed the referee Graham Poll for that defeat too...again! It was not only Jose who blamed Graham Poll; even the TV pundits blamed him. Every fan of the game has seen that Mr Poll was not up to his standards on that game thus making us lose the game because of him. Just wait and see how we are going to trash them when we meet up for the FA Cup and the premier league match at the Bridge. Obi Mikel deserved more than a mere red card as he's the one who started it all. lol, cmon Sxb, you have to be kidding me. All he did was pull Toure’s shirt, it was Toure who overreacted. I think he was treated harshly. Eboue will get three match ban, the same with Adeboyar and Toure. I just feel sorry for Toure. Why do you think Arsene Wenger apologized if he did not think it was his team who started the brawl? Remember this is the same Manager who never seems to see most incidents that happen on the pitch. in my personal view I think Mourinho sent him on to avenge what he deemed as a deliberate foul on John Tery after all the man has no idea how the game is played for if he did I don't think he would've ordered Chelsea players to kick Messi & Ronaldinho out of the park in that shameful champions league match at Stamford Bridge where they deliberately made their pitch look like a Gal-Kacyo stadium and guess whose idea it was? ^^^Walahi I find this funny. I am sure you were boiling when you wrote that or do you still have the same view? Congrats Chelsea fans, SoMa_InC in particular. Thank you my brother. Much appreciated Sxb. and the best part for me was when he made Lampard look s!lly more than once.... I agree with that. I was flabbergasted walahi, the guy has future. PS: Please don’t get me wrong, Arsenal team plays the best football in the country but it is not pretty football that wins games but rather it is getting the maximum points (3) that counts. I agree that we don’t play fancy football but we try and accumulate as much points as we can and win games. Peace.
  3. ^^^Welcome aboard, good to see a fellow fan on the block. Just an advice, Mr Bob is an Arsenal diehard and his knowledge of the game is gigantic. lol@Martinez & Nunez.
  4. ^^^One down, three to go! This game reminded me of them old days; Keown, Van Nestoroy, Roy Keane and Patrick Viera. Indeed Arsenal are bad losers. That kid Fabrigas is a talented player but again his talent has been overshadowed by his lack of respect for his opponents. 187, thanks. Good to see an Arsenal fan giving credit where it is due. Good luck against PSV.
  5. We won the Carling Cup. Congratulations to Chelsea players, Coaching staff and the Chelsea fans worldwide especially the SOL Chelsea fans. Its sad that we lost John Terry again, this time a head injury; I wish him all the best. It really was very sad to see him knocked out but I am glad that he was breathing when he left the stadium. It was an entertaining game with Arsenal doing their best to penetrate our defense but it sad that brawl erupted between the sides late on that led to dismissals for Mikel, Toure and Adebayor. I think Fabrigas should have been sent off, Toure and Mikel never deserved a red card but yellow cards. Why are Arsenal such bad losers?
  6. ^^^Bruv I have been saying this for the past 2 years, Quaresma is class act. Jose wanted to get him last year but it has not been sanctioned. John Terry and Robben are both injured so I just hope we get them back as soon as possible. It seems like they will also miss the Carling Cup final on Sunday. I still regret, why did they sell William Gallas? Shevchenko has always been an excellent player and getting used to the premier league needs patience. Anybody watched Bellemy's interview after the match? He made me laugh a lot. Congrats to Liverpool, especially Mohamed Sisoko; he is way too underrated. He took over the midfield. Gerrald had a quite night. 187, you are right, the blame has to be on Rijkaard. This team needs Samuel Eto back. Congrats Nuune and Northerner.
  7. ^^^Nuune sup bro? Thats some serious analysis! I cant wait to prove you wrong in the next 3 hours.
  8. ^^^That chance is very slim but you can never say never in football. I still would love to see PSV through to the next round.
  9. lol Northerner, I got searched when I was going in. I was astonished that he took my ipod out to see if it had a camera on. They were very serious about this issue.
  10. ^^^Seriously I see Liverpool more of a threat than Barca, only in the Champions League though.
  11. Bro the papers are reporting that the whole team has been fined. I understand that they media speculates a lot but this is not helping the confidence of the team when Barca are waiting for you at Nou Camp.
  12. Northerner, Sxb, what is going on with Liverpool team? It has been reported that the whole team except Jamie Carrager, have broken the curfew and went on drinking. The only good news about Liverpool this week is the fact that Mascherano has been allowed to play for them. He is a fine player but was managed by a not-so-good Manager. Lets see how Rafa will use him. Good luck with tonight's game. What happened to Arsenal? Where is BOB and 187? Real Madrid Vs Bayern Munich was good encounter. The return match will be the one to watch. Manchester Utd as usual cheated. I hate blaming Referees but he was pathetic. He did let Man Utd goal stand and disallowed Lille's goal. What did you think of the Lille's players who wanted to walk out?
  13. ^^^Good luck to him. All he needs to do now is concentrate on his football.
  14. ^^^Truly amazing indeed! Allamagan, since you are part of the 'friends of the Director', how about getting the SOL family a pirate copy?
  15. ^^^It was £15, very expensive for a film but since it is a Somali thing the price has to be different innit. Why is Somali stuff i.e. Ruwayaad, movies very expensive? You have to pay £30 to see Hassan Adan Samatar and £10 to see a hiphop/ r&b artist? Dhubad, The movie was excellent, I really liked it. They had three different screening in London. If you missed it, just wait a little while and a DVD will come out.
  16. I have been to Imperial College in South Kensington to watch the highly-rated Somali movie and I was amazed. I have to give my thumbs up to the all those involved, the Directors, Actors and the rest of the crew. Did you watch the movie? What did you think of it? Peace
  17. ^^^^ How can they call a game in which they use both their hands and foot a football? At least foot-handball would do do the trick. Exactly....as there is no other sport as great as FOOTBALL...not soccer.. remember that. Bob, I second that 110%. The real football rules!
  18. ^^^^lol. Good luck Sxb! You won't get a better time to play Barca so make use of the opportunity and let us meet in the next round. I dnt really care about the other games. No comment!
  19. ^^^He is a highly-rated Ukranian player. Northerner, Sxb, whats is going on with Craig Bellemy? It has been reported that he had a fight with Riise. The guy is a good striker but seems to be always in controversy. Remember his time at Newcastle, Blackburn and Celtic. I think Liverpool will force him out! Good luck with Barca though
  20. ^^^Sxb, I never said Henry dives but all I said was that he has an attitude. Here is what I said about Eboue, I wont call him a diver but he is coming out of the shell with some attitude. Typical Arsenal player, I think Henry has been training him. I meant Henry has been training him on how to develop attitude. Bob, Why you hating on my boy Lampard? I agree that he is overrated just as much as Henry is overrated.
  21. Liverpool have Luis Garcia True, how can I forget him. He dives, wins a penalty then starts licking his thumb. Eboueu is a bit of a diver Did you see his reaction the other day when Arsenal were playing Bolton in the league? Kevin Davies pushed him and the way he went to the ground was a real thriller. I wont call him a diver but he is coming out of the shell with some attitude. Typical Arsenal player, I think Henry has been training him.
  22. This from someone supporting a team that has Drogba and Robben! lol, very good one. But still I think Drogba and Robben are misunderstood Seriously, every club has players who dive. It is becoming a trend this days. Manchester Utd has Ronaldo, Arsenal has Ljumberg and the best diver of all time award winner, Mr Pires. So far, I cant think of a Liverpool player who dives. Can you think of one?
  23. Jerzy Dudek won us the CL. Lehman lost you the CL Northerner, Then how did you lot treat Dudek? I feel very sorry for him. As for El Haj Diouf in your team, ever since he was caught drink driving during the period of Ramadhan, the guy has been pathetic. Such an inconsistent player but I just hope he gets his acts together before Big Sam switches on him. Ngonge, Andy Johnson cheats a lot and I don’t see any reason why he should be in the England squad. The guy needs lots of chances to score a goal and he is famous for winning penalties for Everton. He is a division one player and his former club, Crystal Palace will be a good choice. Why is it that every1 likes berbatov, I'd prefer mido over him 187, Berbatov is a class player, his touches, skills and pace is what makes him a complete striker, the only problem is he is at the wrong club. Mido is a good striker but his attitude stinks. As for Ashley Cole saga, I get your point.
