In my opinion somalia was destroyed when our president - who at first treated everybody equal - decided only his sub-clan and mother's sub-clan were allowed to work in the top jobs. The SNM as well as the SSDF were feeling that it was unfair that a country were everybody was supposed to be equal, was treating everybody - with the exception of the president's sub-clan - as second class citizens. Meiji , to be honest with you Somaliland is better off seceding because, although we aren't any different to the rest of Somalia, we can't even have any sort of power sharing and treat each other equally, so tell me how can we share a country if we can't share it equally amongst each other? sosiad barre filled all the top positions with his clan. big frakin deal. there are ways to convey your displeasure rather than attacking the somali army and people from eithopia of all places. the moement snm started to fight the country from our biggest enemy is the day somalia become broken in to pieces. why was eithopia so happy to allow snm to use it's land to fight somalia? so that dumb somalis could do eithopia's job for it. the job of destroying somalia forever.
  2. xaaji xunddjuf, i am from the burco. last time i visited it was in 2002. i send money every month to my sister in hargeysa. you are just a another tribal seccessionist who can't believe that there are somalilnaders out there who love all their brothers and sisters regardless of clans. i am not brain washed qabeel hater like most somalilanders. as yourself this. after 18 years of being peaceful but a dump tulo what have the north west achieved. other than being a front for eithopia.
  3. we can't regain our lands when we our country itself is in a mess. back then when we had an army we destroyed eithopia until they begged cuba and russia for help. united we are a match for anyone
  4. ^ bingo. summed up everything perfectly there. so many dumb cousins in burco who can't even understand this basic fact
  5. i think imust be the only somalilander in the world who does not want secede like a bunch of fools. then again i was not born with qabeel mentality like some others. even my cousins hate when i say that our fufure lies with our brothers and sisters fo all somalia. god i hate seccessionism. the country was destoyed the moment the snm decided to attack somalia from eithopia. yes the same eithopia which the country went to war with to regain back our lands. siad barre was a crazy guy. but at least we had a country in those days, we were a proud nation back then. not the sorry mess we are in right now
  6. don't compare what other african countries are going through to us. we were the pride of east africa. today we are a truely a free for all country where anything goes for the last 18 years. 18 years. how long will it continue? another 18 years?
  7. duke, well done. first time i agree with you. somalia is suffering because the educated diaspora is selfish and the uneducated are busy killing themselves in somalia. we need nationalism plain and simple.
  8. che that was funny. needed that. but seriously, though how long is it going to take? when qiyama comes in are will somalis still be fighting each other?
  9. i can still see it. the south still in chaos. the north west still yearning for 'independence'. the east teeming with pirates as the whole world uses the somali coast as a training practice to shoot somalis on the seas. The french and spanish will still keep stealing our fish and the italians will dump the toxic waste in our waters with their navies backing them up. all the while puntland will looking the other way. The eithopians will be still laughing as they continue to run the strings behind the scenes as somalis are humiliated and subjugated again and again and again. I am an optimist in life but i cannot for the life of me see how we will see our nation rise back to our glory again. Are we meant to be a country of refugees forever? I really get depressed whenever i think of my country. I am only 23 but i see the pictures of somalia of old. The beauty of mogadishu and other somali cities. Are we doomed to never see them again?
  10. Originally posted by Abdinasir Kadawo: quote:Originally posted by Najmudin: quote: Originally posted by Abdinasir Kadawo: Bad for all Somalis. Worst case scenario for Somalis in Somali Galbeed. Why is it worse for Somali Galbeed than for any other part of Somalia if Waqooyi becomes its own country? Let's look at the situation for Somali Galbeed now; 1. People of Somali Galbeed, SG, are dealing with more powerful enemy. Ethiopian fascist Habashi regime is recognised government with no embargo. Of being an inland country they have to use other countries as supply route for weapons and other essentials for their armed forces. So which countries can they use? Sudan? No they are not in a good relationship. Eritrea? No, they are enemies. Djibouti? Yes/no, it's getting expensive to use Djibouti port, Kenya? No, it's long and unsecured way. Only Somalia remains. At this present moment they use the Berbera port, because they find it cheaper than Djibouti port 2. People of SG are divided. This Division is the result of the division in proper Somalia. One could say it started as early as 1978, when first Somali rebel group (SSF) was formed by the treacherous A. Yusuf Yeey. Soon many rebel groups (SNM and USC among others) who fought their country followed suit. Many of the SG freedom fighter in the then Western Somalia Liberation Front (WSLF) jumped over to those rebel groups for obvious tribal connections. This development culminated in the collapse of WSLF in mid 1980s. Some components of the collapsed WSLF founded O*aden National Liberation Front, ONLF. Yet to this day some sections of Somali Galbeed communities accuse this organisation for being the work of one single clan (by and for one clan). Now same sections assist the enemy instead of siding with their brothers. 3. Because of points 1 and 2 their misery goes on with not much hope in sight. A united Somalia would weaken the Habashi regime and unite the people of SG. Remember it's same people other side of the border. If people of Somalia unite, it will lead the unity of the people of SG. Often clan wars in SG have its origins in Somalia. Also the Habashi imperialist regime wouldn’t have easy access to sea, which would to some extent isolate them. If on the other hand Somalia became 2 or more countries, the division of the people of SG would be cemented and there would be a weak link of those many balkanised Somali nations which Ethiopia would take advantage of. They already are taking advantage of Somaliland and Puntland. this man has said all that is need to be said.
  11. Originally posted by Belial: Ethiopia has its design on somalia and will surely work to destroy whats left of Somali unity. People need to wake up out of their coma-sleep. eithopia didn't destroy somalia. somalis destroyed somalia. we made the job easy for the eithopians. we destroyed our land into 3 different parts. while the rest is under eithopian occupation. truly sad and hopeless
  12. if you think cutting your hand is good for the body then go ahead and cut your hand. the three parts of somalia united is what gives somalia it's life. i hate seccessionists. they are nothing but selfish backward tribalists. because of you our country is still stuck back to 1991. a united one somalia is the answer to the problem.
  13. Jeez, the more i see the state of the country the more i wonder if the lunatics running the asylum will ever be thrown out. Seeing my homeland fake elections where the money is supplied by western countries who would love nothing more to see a fragmented somalia is really disheartening. Then again we have been under the boot of murderous thug called riyaale all these years. I look at puntland and xaamar and i am just wondering, are we somalis so blinded by hate for each other that it has become second nature to discuss 3 seperate entities as if we are no longer somalis but somalilanders, puntlanders and somalis? If it were up to me i would banish every single selfish seccessionists, warlords and dictator out there. where is our patriotism for our country? Is no one bothered about the country as a whole save for their own tribal enclaves? Heh i just had an argument with my mom over this. She thinks we should not care about the south and puntland. She thinks we should care only about somaliland. This mentality is just pathetic and i told my mom i am a muslim first and somali second. Issaq comes after that. I just want my country to be one. Is that too much to ask for?
  14. the fact that our people are being ruled by a thug called riyaale says all you need to know about the state of somaliland. When people are happy to be ruled by tyranny and oppression then it's fair to say their lives will not change.

Fact is all of Somalia or for that matter Africa lives like this. Also, Burco, Hargeisa and all of SL and PL is peaceful, so to say Burco is a hell hole is rubbish, I bet you haven't been there cos I have been and it is great as are the others I mentioned. see that's the difference between you and me. i refuse to believe that we somalis can only live on remittance. we have mineral resources. we have a vast coastline. we are a people blessed with things. but instead of setting our differences aside for the country and building our land and building an economy so that people can prosper, we continue to live like parasites around the world. refugees. allah has given us a country. yet we ruined it and instead of puuting it right we abandon it. if somalia was a person, she would be a broken women, abused all her life. i don't my country to be a nation of welfare. i want the best for my country. i wanna tell people about the achievements of her country. our culture, our people, our language. that's what i want. I want somalia to be strong country that gains the respect of other nations. Unfortunately, what we have is a country with the majority of them as simple minded fools. content with living in a miserable life. blinded with a disease of qabeel. suspicious and hateful of each other even though we share the same language and religion. perferring to ally with our enemies rather than your own countryman. what a sad site. the nation is in a coma. And it will remain so until we can settle our petty differences and be united country once again. By the way, i have been to burco. it's my hometown. when i say it is a hell hole i mean it's derelict town. peaceful. but might as well be shanty town. so many nice kids there. kids who deserve an education, jobs, and opprtunities. shame the adults had to ruin the country beyound all recognition

While ordinary somalis struggle to survive these politicians send their children to europe and even have the time for parties for their wives. totally pathetic You can keep looking into you father's pictures sxb... I think that is a worthwhile thing for you do. with your kind around, i doubt we will reach the heights our country achieved back in the day when somalia was a country. Right now we are a laughing stock around the world. Our fish plundered, our beaches contaminated with nuclear waste coz we have no navy. our people refugees around the world with no voice. our people in somalia have no oppurtunities in life. I was lucky to be born in abu dhabi amisom troops and eithopians killing somalis at will because we have no army to protect us this what we have become in 18 years. a broken nation.

  18. you see everybody. this is why mogadishu needs sharia law like kismayo.
  19. the only joke here is u the backward qabeelist
  20. resistance, the only people going on about it are those who hate al shabab any way. what a pack of fools
  21. wasnt long when people started blaming al shabab eh? al shabab never killed a single reporter. Infact they invited the man. why would they kill him? this is done by trash who want to sully the name of the muqawama
  22. To the others, yes i am angry. Angry at seeing our nation like this. Angry at seeing our people like this. I have pictures of my father may allah bless him when he was a general in the army of siad barre. Just looking at those pictures makes me angry. Such beautiful country and now razed to the ground. I wonder what my father who fought in the ****** war would make of the fact that our country has become a play ground for eithopia and other countries. By the way i see no distinction between somaliland and puntland. their politicians are a bunch of self serving trash.

Anyone who set foot in the place knows everyone is on their own, waa biila government. You do know there is no welfare system right?? Oh no, you didn't, poor thing. PAragon: Hmmm, I hope not, If they feel like I do beeri hoor ayah luugu kaal teegi laah, ibtilo and a half ibtisam, believe what you will. I may lie to you but i won't be able to lie against Allah. Burco my hometown was crap. It's till crap. My mother sends money to burco every month. It's just makes me sad. Somalis have lost that self sufficiency. It's all remitance money. I have no probs with that don't get me wrong. Infact i happily donate whatever i have to my step sister in hargeysa. But it's just makes me angry seeing these shame elections. this pathetic dogs who masquerade as politicians......what have they ever done for somaliland. bunch of self delusional hasid trash. Controlled by a warlord traitot riyaale who has no problems working with our enemy. They practically control berbera. That's how far we have sunk. Just couple od days ago, my aunty was very ill and had to travel to hargeysa for treatment. She is still ill. The hosipital has no clue with what's wrong with her. Sorry but it Makes me so mad. For how long are we going to be like this?
  24. by the way, burco was the same hell hole i visited last time. Other than peace, there is absolutely nothing there. Nothing. i swear i hate riyaale and the rest of the trash politicians. IS this how we issaq have sunk low?
