Saxib, while this event(if factual) is not acceptable to us, it reflects poorly on A/Y as a man at the same time. He will be lampooned as the st00ge who has fallen out of grace with his patrons and who got slapped.

Did anyone watch one of A/Y's recent interviews by Universal TV posted on SOL? He was adamant about Ethiopians never leaving Somalia so I doubt Gabre would scold A/Y let alone slap the old hag.
If this is true though, it tells the world that somalia is no more and has been annexed officially by Ethiopia. The incident means placeholders like A/Y outlived their use as a meaningful tool to occupy somalia and are equal now to the average somalis in the eyes of the occupiers.
I don't think the news would reflect negatively on somalis except strengthen the view that we are occupied and the so called rulers are nothing more than useless men slapped around when they fall out of line. It legitimizes the opposition to the Xabashis and the war against them.

^ Like I said before, when the guns go silent and somalis have a government they are happy with, with ethiopians departed, people will realize how important the war against the Xabashis in Muqdisho was despite the massive loss of men and material.
The xabashis would have their garrissons in Muqdisho as permanent if nobody would have resisted them. They would fire and hire mules as they please and continue their grip on Somalia throughout generations to come just as they did throughout history with the western somaliland they occupy. They never let go a land they settle but appropriate it for themselves and torture everything that moves in it including animals. The war against them should continue untill a change favourite to our future comes and we have a chance of extricating ourselves from permanent ethiopian occupation both physical and political.

The way to peace:
A- Reform the TFG, get rid of Warlord A/Y and other criminals in that organization to show good faith. This will leave government institutions in place but only removes known criminals from the political scene.
B- Timetable for Xabashi troop withdrawal
Those two can remove the deadlock faster than anything else.
If you disagree with the removal of criminals like A/Y who is never a man of peace, and other criminals like Maxamed Dheere whose aired animonsities towards certain clans added fuel to the fire, clarify your objections and why you think their removal is not important for peace. I have given mine in my previous post and why all men with bad faith should be removed for there to be peace. Their presence as active actors bodes ill for progress and the record shows. If you disagree with that, tell us why.

Centurion: I think we can safely say that the overwhelming majority of Somalis know(or will if we see another decade of hopeless turmoil) that a transparent and genuinely inclusive process is required. The real problem is finding the right people to initiate and deliver this process.This quote above from the first page touches the most important point and prerequisites with regards to reconciliation and peace. You need partners for peace with credibility. If you don't have them, it is a waste of time. As long as the TFG exists as it is and in its current form, there will be no peace. You can not trust a single person among the top dogs in that organization with the exception of the new PM whose pronouncements are yet to be implemented.
Some of you can sound the right notes all they want, but the bottomline is to give the opposition and people whose lives have been destroyed a real deal for which they can settle, and to brin men whom they can trust their word to the negotiating table for them to lay down the weapons. If not, there will be no resolution. The war in Muqdisho and in some other parts in the south goes on as I write relentless.

And we know as well for a fact that there is no incentive for the warlords to co-sign peace because peace requires them to give-up their ill-gotten status. The same reasons these criminals and warlords dealt a heavy blow to peace yesterday are still there, sitting with them is just being delusional, and in some cases, down right dishonest.
