  1. Twenty-two days after a military coup ended, Dioncounda Traoré, a 70-year-old labor union activist who had been jailed in Mali’s earlier struggle against dictatorship, will lead a temporary government that aims to organize new elections within 40 days and guide the country back to constitutional rule.

  2. According to New York times European Countries are facing a market anxieties and some investors worry that Spain might eventually follow Greece, Ireland and Portugal in seeking a bailout.

Spain is already wracked by a depression-level unemployment rate of nearly 25 percent (and approaching 50 percent for those ages 16 to 24). But it is in for even higher levels of misery under the austerity budget that Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy unveiled at the end of March, after the European Union rebuffed his pleas for more fiscal flexibility in the face of a worsening recession.

On Monday, Mr. Rajoy also warned regional governments to cut their annual spending on health care and education by €10 billion as part of their own austerity drive. The regions accounted for two-thirds of Spain’s budgetary slippage last year, which resulted in an overall deficit of 8.5 percent of G.D.P., compared with a 6 percent target.

  3. I often see this kind of discussions across the internet… and I can never understand why? I mean why do we automatically make the assumption that all Somalis are Muslims? Why do we expect them to hold the same values and behave the same way? Just because waa Somali doesn’t mean you should hold all Somalis to the same standards.

Biologically we may have everything in common but we are very diverse now primarily cause of the circumstances that made us homeless... And coming to abroad we are now exposed to different cultures, languages, religions and norms that may seem unique to many Somalis- thus Somalis are converting to other religions, assimilating to other cultures and as end result the younger generation are becoming product of what they see, hear, and whatever else that may seem appealing in the environment they're placed in.

Wixi Ilahay soo hadaynayo waa soo hagagayaan wixi kalana yaga iyo Ilaahay ayaa akhiro isleh- marka LET IT BE!

  4. Please watch this and see the illegal efforts of the CIA and the Obama administration as they seek terrorist individuals in Somalia secretly. according to the report, the CIA takes and questions individuals whom they belief to be Al Qaeda members or part of other terrorist

groups and they do it all without offering any representation and takes them as prisoners without any jurisdiction.

  5. it doesnt surprise me when I hear Arabs being racist- but it gets thick when you hear "slaughtering" and genocide. as far as Somalis being racist towards other africans its maybe because Arabs have influenced our culture, stereotypes and the way we view others.

  6. Hoyo! (Mommy) I made it to Amerika!

It aint nothing like what they used to show us on tv

Or the stories my friends used to tell me

All the bling and all the riches we seen its just a bullshit

people beg here like no thing! You’ll see thieves and envy standing on the same street, pimps selling *****s on Mercedes and little girls holding babies asking for pennies in the parking lot.

    The government is fraud here

all the leaders are sleazy hypocrites

Instead of improving the community and getting funds to create jobs,

They become egocentric prostitutes that serve their own interest

and the interest of their Corporate constituents

oh well, good thing I cant vote yet!

I started earning money, paying bills

chasing green seven days a week

they say “the home of the Liberty” but Capitalism is the King here

We serve eight hours standing on our feet

go home exhausted and drink beer

no bliss and everyone smiles when you look at them

but you could see the misery behind their sallow teeth

it’s a madness what you see

Everyone chasing time so they eat quick-

Get fat and go under needles

    media institutes fashion and beauty

sex invades houses in music and movie scenes

in their adolescent girls wearing make up and walking nude

and boys visualize the skin and masturbate in their dreams

and da sickness of it all is when old men goes to victimize these kids and leave their bodies on dark alley

I am ready to dip-out already!

  7. In Massachusetts, inmates are dropped off outside the homeless shelter upon their release if no one is there to meet them. With nothing but $40 and the skimpy clothes upon their back they are forced to find jobs in what seems like a unkown World. . keep in mind while in prison society becomes more technologically advanced. New products come out. Technology changes and so does the skills required to do jobs, unless you are a mathematical genius.

  8. So lets say you were in jail for 16 years, and while in prison you worked in the kitchen for about 4 hours a day and your hourly wage is 3 dollars. now the question is should you be entitle to that money once you done serving your time? What if you are a father with two children and the state claims that you owe child-support fees, and the state authorities also claim that you owe fees from services you had received while in prison?

Whats your take on this issue?

  10. "does emotion ever cry itself to sleep?

my mind dreams of dreaming a beautiful dream

while my heart still stays searching for comfort

the embedded rocks that glass case my feelings

behind pretentious cries that leave many in shadows" bless your soul BOB, and i could humbly say that you're not alone under that smear...
