This news is old; I don’t think visiting Ethiopia is high in the list of things-to-do for Siiraanyo. He received an invitation from them in late June, that kind of delay plus the fact that he is already been to Djibouti speaks volumes about his new policy towards Al-Ahbaash.

Ina Omaar deserves some respect compared to your average traitor. If Somalis were to negotiate amongst themselves the secession of Somaliland, then he is well placed and can bring the two parties into negotiations. But I guess it's bit premature to talk about that now. May be he can be of help in persuading the TFG to sign an agreement to that effect, after-all this is Somalia and some serious dosh could take you a long way.

The new S/land government will be judged on its actions, they haven't handed anybody to Ethiopia so far and that is the good news. You guys are conveniently ignoring that the common man in Hargeisa or anywhere else in the country doesn't want anybody to be handed to Ethiopia.
As for the Awdal uprising, there is no need for a bullet so long there is a ballot. Did you guys know that Boorama specialises in peace making more than anything else hadaba Habaarka joojiya meeshu Alshabaab maahee

According to some news coming from Moqadisco, one high ranking officer belonging to the government forces has handed himself over to Alshabaab.
Along with some sensitive information regarding his training in Djibouti, he also accused the AMISOM forces of systematically killing the TFG soldiers in the midst of the war. He claimed that they hardly differentiate between government forces and Alshabaab and that they shoot at every Somali regardless of who he is siding with. If AMISOM is doing this to the men who were helping them fight there enemy then they wouldn’t really think twice about shelling the civilians either.
AMISOM way kibirtay, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Ugandese General Bahuuku Fufu pimp slaps Sharif whenever he feels like it.
These are the government forces that people expected to win and take the fight to Alshabaab, they are underpaid, humiliated, shot at from all sides. Only an ***** would want to put himself in such a situation.
I even think that the situation of the Somali soldiers was better under Abdillahi Yusuf, this so-called government has failed miserably.
-
I think alshabaab enjoys a lot of support there, it is impossible to survive against all those odds if you don't have the support of the masses. Now, the people might be wrong but that is the reality in the ground.

^dhac dhac ayuu xaga ku gaadayey lol, waa ciyaalkii malaha
That brother gave him a nice 1, when I replayed it fast for a couple of times it reminded of Ryu da dtreet fighter

why shouldn't this goverment just give up, pack up and leave the city surely they have no support in that city any more. The people of Xamar have made it clear that they don't want this goverment and that they won't fight for it.

Ducooyinkani waa iska normka, it was the less boring parts when I was a kid, where is the freedom of speech horta. That is what you call double standards, muslims aren't allowed to express themselves freely and when they protest the mocking of the prophet (SAW) they are told to sit down and not to make too much fuss about it. ha duceeyaane daaya, if it's wrong Allah will surely filter the wrong bits it out.

it's better to have stronger relations with jabouti. xabashidu wax cusub ma hayaane

^ more like the other way round, a passport without an official country.
The Ethiopians are testing the waters; they should speak to Mingestu haila maryam to find out what kind of men they are dealing with.
Silaanyo knows what he is doing and Melez should visit Hargeisa if he wants to sort out things.
-
That taliban can eliminate corruption and anything they consider xaram is common knowledge, at least to most moslims. One thing I can't get my head round is how could they be accused of dealing drugs? which I doubt very much

Most of the things the commentators described is in display here as Gaariye recites some of his poems to a group of Somalis

What could Britain learn from Somalia - a country where poetry is nothing less than the main means of cultural communication?
Portrayed abroad as a land beset by gunmen, pirates and famine, it is also known by those who live there as a Nation of Poets. Somalia had no written language until 1972 and poetry has always been the country's core form of mass communication - whether the spoken word or, more recently, via cassettes and radios.
Verse has, in many areas, taken the place of history books, newspapers and television as the main means of spreading news and comment. Poets who have real skill - the true bards - have the power to shape current events and receive both social and political privileges.
Can we integrate any of these elements into British poetry? Instead of one Laureate, should we have hundreds of bards reflecting the diversity of our nation - people we can turn to for everything from the poetic equivalent of a Times leader to the latest gossip around the parish pump? Can poetry be integrated into our daily lives as successfully as in Somalia?
In discussion with presenter Rageh Omaar, poets from the Somali community in Britain and expert translators wonder if - through the medium of everything from the spoken word to text messaging - Somalia's bards might provide the germ of a new form of information sharing in Britain.

First wlc to the forum brother. Insha Allah, many of those aspirations will come true and it will take hard work and believe in one’s ability to see them accomplished.
Thinking about this reminded me of a poem I came across couple nights ago, it's called Waan Qaloonayaa & it’s not for the linguistically challenged lol..I kid, enjoy it guys.
