  1. Whats the alternative? Can't the dude have his own SOMALI bodyguards and security officials taking care of his security INSIDE the Villa SOmalia? At least he should keep the AMISOM invisible to camera, and station them somewhere far away from the public for whenever he needs them and for the time being before they leave. But keeping them so visible is a signal to the outside world: ''We need the security of foreign troops for our own security inside the Capital and even inside ''my house/villa somalia''. MY ADVICE to Sh.Shariif: Get AMISOM out and replace them with SOMALI troops.
  2. It is very unfortunate for foreign soldiers to guard those who call themselves ''state officials'' in their own capitals. Also, As long as foreign powers are that visible behind ''the president'' it is impossible for people like me to give full support to such ''foreign-created governments''.
  3. Let the man enjoy his ''retirement'' in the dustpin of history. We should not even be mentioning him, he is history. Tune your channel to 2009 sxb.
  4. Why should I care where those men are? Or is this a weak ''tit-for-tat'' attempt. Also, according to you and other diehard AY supporters, A.Yusuf is the ''father'' of ''Puntland state'', why shouldnt he ''retire'' in the ''state'' he created in his years of ''stateman''. Clearly there are contradictions in your own PR.
  5. Why isn't he enjoying his '''retirement'' in his country of birth? Scared for you-know-who?
  6. Aweys was not behind the bombings of Alshabab. Separate events and factions.
  7. Contradiction=Fighting Fisabililah YET disobeying and dishonouring the unanimous statements by the Ulama. Aweys should come to Mogadishu and direct the war himself. Lets what your own sub-sub-sub clan would do to you, let alone the rest of Mogadishu groups.
  8. Still mad at his uncle been thrown in the dustpin of history. 40 years of been a failure: A.Yusuf's lifestory
  9. Shiikh Xasan Daahir Aweys “Dagaalka waa uu sii soconyaaa inta ay ciidamada AMISOM ka baxayan dalka,Go’aanada Culimadana waxaa uu ku soo aaday xili aan munasib aheeyn”. shabelle.com ----- Aweys is a classic pseudo-religious warlord. Since 1989, his war for political power to initiate HIS interpretation of the religion and HIS interpretation of how society should be structured around religious principles has caused more damage then good to society. He has failed big time, and should belong in the same category as other failed men: Gen.Siad Barre, Gen.Aideed, Col.A.Yusuf. Just like these men, Aweys does not know when to stop and when to lisen to people more knowledgable and more respected then himself. Is he above the Culama? If he cares for the deen, why does he undermine and discredit the Culama by not heeding their call? From his last actions it seems that his final drive for power has entered its final stage in 2009. The man should retire and not take his subclan in his downfall like Siad Barre and A.Yusuf. In Luuq, Bosaso your mission was rejected simply because your non-clan based religious ideology was not able to withstand the clan animosities and mistrust. In Mogadishu, you have succesfully blended your religious ideology with the interest of your clan and as a result used their resources and men to come this far. But fortunately, your religious extremist ideology has no appeal to your sublan, and they will not waste anymore resources and men to defend you in your drive for power. This is something Aweys has realized too. Galgaduud is in the hands of local groups that have rejected his extremist ideology. His group in Mogadishu too has rejected his extremist ideology, hence why he entered in alliance with Raaskamboni and Canoole factions. Why else is he in Asmara and not within his people in Somalia?
  10. Originally posted by [Waranle]: quote:Originally posted by xiinfaniin: I could be fairly accused that I am unreasonably harsh on this individual. But what gets me is how Ulusow opposed, article after article, any peace initiative to restore the state. It’s about the time SOL exposes his anarchism agenda and calls him for what he is. Bal muxuu rabaa, qoor iyo xero beeluhu? Mr. Faniin, you are not only unfair but you are committing an intellectual fallacy by not telling us what in his message you disagree with. Where exactly is he guilty of taking an anarchistic perspective? what do you mean by anarchy sxb? Do you mean anyone against Sheikh Sharif is an anarchist? He raises several issues worth discussing. It seems to me at least- and probably to many on SOL- that anyone who deviates from your wisdom on the TFG II is a traitor, an anarchist, a tribalist. Do you want us to applaud the defects of the so called Djibouti process? Do you want us to engage in "jaaleeyaalow sacbiya waa beri samaade?". This is exactly the problem with us somalis! We don't want critical messages that differ from our percieved love for a political process. I don't know that guy but based on what he wrote I detect no tribal motive. He expressed misgivings and the least you could at least do is to tell us why you think he is wrong. True said. At first I didnt read the comprehensive article of Dr.Culusow nor did I bother to form an opinion in this topic. But now after reading the comprehensive and insightfull article of Dr Culusow, I also fail to understand Xiinfaniin's reasons for this harsh criticism directed at the person of Dr.Culusow himself instead of his views. Some of his views are very interesting and hit the nail on the head: In the absence or insignificance of Somali political structure for consultation, advice, policy formulation with responsibility and accountability, key international sponsors are driving the state formation or composition. Another development that interferes with the internal situation include the surprise attack of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General (SRSG) for Somalia on local Media for reporting the killing of civilians by AMISOM forces and comparing them to Radio Mille Colline of Rwanda which incited Genocide. This has raised uproar within the international organizations. It is reported that SRSG has been requested to retract his statement and resign. Media censorship could be the most dreadful act at the moment. Al Shabab and the new Government are suspected of criminal acts to silence the media for different motives. The public must defend the Freedom of the Media for public interest. A serious discussion on building “Regional States” without legitimate “national government” or building “Legitimate national government” that functions throughout Somalia and supports the stabilization of instable regions has the top priority. This will prevent balkanization of Somalia. If espousing such views makes you an ''anarchist'' then I am a proud ''anarchist''. Also, I myself happen to be one of those sane Somalis left that opposes foreign-created and backed paper governments. Does that make me an ''Anarchist'' or Patriot?
  11. To those thinking (or silently hoping) that Mogadishu will become Kabul, read carefully and understand the implications. Mogadishu society has matured politically. Originally posted by Meiji: Mogadishu will not become a Kabul. Mogadishu people will resist both religious extremism and foreign backed regimes. During the last struggles the inhabitants of Mogadishu have become more aware of their common desire for peace and stability and for the common threat arising from religious extremist groups like Alshabab, Aweys faction etc, and from foreign-created and backed regimes like the TFG and the now renewed version of it. Those evils: religious extremism, warlords, self-styled representatives, and foreign-backed paper regimes, all are the product of the environment in Somalia, particularly Southern Somalia. An environment of anarchy, moral decay, lack of common vision and unity, and ofcourse lack of internal instituional building for the interior regions leads to a situation were all self-serving factions that only aspire political power with no genuine consideration for the people's interest prolong the mayhem and prevent any peaceful internal development. Fortunately, Mogadishu society has progressed and learned invaluable lessons during the years of struggle. Ever since 1991, things have cyrstalized in Mogadishu society. To achieve the common desires and defend the common interest and security of the city and its inhabitants, the enivornment needs to be transformed into one that stimulates and supports peacefull internal development of institutions that can help the people cope with the harsh reality of statelessness. Furthermore, to relief the city from overpopulation without the adequate infrastructure needed to support such a large population, it is also extremely important for the peacefull development of interior regions. Those regions where the majority of the current inhabitants of Mogadishu originated from. That is the only road forward for the capital and Somalia, and the only strategy to better prepare the city and nation for the next Ethiopian invasion/occupation and its ugly consequences.
  12. I only see AllIdamale, AllPuntland etc. As I said: Is that what is happening on the ground or what those like Allidamaale/Allpuntland fantasize about? Separate reality on the ground from fantasy of ex-TFG/AY supporters
  13. Is that what is happening on the ground or what those like Allidamaale fantasize about? Separate reality from fantasy.
  14. ^^ To lose means you have first to invest. Those you are talking about did not invest in the puppet regime nor had placed any hope in the Ethiopian occupation. The only losers are those that have invested immensely in the puppet regime and had hopes of Ethiopians doing their bidding in Somalia.
  15. Al-Shabaab oo maamul Islaami ah u sameeyay Gobollada Bay iyo Bakool Jimco, February 20, 2009(HOL): Dhaqdhaqaaqa Al-Shabaab ayaa maamul u sameeyay Gobollada Bay iyo Bakool, kadib markii uu dhawaan si buuxda ula wareegay gacan-ku-heynta Gobolladaas. Shir ka dhacay Xaruntii Baarlamaanka Soomaaliya uu deganaa ee ADC-da ayaa looga dhawaaqay maamulka labadan gobol, waxaana xafladdii lagu magacaabayay ka qeybagalay Culumaa’udiin, Aqoonyahanno, Siyaasiyiin iyo Odayaal ka soo jeeda labadaas gobol. Guddoomiyaha Maamulka labadan gobol ayaa loo magacaabay Shiikh Maxamed Cali, halka ku xigeenkiisana loo magacaabay Shiikh C/llaahi Macallin Axmed, iyadoo sidoo kalena ay jiraan xoghayayaal kale oo ka hoos shaqeyn doona madaxdaas. Guddoomiyaha maamulka Islaamiga ah ee Gobollada Bay iyo Bakool Shiikh Xasan Maxamed Cali ayaa sheegay in maamulkooda uu dadka gobolladaas ku dhaqi doono Shareecada Islaamka, isla markaana uu si cadaalad ah ugu shaqeyn doono. “Wixii ay Mujaahidiinta u dagaallamayeen waxay ahaayeen in Shareecada Islaamka dalka lagu xukumo, maantana taas Alle waa noo suurtageliyay”ayuu yiri Shiikh Xasan Maxamed Cali oo sheegay in magaalada Baydhabo oo ay joogaan lagu dhaqi jiray Dastuur ay dad sameeyeen. Dadka ku dhaqan Gobollada Bay iyo Bakool ayuu Shiikh Xasan Maxamed Cali ka codsaday in ay la shaqeeyaan, “Haddii aad nala shaqeyn weydaan wax aan qaban karno ma jirno”ayuuna yiri Guddoomiyaha maamulka Islaamiga ah ee Gobollada Bay iyo Bakool. Dhaqdhaqaaqa Al-Shabaab ayaa wuxuu gacanta ku hayaa gobollo dhowr ah oo ku yaalla Koofurta iyo Bartamaha Soomaaliya, waxayna haatan ka maamullo hoos-yimaada Al-Shabaab ay ka taliyaan Gobollada Jubbooyinka, Gedo, Shabeelaha Hoose iyo Bay iyo Bakool oo maanta ku soo biiray. ------------------------------------------------- Baidoba clans are not the biggest losers. They have now local governing institutions free from foreign puppet regime. And not Indha Cadde as you hoped for is back in the region but a local man from the people: Abu Mansuur. Puntland must be the biggest loser. So much money, energy and men poured into the ambitions of the old quisling AY and away from its own regional development agenda, end result: wasted money, energy and men. Anno 2009: AY is a refugee in Yemen, Ethiopian occupation is defeated politically and militarily. Puntland as a regional administration is now famous for piracy and the corruption/mismanagment of Adde Muse. The Western regions have broken from Northeastern region. Puntland is now trying to save whatever is left of the core (Northeastern region). Surely, Baidoba clans are doing fine.
  16. Gen Duke and Emperor, Twisted-Logic has challenged your Propaganda succesfully and posed some interesting questions. If you truelly believe in the old quisling which has sought refuge in Yemen, then tell us what power do former AY associates have in this socalled govt? Dont dogde this question with the usual rants against Nur Adde and Abdisalaan guy.
  17. Beautiful pics LSE, breathtaking! Especially the Boocame pic. Tip: Somalia is large, and there are many beautiful spots spread in every corner of our country. Lets hope your thread captures all beauty of Somalia.
  18. ^^Alshabab weren't fighting to merely free Somalia from Ethiopian occupation. They existed before the Ethiopian occupation entered, remember? WHy do you think their leaders were in the Tora Bora way before Xabashis came?Their goal was to always to rule Somalia by what they see as pure Islamic Shariah. Their motto was to get hit by by a bullet in the chest or be victorious and rule Somalia by Islamic law. Ceyro's words. So they are foreign-backed actors who have received training in foreign countries to achieve their sole objective of ''ruling Somalia''? In that sense, they are not different then those warlors trained in Ethiopia and other foreign countries and as such backed by them with the sole objective of ruling Somalia.
  19. Now, some questions: 1) High scholars in the Deen support peace and speak against the continuation of war based on their understanding of the religion and what it says. 2)Religious warlords want to oppose it and contine the war. Who is right, who is wrong? Both groups claim Quran and Sunna as their foundation for their believes...now who is to believe? I always knew that the religious warlords were just warlords who used the religion as their vehicle to gain political power.
  20. The British Somali who became a suicide bomber had abandoned a business studies course at Oxford Brookes University. I truelly believe that this young Somali could have done more harm to our enemy (Ethiopia) and could have done more good for his people and nation if he had preseverance and patience in order to finish his study and use his acquired knowledge and capabilities for his people and nation. We are all dying from within to witness our nation and people been opressed by foreign invaders and their puppets, but it is at these times that our true preseverance and patience is tested. We can use all bright young men in building a modern and strong Somalia. As such, let us finish our studies and have patience. Our time will come.
  21. You are consistent adeer, I must credit that. While others accuse you of flipflopping, I see the consistency in all of your actions. Those people accusing you of flipflopping overlook the sole thing where your world revolves around: clan, and when clan is to large, sub-clan. I have nothing against such world view, as long as it is clear and temporary behaviour in the current atmosphere filled with animosity and mistrust between the Somali groups. When the current atmosphere changes however, the likes of you either have to embrace the change and enlarge their worldviews or you will end up in the dustpin of history.
  22. As for the topic itself: Supporter of Yesterday paper-government endorses FULLY the current paper-government because of the new PM who clan-wise is close to him. Nothing new, and especially nothing to be taken serious. But dont mind me, please continue.
  23. Originally posted by Kashafa: quote: Federalism is the key and building strong locally based admins like Puntland should be the short term goal. Federalism will be the death-knell of Somalia. It will never be tolerated. It will never be accepted. Solution: One strong central government, just like we had in the '70s when we were the 2nd strongest military power in all of Africa. Only this time(pay attention here, peacnik/dh.b.lif nutjobs), only this time, instead of a nepotic, atheist, secular goverment operating on the tenents of Marxism-Leninism, there will be a Islamic central government operating under Kitaab-ul-Allah Wa Sunnata-Rasoolih. Provinces will have governors/Amiirs appointed by the central government. Example: Abu Bakr Al-Zaylaci is the current governor of the Kismayo reigion(not just city), his term is about to come to an end, another governor will be appointed, or he will get another term in office. That's the model that will be extended to all of Somalia. I know this sticks a fork in many of your qabiil-ridden throats, but um, choke on it. That's how it's gonna be, inshallah. Your vision will result in a nepotic, pseudo-religous, pseudo-religious goverment operating on the tenents of ''Political Islam''. The reason for this? The concentration of power in the hands of few men is dangerous. Power corrups men, even those who claim to be pious. As you yourself said: I'm human, abti, riddled with flaws and shortcomings. 'Rhetorical flourishes' are one of them. Don't mistake the actions of flawed muslims(aniga oo ugu horeeyo) with the beauty and nobility of Islam and Islamic Shareeca. So those ''pious men'' who will take the position of Siad Barre and instead of a pseudo-Marxist-Socialist idelogy will rule us with a pseudo-''Political Islamism'' will be NO DIFFERENT! We will not take the risk of concentrating much power in the hands of 1 or a couple of men, who will be corrupted and will corrupt the pureness and nobility of Islam and Islamic Shareeca by their flawed human actions. As for: They decide. They dictate. They rule. We will see. No despot of any color will ever rule over Somalis. These pseudo-religious, soon-to-become-despot's you are talking about will be eradicated.
  24. This is not Real Talk. Why? Someone who uses the term ''Isbaheysiga Gaalada'' without any definition or justification of the use of that term cannot engage in Real Talk. Before I present my view, which is somehow like yours without losing my head with PR terms and making a fool out of myself, I want YOU to define the term ''Isbaheysiga Gaalada''. Answer these questions if you really want to start a Real Talk and critical discussions: Isbaheysiga Gaalada in the sense that all those men who are in the paper goverment are Gaalo? Who are you to make a Muslim a Gaal? Who gives you the authority to accuse a devoit Muslim of been a Gaal? ---- Answer those questions. After that I will present my sound analysis of the situation.
