The problem is the qabiils, and apparently there is this hate between the tribes that must have been festering for centuries.

Islam teaches to love your neighbor and your family etc Islam is peace. If We don't lack the principles of islam then why is the neighbor next to you or your fellow somali using Qabil?
Brother we are lacking the fundamentals of our faith. Walahi i think the Answer is pretty simple Religion. Yes there are some ppl who would like to see a secular or a theocratic somalia but with out Islam as a base

Sister Soline as long there are people like you i have hope.
A question for all of you
How much do you think you can achieve by yourself??

I personally don't have a problem with my brothers.
But i just have to say why we have to put down our brothers and yes sisters too. Okay every country has bad and good people. I am just tired of hearing us belittle our sisters and brothers. Somali brothers are like this and that sisters are like this and like that. Please stop this
We all have our problems but you know what lets concentrate on the good stuff instead of the bad.
LEts all try to stop the Pessemistic spelling is wrong i think.
We all have to unite for the sack for our country but better all for Islam. One united UMMAH
p.s instead of saying something about the brothers at the malls maybe we can create activities that is for the leaders ... something they can do. Be good role models
peace and love for now

Assalamu Alaikum
Brother you are right
my opinion is divided we fall, united we stand," said former US President Abraham Lincoln. We as muslims need to unite today more than any age and day. We are separated and divided on useless issues and we are so weak that the Western World is playing with our people like bononi. We invite them play with us. It begins with all of us. IF we start with me and you and then friends family community, state, countries and then Allah knows how we can be. We let ppl like Baboon Bush decide laws for israel and Palestine suffers.
What do we feel when we hear about our Ummah dying in Palestine and Iraq and God knows were else. Nothing sit in our computers and simply enjoy life. We can start with a little thing. We must increase the morality and practicing of Islam by Muslims worldwide. We must teach all Muslims their religion correctly. We must support each other in the practice of our religion. We must pay special attention to new Muslims and give them the needed help to grow in Islam. Different Muslim groups or schools fight over NONSENSE. We need to learn to make dialogue together without yelling, fighting or hating and without having wars. The enemies of Islam like to see us fight and sometimes they stir up trouble to drive us to fight each other.petty differences and won’t even work together. gOSH ARE THEY winning to see shiates and sunni's fighting over Iraq. Islam is Islam. You say your Islam and yes you are my brother and my sister. No other.Another big obstacle between Muslims is tribalism and nationalism. that is just plan ignorance. It was said tribe is to recognize your selves not divide yourselves. In becoming one big worldwide family, as Allah meant for us to be, we must create an Islamic culture. We can forget other cultures. Islam is a way of life and it should be our leading culture. Islam has everything we need. If some of us live in the western world then we need to create communities where they can be active and confident. Most importantly we can become strong and united when all Muslims, no matter where they live, stand up with pride and confidence and pass these feelings onto their children. Another way of not only unifying Muslims but humankind is by educating non-Muslims about the true Islam to put down their fears and prejudices as well as being able to invite them to Islam. we must unite together to make the best education for our children. We need the best methods and enthusiastic, hard-working teachers, as well as enthusiastic givers of charity to support schools and teachers, in order to develop the best religious and academic education we can offer our children-- worldwide. Islam is our religion, our culture and our life. The next generations may be our hope and may be the unifiers, if we raise them right. However, we should not just sit and wait for the next generation to do something. We have to work towards this unification now. The result is from Allah. We are only responsible for carrying out our duties. We must be patient. It will take some time. So many Muslims are ready to fight and achieve everything in one day, but it doesn’t work this way. oky enough got go. Brother am with you any day

BILL HAD THE EXPERIENCE AND THE EDUCATION.
In today's world big companies need that. Seriously companies are tired of them hiring ppl with the education but have no idea what they are doing. They have to pay top notch money for them to be trained. Experience is what is needed don't get me wrong education and the big havard degrees are a way of opening up doors.

Suratul Ghafer , sura Forgiver
40.2 This revelation of the scripture is from GOD, the Almighty, the Omniscient.
[40:3] Forgiver of sins, acceptor of repentance, strict in enforcing retribution, and possessor of all power. There is no other god beside Him. To Him is the ultimate destiny.
Ya ALLAH THE MOST BENEFICIENT THE MOST MERCIFUL. SO MANY TIMES I HAVE GONE ASTRAY. When i ever i remember like days that everything in my life would go wrong i mean everything and i would ask Ya Allah please help me. We as human walah we are weak i would only ask Allah something when ever i was in need or something in my life would go wrong. Although i missed my salat and did everything. As soon as i make wudu and prayed and ask Ya ALLAH i swear in a heart bit i would get it. My point is we as human remember ALLAH when ever we are in difficulty but we tend to forget we ALLAH when everything is going alright.
Another Aya that helps me alot
Suratul Bagarah Cow
[2:277] Those who believe and lead a righteous life, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), they receive their recompense from their Lord; they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
now when ever i miss salat My conscience thank God to that. I feel so guilty .
[2:255] GOD: there is no other god besides Him, the Living, the Eternal. Never a moment of unawareness or slumber overtakes Him. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who could intercede with Him, except in accordance with His will? He knows their past, and their future. No one attains any knowledge, except as He wills. His dominion encompasses the heavens and the earth, and ruling them never burdens Him. He is the Most High, the Great.

AsSalaamu Alaikum to All:

Wa'alaiku Salaam,
Missing prayers because of work
Islam Q&A - 3/27/2004 8:22:00 AM GMT
Is is permissible to miss prayers because of work and then make them up once I arrive home?
Answer :
Praise be to Allaah.
It is not permissible for a Muslim to delay his prayers beyond the time when they are due without a legitimate excuse. Legitimate excuses which allow a Muslim to delay his prayers until the time for them is over include sleeping and forgetting. Doing worldly work is not an excuse for not praying or for delaying a prayer until its time is over. Rather one of the characteristics of the sincere believers is that they do not let business or trade distract them from remembering Allaah and establishing regular prayer.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“In houses (mosques) which Allaah has ordered to be raised (to be cleaned, and to be honoured), in them His Name is remembered [i.e. Adhaan, Iqaamah, Salaah (prayers), invocations, recitation of the Qur’aan]. Therein glorify Him (Allaah) in the mornings and in the afternoons or the evenings,
37. Men whom neither trade nor sale (business) diverts from the remembrance of Allaah (with heart and tongue) nor from performing As‑Salaah (Iqaamat‑as‑Salaah) nor from giving the Zakaah. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (out of the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection).
38. That Allaah may reward them according to the best of their deeds, and add even more for them out of His Grace. And Allaah provides without measure to whom He wills”
[al-Noor 24:36-38]
Even though these men engaged in trade, buying and selling, that was no excuse and it did not distract them from giving precedence to “the remembrance of Allaah (with heart and tongue) nor from performing As‑Salaah (Iqaamat‑as‑Salaah) nor from giving the Zakaah.” Rather they made obedience to Allaah and worship of Him their ultimate goal and purpose, and whatever came between them and that goal, they rejected it.
Because giving up worldly interests is hard for most people, and earning and various kinds of trade are dear to them, and it is hard for them to give that up in most cases, and to give precedence to the rights of Allaah, Allaah mentions that which will motivate and encourage them, as He says: “They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (out of the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection)” – because of the intensity of its horrors and suffering. Hence they will fear that Day, so it become easier for them to strive for the Hereafter and give up that which distracts them from it.
Tafseer al-Sa’di.
Concerning the obligation of offering prayers and the ruling on its timing, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, As‑Salaah (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours”
[al-Nisa’ 4:103].
Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sa’di said:
This means it is enjoined at its time, which indicates that it is obligatory and that it has a time (to be offered) and is not valid at any other time. These are the times that are well known among the Muslims, young and old, scholars and ignorant. They learned that from their Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who said: “Pray as you have seen me praying.” The phrase “on the believers” indicates that prayer is the measure of faith, and a the quality of person’s prayers corresponds with his level of faith.
Tafseer al-Sa’di.
And Allaah says, warning those who delay their prayers until the time for them is over with no legitimate excuse (interpretation of the meaning):
“Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As‑Salaat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salaat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.
60. Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allaah and His Messenger Muhammad), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught”
[Maryam 19:59-60]
And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“So woe unto those performers of Salaah (prayers) (hypocrites),
5. Those who delay their Salaah (prayer from their stated fixed times)”
[al-Maa’oon 107:4-5]
Ibn Katheer said:
It was narrated from Ibn Mas’ood that it was said to him that Allaah mentions prayer a great deal in the Qur’aan: “Those who delay their Salaah (prayer from their stated fixed times)” [al-Maa’oon 107:5] and “Those who remain constant in their Salaah (prayers)” [al-Ma’aarij 70:23] and “and they are constant in guarding their Salaah (prayers)” [al-An’aam 6:92]. Ibn Mas’ood said: (This means) offering prayers at the stated times. They said: We thought that these verses referred to not praying at all. He said: That is kufr.
Al-Awzaa’i said, quoting from Ibraaheem ibn Yazeed, that ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azeez recited: “Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As‑Salaat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salaat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell” [Maryam 19:59]. Then he said: “Their giving up their prayers does not mean that they do not pray at all, rather it means that they have given up praying at the proper times.”
Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 3/128, 129.
So it is not permissible for you to delay your prayers from the proper time based on the excuse of work. If you cannot pray on time at work, then you should leave this job and look for another job which will not cause you to miss your prayers. The wise Muslim should not expose himself to the threat of his Lord and he should not sell his religious commitment for the sake of passing worldly interests.
And Allaah knows best.

"O You who believe! Have taqwa with Allah, and be among the
truthful." (Surat al- Tawbah:119)
Many people understand truthfulness to mean truthfulness of the
tongue through speech alone. In reality, truthfulness is a vast
curriculum. It is as much one of the characteristics of the Muslim's
personality both outward and inward, as it is his speech and action.
From it are the following:
A. Truthfulness in conveying the Religion: That is, one must profess
the correct belief built upon truthfulness with Allah Azza wa Jall,
not upon hypocrisy, deceit and patronization. This is why
truthfulness is mentioned in the Qur'an as the opposite of
hypocrisy. "That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth, and
punish the hypocrites if He wills, or turn mercifully towards
them..." (Surat al-Ahzaab:64). Therefore, it is necessary to posses
the outward Islam with the inward Imaan; it is necessary to have the
correct belief in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Books, and the
Messengers. The outward guidance must conform to the inward guidance.
Here, is one of the hidden plots of shaytaan who inspires the daa`iya
to neglect some of the outward good deeds under the pretense that his
inner reality is not the same. So he avoids this in order to avoid
deceiving the people! This is a huge mistake. The good deed which you
perform outwardly is so because of the righteousness and truthfulness
in your heart as long as you do not do it for riyaa' [show],
reputation or in order to deceive the believers.
B. Truthfulness in speech: Truthfulness in speech expresses a
dignified personality, manhood, insight and generosity. No one would
resort to lies unless he has a wicked nature, a wicked nafs [self],
and a weak personality. A good-natured individual denounces lie and
rebukes it, which is why all of the [previous revelations] agreed
upon the prohibition and admonition of lie. How about the daai'ya
then, can you imagine him lying!? I believe not, inshaa Allah. Some
of the daai'yas may come across ambiguously by making certain
statements which some people misunderstand, then later they may find
out the opposite of what they misunderstood. Then they accuse him of
lying. Besides, ambiguity may lead to the acceptance of some minor
lies under the pretense that it is helpful!! So be cautious!
If you are in a situation that would cause you to lie, avoid doing
so, and remember the words of Abu Sufyaan before Heracles when he was
asked about the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam) and
he [latter narrated to Muhammad sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam], "I
swear by Allah, if I was sure that they would not have transmitted a
lie from me, I would have lied about you." [bukhari] This man, who
was an idolater at the time, avoided lying out of fear that his lying
would be transmitted, or that he would be insulted some day because
of it. Re avoided lying even though he needed to do so We know that
the honor of today's duaat [pl. of daai iya] has become a target for
a barrage of arrows, and this is why it is necessary for the daa'iya
to close the door before the foul wind comes in, so that he can be
safe!
C. Truthfulness in deeds: Meaning that a person's deeds have to be
purely for Allah Ta'ala without riyaa' or seeking good
reputation, "Whoever hopes to meet his Lord, he should do good deeds,
and not join any one in the worship of His Lord." and "...that He may
try you; which of you is the best in deeds." (Surat alKahf:11 and
Mulk 2) Fudail bin Ayaad commented that, "Which one of you is the
best in deeds" means 'most sincere and pertinent.' He was asked, "O
father of Ah! What is most sincere and pertinent?" He said, "If the
deed is sincere and not pertinent it won't be accepted, and if it is
pertinent and not sincere, it won't be accepted. It will not be
accepted until it is sincere and pertinent!" Included among the
subject of truthfulness in deeds is, possessing clarity and avoiding
obscurity or ambiguity. It was reported upon the authority of Abu
Dawud and Nisaa'ee that after a confrontation with a man, when the
companions refrained from standing up for him sallallahu `alaihi wa
sallam he rebuked them, so they said, "O Messenger of Allah, we don't
know what is in your nafs, couldn't you signal us with your eye?" He
(sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam) said, "It is not becoming of a Prophet
that he have a deceiving eye!!" [Abu Dawud, Nisaa'ee, Hakim, Ahmad
from the hadeeth of Anas in which it is, A Prophet does not wink.]
Tirmidhi reported that 'Abdullah bin Salaam, may Allah be pleased
with him, said "When the Prophet, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, came
to Madina the people came out and said, 'The Messenger of Allah has
come! The Messenger of Allah has come! The Messenger of Allah has
come!' So I came forward among the people to look at him (sallallahu
`alaihi wa sallam), and when I beheld his face I knew that his face
wasn't the face of a liar. And the first thing that he (sallallahu
`alaihi wa sallam) said was, "O People! Spread the salaam, and serve
the food, and pray while the people are asleep, you will enter Jannah
peacefully." [Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.] The truthfulness of the
Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam) spread from his
heart to his tongue...to the extremities, it became manifest in his
honorable face...(sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam). Everyone who beheld
his bright vision saw truthfulness and was assured that his face was
absolutely not the face of a liar!! We are in need for the type of
duaat who transmit truthfulness with their speech and deeds so much
so that truthfulness becomes a natural disposition swimming through
their veins, emerging through their outward behavior, so that when
the people see them they say, "These are not the faces of liars!" We
are also in need of duaat who are beautified with moral excellence,
who stay away from selfishness and agitation, who persevere through
their tranquility, who are moderate in their manner of speaking in
all circumstances in such a way that the people are able to look at
their characteristics and say, "These are the characteristics of
Prophets!"
Surely truthfulness in carrying our dawa is a cause for people to
accept our religion, and we should not be like the actor on the stage
who shows the people the opposite of what he really is. In this case,
the reality of such a daa'iya is quickly revealed and the people rush
away from him.
It was reported that one of the Salaf [pious predecessors] used to
affect people and bring them to tears while admonishing them, to the
point that you could hear them crying loudly. Yet someone else may
have given a better speech in the same gathering and may have been
more knowledgeable, but he could not affect their hearts nor bring
them to tears! So his son asked him about this one day and his
response was, "The weeping of the mother who lost her beloved is not
like the weeping of the one who is paid to do so."
Therefore the first mean for the success of the daai'ya is: His
truthfulness in carrying his dawa, his seriousness in it and
truthfulness in words and deeds must be his method and characteristic
of him. Elegant sweet words are not most important - even if they are
required - more important is truthfulness, that he is in harmony with
himself, and his speech comes from the heart.
Long ago it was said:
"If a word comes from the heart it will land in the heart... and if
it comes from the tongue it will not even pass the ears!!"

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatoh
Enes Ibn Malik reports that a Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah and greeted him in the mosque. The Messenger of Allah asked him where he came from. The Bedouin said:" I came from far seeking answers to some questions". Our master told him to ask his questions":
I wish to be an intelligent man, what should I do?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Fear Allah".
I wish to be a loyal servant to Allah and do what He wants me to do?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Read the Qur'an."
I wish to be enlightened and have peace of heart?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Remember Death".
I wish to be protected against enemies?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Trust in Allah".
I wish to follow the Straight Path?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Do good to others for Allah's sake".
What should I do so that Allah does not abase me?
Holy Prophet Replied, " Do not respond to the desires of your flesh".
I wish to have a long life?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Praise and thank Allah".
I wish for prosperity?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Be in a state of ablution at all times".
How can I save myself from the hellfire?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Protect your eyes and your tongue and
your hands and what is below your waistline against evil".
How can I cleanse myself from my sins?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Shed tears for what you have
done and repent by undoing what you have done wrong".
I wish to be a respectable person?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Then, don't ask for anything from anybody".
I wish to be honorable?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Then don't divulge the wrong doings of anybody".
What should I do to protect myself from the tortures of the grave?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Recite the Surah Mulk".
What should one do to be rich?
Holy Prophet Replied, "Read the Surah Muzammil".
How should I calm my fear of the day of last judgment?
Holy Prophet Replied,"Remember Allah before you eat anything and before you sleep".
What should I do to feel the presence of Allah when I make my prayers?
Holy Prophet Replied,"Give the utmost care in taking your ablutions and in being clean and pure.

Assalamu alaykum everyone,
I am writing on behalf of Elizabeth Waters. She is a young AmericanMuslim who made the wrong decision to drive fast and thus had a car accident where the passenger next to her unfortunately died. This is very hard on her to know that her friend died, but to make matters worse, she was sent to prison for vehicular homicide. She has already spent a little over 7 months in prison and she still has a little over 10 months to go. She has been Muslim for a year now. She is very lonely at prison. Her spirits are down. Whenever any Muslim writes to her, she feels very happy that Muslims are kind to her even though most of them don't know her. If you have any time at all, could you please drop her a line and just tell her that we are making du'a for her. She would appreciate more than you can imagine. Her address is as follows:
