  1. Mr. Shaqsi: What are they also doing with the Camels and Goats and the Cows. I heard they also employed Cows in the past for other fights? lol Jabril and Shaqsi I am loving this, darn be the NY Times and their lies. I bet they can never come up with this. lol Layer upon layers of ...
  2. That is really sad. I read a while back the refugees in Ethiopia are also getting aids. Some cases where find inside Somalia. May Allah help them all in their hour of need. Allow anagana naga kori!
  3. Indho Deeq: You said a friend introduce the two of you, a long time ago? Where is that friend?, Find that friend if she/he moved send her a ticket, asked her to introduce you once again, and maybe ask her to bring the two of you together, tell her to invite to a romatic resturant-the bill is one you- where she will fakes sickness, and runs out and she instists that you two to enjoy the night, she says " Enjoy the night" if you don't enjoy the night says she is going to be sicker and depress". There she saves the day, you save face, You re not a cheapo, whoo, you keep your dignity, and maybe you get the guy if you're luck and he is really prince charming. worse he might be closet monster, a Jeffrey Dalmar, who eats people at night, who cooked his mother, and maybe in time you find out and run out of town, lol Seriously, ask your friend to hook you up, if she says no, kick her skinny little arse out the window, take back your ticket and never call her long distance ever again, but if she calls you, you will talk to her about your heart ache and how much you are drooling over this guy, which then she feels sorry for you and she flights out and saves the day. Call your friend ask her, I am sure she will say yes . [This message has been edited by Ashwaq (edited 04-09-2002).]

    FOOTBALL MAD

Shaqsi, for a minute there I thought you were gonna talk about Football, I was wonder which team you were gonna say you like it, 49ers etc. I come in and you are talking about Soccer! British! We don't have great soccer teams here so we decide to steal the name from you and use it for some other game! We gave it Soccer, it sounds like something terrible, does n't it. Soccer. Ballonida Cagta i dheh, si fiican I u fahmaa marka. Go Gunners!
  5. Some of you are arguing that since we are located in Africa we can not be Arabs! Are Egyptian Arabs, How about Morrocains, Algerians, Tunisian, Sudanesse? Do you know one time you could walk to Adan, Yemen from Somalia, the water tide was so low? Are we Arabs, I don't know about you but I know My ancestors were From Arabian country, also I have african blood in me. Also,I am hearing lately people who claim they are Jews. I have seen this topic everywhere in the net, I was seeing it for the longest time, Are we Arab or African, Are we Arab or African,. I am afraid one of these days, this person or persons who keep asking this question will go mad and walk to total strangers and ask them " are you my mother?" Who the heck cares whether we are Arab, African or as some claim Jews, we are people who Allah gave them paradise for home and did not know how live in it;we are people who choose hell over Paradise! that is it!

    LADIES....

What kind of syle or closing that would atract me to a man? I like a man who knows his colours, if you don't know your colours you can kiss your outfit good bye.Kakhi or green or blue might look good on some but if it does not look good on yout hey, you don't look good in it. I also love to see a man who wears a watch, any more accessories and you become too cheapo/tacky/ pimp-looking you get the picture. One more thing clean appearance and great smell aaaaaaah, if a guy does not smell good, then forget it. The scent is what turns my head around, really.
  7. Soul_Lady: Sister you are right about all of us having different opinions, I always love to see someone who have different opinion then I do. It shows me how the other half thinks. If the whole world have been on the same page, granted the world would have been peaceful, but we would have all died of boredom! Curious and Walashiis: You can find Safi Abdi's book at: http://saba-islamic-media.com/safiabdi.htm or her home page. I am sure you can get the info on that website. They should help you on how to get her book. You won't be disappointed I gaurentee it! As the Admin said maybe you can contact the author herself she is a contributor of forum. Admin: First, I appologies if I cross-posted, I am sorry you must be patient with me. This is your home, you can do as you wish. I have been here a while now, I have yet to start a new topic, I only respond to what other started, but I chose to start this thread to maybe catch your eye, and show you that what you have here is too valuable, too great and you must not loose the chance to raise above the crown. There are so many Somalisomething dot coms but this is different. About the Qabiil Bashing, maybe I am alone on this one, let the forumers vote and decide if they want a room for Qabiil Bashing, I for one will not vote for it, and I will not visit it. There is one room I ve never even bother to look at it here- for a reason I will not state. if you open it is not skin off my back. I did not know our Asmahan is a profesor, we are all here to learn from one another, and this will only increase my admiration for this site. I think most of the people are afraid to come out here and post things lest the little monsters start to spit on their faces lol. Poor Profesor Said Samater, my heart goes out to him. I hope to see some more of his post. Keep up the good work admin.
  8. Oh that was funny. I love the late comer's wife. Oh, this gives me an idea! hhhhhhhhmmmmmmm
  9. Couple of weeks ago I discovered Somaliaonline.com. It was love at first sight or should I say Site lol. People were exchanging conversation, most of them were polite, Some funny, some extremely creative. Also, I saw a post from one of the new Somali Novelist, Safi. I loved her first novel; I was glad to see her come here. Wow, Again I say Profesor S. Samater's post, I love his books. I read all of his books that I could get my hands on. Yet again,I say another writer from M.M. Afrah. I said to myself, will someone pinch me, am I dreaming or this is reality. Could this be true. Could we find Somalis like this after all The garabage I've witnessed all over the net. Alas, Someoen wake me out of my little reverie! A qabilist, insulting the esteem Professor( A man who could be our father. A man who come down to honour us minios with his augost presence.) Women insulting qabilists, women qabilist insulting men. I said to myself there goes the neighborhood, yuck!. As I watch and watch this ping-pong insults and exchanges I was wondering what will the Admin- who after all put a lot of money and sweat into this wonderful page- do. Will he/she erase the garabage and maintaine a forum free from qabilist crap, or will he leave it as it is. Alas,he left it as it is. How disappointing! There should be something call Zero tolerence when it comes to qabiil. Sick people should be protected and segregated from the normal Somalis. When we do that, only do that could we discuss things in open and honest manner. Only then will those who are under the infulence of the sick ones heal. There are the sick ones and simpelton that follow them around. An other thought came to mind as I was writing this: I wonder if these people are not somewhat bit jealous of the professor's stature? and the qabiil is a way to hide their jundice suffering selves? Let us examine Somalis. why is it rare to see someone who actually get up and say you know what so and so is talented. The minute we see talented people, we don't look that but we find a way to discredit them, to belittle them,to take the crown out of their heads. alas, the crown only can fit its owner and not the imposters, like Cinderale's shoe. When we force the crown into our heads and find out it does not fit then we smash the wear head and the crown. Oh well that is that.,The honeymood period must be over, open the gates let the herds in. Decorum is something you need to exercise once in a while. refriand from insults, then you might grow a little bit. I only gring when I realize once again we have been deprived of a learned persons voice. Sincelery, Disappointed and disillussioned Ashwaq

Su'aasha aad na waydiisey ee ah afka Somaliga maxaa lumaya marka qurbaha la yimaado, haddaan is iraahdo ka jawaab, aniga waxay ila tahay sidaan: Qofku marka uu qurbaha yimaado, si uu isaga dhaqo "jaahilnimada" ( Allow na cafi) waxa uu isku taxaluujiyaa in uu muujiyo inuu ku hadli karo Afka Englishka ama hadba dalka uu joogo. Markaas ayuu noqdaa ilbax. Haddii uu ku hadli karin Afka qalaadse, dadka faciis ayaa u arka mid aan casriga la socon oo dambeeya. Teeda kale waxaan arkey dadka Internetka isticmaala in ay yiraahdaan ma naqaan afsoomali sida loo qoro iyaga oo ka cararaya da'. 12. As far as I know, the Middle east if you mean Isreal and Palestine they are fighting over land, Pakistan & India they fighting over land again. As for Somalis in nutshell they are fighting over lands ownership. The one who has the land controls the land simple. I don't think qabil has anything to do withit. but it is one of the vehicles use inorder to achieve this goal. That is what I my humbly opinioned.

Hi Safi, You are right, the Olamo says chat is xaraam. but why don't you elaborate on why it is xaraam and why don't you cite few Qur'anica verses to help your case a little better. BTW, love your 1st book, I am a fan already. Maca Salaama [This message has been edited by Ashwaq (edited 03-22-2002).]

Illmatic Hi, I explained why people chew Chad, but never have I suggested that it a good thing for them to do. We seem to forever blaming chat for broken homes, failed relationships, for our country go to pieces, for the young Moryaan/Dayday/jirri's action. There is a saying that goes if you misdiagnose the problem, you mistreat the problem, therefore it never goes away. I am not an ADVOCATE for chatchewing, all I am saying is when will we come to the realization our problems have nothing to with chatchewing. We must first examine why our people chew the chad, as I said it is to scape from something. The day Somalis face their problem, is the day they will be free of this chad thing. I thank People like Shaqsii for bringing this kind of topics. but I wish there were some studies done on why people chose to chew Chad.

Hello Hibo, Shaqsi and Motorcycle. Motorcycle sorry to hear about your brothers death, my condolence to you and yours. All three of you seems to be on the same page about this chat/khad issue, however I am not with you on this one. Some people of my family have been chewing chat for a long time, and yet they were part the productive society back home and still are here in diaspora. Chad has develop a bad reputation throught out the years, let us say the last 20 yrs, every since the religiose group and XHKS agree that Khat is a social disease. why not heap all the blame on this harmless, defenseless leave eh. In the nineties the media CNN, times, week etc, anyone who wanted to explain our plight blame yet again on chad. But that is not true. Have you ever thought maybe why some men and women chose to chew it day in and day out here in the diaspora might be maybe they are suffering from some psycological problem. There is something call postwar syndrome. Maybe they are suffering from that and too depress to do anything else but sit at home. Normally, when someone is depress it is hard for them to get out off bed. they needed to kill the time, what was available to them but chad, drinking drugs. They choose the lesser evil. Chad has became for them something to help them scape reality, they have a support group, bunch of other depress people sitting in one smokey room. They are listening to music and lol all night long- all that fun who wants to deal with the harsh reality of life eh. Before I blame chat anything, I would rather examine what other problems are facing our society. If you remember Somalia, chad chewing became vogue when the unemployment skyrocketed. When you see recession, you also see an increase of mental health diseases. I hope I am making sense, this place I am at is noisey. walaahi I can think st8.

Shaqsii: I know majority of people with some "vices" as you put it will not likely to take a lesson from your post. Just look at the smokers in this country, they have seen what cigerate does to the lungs, how many people died each year of some smoke realated illness, yet they puff away. What makes you think people will stop chewing just becuase you posted something. lol I think cigarete is ten times worse then chaq/khad/jad. At least the person who is chewing is only harming him/herself. I have yet to see a chaq chewers fighting amoungs themselves. They are mellow like those who smoke pot. well, yuck and double yuck I should say to smokers.

Motorcycle, lol. when I fist read his post I said to myself maybe the guy does not know that you could buy women from the stores. If you are looking for a real life one, there are some who are for sale still. No harm done. lol. This is the worse post I have read so far. Haraky, I hope you change your views about women. There are wonderful females out there, who are not incline to fight with you on the drop of a hat. The key to a women is show her some respect and she will putty in your hands. Take care bro.
  19. Jamaal: That is great idea. I don't live in London nor would I likely to visit anytime soon, but I just come in her to give you a sisterly moral support. What do you suggest you will do with this group? I like what najma said. Sports or even theater, that is if they won't beat you for suggestin it . Good luck
