who am I? and how do you know who I am? Whos my clan, saxiib?
-
quote:clan courts you supported was from a single clan yours lol, you almost spoke like a true tribalist, right tere!! Who is my clan, saxiib?
-
^^I am not supporter of Indhacade or blind follower of any living man, saxiib. That is how you define yourself( a devout follower and blind promoter or an old warlord; yusufite). Funny how you mention two warlords in the above post from other clans, but you are in blind deovtion to one yourself? Anway, it looks like you are admitting supporting the movement that took over the city for tribal reasons?

They are the same people that you called tribalists when they captured and released that Somali "parlimentarian". And yes( JIS) are resisting the EthiOS and TFG in the rest of the South, sometimes alongside the other groups. Been ha ka shegin nimanka, warya! -

Do you guys actually think before you type away? Who's you 'guys'? So I can better answer the question. Yusufites: a bunch of extremely clanish individuals who show blind allegiance to the leader of the TFG seemingly because they hail from his region. They thrown around words like governance, dowladnimo, the republic is back and other fancy words, whilst some times descending into pure and utter clanism against other Somali regions and personalities. Today they are promoting Islamic governance in that city and the local resistance movements for blatent clanish reasons. I don't think you fit that description(at least not yet) as your a newbie. But you have certainly made a gaffe when you described the folks that took over Kismayo as terrorists on friday and today promote the city as being as being "safe and calm, under Islamic law". You support the guys that took over the city now? Nuune, where is my boy Farax Brawne? He would have have field day with the boyz who have suddenly put on cimamads and even praising the likes of Hassan Turkey

^^Jabiso is not fighting in Muqdisho and elsewhere? -
Despite the man being a complete dictator, he seems very intelligent and knows how to diplomatically work the media to his regimes advantage, as well as the International community. He also seems to know Somalis very well!

As we are on the subject of Iftar, an important reminder; the sunnah is to eat a few dates, drink some`water and then perform the prayer. After this, one should sit and eat their iftar meal, rather than sitting down eating for fifteen minutes and then going to pray Maghrib: quote: But today we fall into two offences: (i) Firstly we delay the Adhaan from its legislated time. Then after this delay comes another delay, which is that we sit down for a meal - except for a few people who are eager and pray the Maghrib Prayer in the mosque. But the majority of the people wait until they hear the Adhaan, and then they sit down to eat as if they are having a dinner, or their evening meal, and not just breaking their fast.................. So here we have two commands, to hasten with two matters. So it appears to some people that we cannot hasten to perform both of them together. But reconciling between the command to hasten with breaking the Fast and the command to hasten to pray the Maghrib Prayer is a very easy matter. So it is something that our Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) made clear to us by his action and practice. He (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) used to break the Fast with three dates. He would eat three dates. Then he would pray the Maghrib Prayer, then he would eat again if he found that he needed to eat the evening meal. This is the first matter, which I wanted to remind you of, and it is how to reconcile the two things that the Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) commanded we should hasten to perform. The first being the command to hasten the breaking of the Fast, and the second being the command to hasten the Maghrib Prayer. So the Iftaar should be done with some dates, as occurs in the Sunnah, and if dates are not available, then with some gulps of water. Then the Prayer should be prayed in congregation in the mosque. che one questio, bruv; who are my/your leaders as Somalis in the diaspora?

Originally posted by xiinfaniin: Think outside of the box, how, where and when? How: see Somali conflict for what it’s and try not to bury your head in the sand. Forgo the gloomy details of warring factions and stick to the big picture. Swallow your pride, and come into terms with the painful reality of deep-seated divisions and mistrust among your people. See Ethiopia the external factor it really is, and control the urge to talk bout it in imperial terms. Embrace the notion that no conflict is unmanageable, if not completely resolvable, and Somalis is no different. Make a strong handshake with the glaring fact that there is no political neither military void in Somalia, and formulate your opinions based on that fact. If you do that, yaa Dakhtarka xoolaha, you will consequently be a passionate follower of good Shariifs School. Where: where ever you are. When: now. I see the Somali conflict for what it is: a clannish nation where people fight over resources and power. A clannish nation that couldn't agree on working formula on how the major clans to share power or how resources/cities/land will be shared. Somalia is so similar to many other failed states. Neighbours such as Jibouti, Eritrea, Kenya, Ethiopia and Arabs are meddling(openly and secretly) in Somali affairs, thus making the conflict more entrenched. In the current conflict,A bunch of youths and clerics have sworn to establish(by arms) an Islamic State in Somalia. Some subclans/families will throw their lot in with the "Islamists" and others will seek allaince with the Ethiopian state. On the other hand, some will adourn themselves with a khamess and red cimamad one day, only to buz the latest military gear from Ethiopia the next day. Alliances easily change and people can be brought for little money! Ethiopia is taking advantage of the SOmali conflict by playing the terror card and labelling Somali groups as Alqaeda linked terrorists( some take pride in that). The Worlds most powerful nation is paranoid about these "clerics" and has air, sea and ground troops on the watchout for these "wanted men". I don't think Ethiopia is imperial or some scary state that colonize Somalis like the Western powers once tried to, rather she has intelligent leaders who have cleverly made alliances with Western Nations to conquer(spelling) and control neighbouring people; read Meneliks encounter with the Europeans( whilst we were fighting over camels).Ethiopia is the cause of all the problems in Somalia? a strong no! Is the Somali conflict not resolvable? no! SHould somalis talk to each other? yes One can agree with all that,as it is simple logic and pretty obvious to even the most simplest men/women, but why do you have to be a follower/promoter of a certain Sheikh or faction to understand that? Why do you have to believe that the Djibouti deal is the greatest discovery since drug users discovered ecstacy? I think what Che is trying to say is that the current crop of leaders, ie wadaads, suicide bombers, wadad ku sheeg, warlords, clan elders, pirates, politicians, etc, have all miserably failed. He means to say the ICU/ARS have failed, as have the many other factions. That includes Sheikh Shariff- whos group has split into several factions. Therefore, a new dynamic approach is needed, that is: to think outside the box and not promote one Sheikh or one group as having the best camel milk in town. He's telling you too, ya SHeikh, to think outside the box

@JB, i bet u write to times about Somaliland? Sayid, am cool saxiib! who the black man ia ur avatar? Ibtisam, it is not shocking 2 see Somalis get A and higher grades, as it is nothing knew. this is story is different becuz she was going to a failing ghetto skool, only 16( 4 sano ku dar ) single mother, arrived from another country and got the highest grades possible which even many people who were born here dont get. some achievement i must say...........

quote:This is brilliant. This is good. Naima is and will stay as a star to all the other Africans in UK. Congratulations to her. JB, Hargeisa, good one^^ Sayid, the comment aren't that bad, you should see what they respond to with when there are articles about Moslem, African Carribeans youth, etc.

The people who brought them and the so called Sheikhs who are campaigning for more " peacekeeping troops" are 100% responsible for this.

well doen to her, but there needs to be an investigation regarding how exactly the atheletes are chosen and the way the olympic committe goes around doing it. Just because SOmalia is a failed state,it does not mean that failure should be rewarded or that Somalia can not filed decent athletes, especially in long distance running.

^^ The guy is a joka, wuxu odhan laha: " Yeah, we are truly blessed with people like me and you.......". It seems like they couldn't get a proper conversation, thus she resorted to asking him is qolo, which she obviously started praising ! Though his general points about tribalism are on point! -

Originally posted by Che -Guevara: I saw Duke and Juje arguing over who won the showdown in Addis Ababa. What seems to be lost on them is while Somalis are dying everyday, those charged with 'leading' the nation are having meaningless squabbles over nothing and what's worse they are being mediatated by foriegn entity whose interests don't align with Somali public. The same squabbles and blunders are common in Maxaakiimta and other entities who supposedly lead and represent the Somali. Does it really matter who you support anymore as none of them seem to deliver any useful outcomes that could benefit your clan, your region or your country in general. It's time to think outside the box and find new directions. Thats all well and good, but until your keep with alternatives or a different path, I'm afraid it is just philosophy. Think outside the box, how, where and when?
