    Dang it!! Its to late, i already turned my paper in :( ..I was just doing a paper on Immigrants on Welfare..

     

    getting to the point... I know they are struggling and its a huge issue, but let me clearify one thing, they never had 1 year support. They are usually given 1 month of support from Immigration Agencies then they are put st8 on welfare. Now welfare agencies take them to job training programs. They can be on Welfare for 5 years. By welfare i mean Cash Assistance. The only problem I see is these job training programs were set up for People born in the united states, which makes it harder for immigrants to learn because one needs to know the basic english language before they can go on and learn job related skills ya think!!....

    a while ago i heard on Hiiran.com something about a Bantu woman not ever using a toilet and she was shocked at the toilets and the house she was living in. Now i assumed she came from badiye, if am not wrong u said something about them now knowing how to turn the switch bulb on and off ... Are you for Real...or is this a Stereotype. All Bantus cant be like that... :confused:

    Admit it he is a genius. He is not a trabalist people what you dont seem to understand is ;he is trying to remind us of the folishness of the war and reasons why we have a civil war. he is blunt and honest. he bashes on his tribe too.. so cut the guy some slack peeps

    It varies from one person to another.

    I became a woman as soon as i stepped into the real world, took responsibility for my self and became confortable in my own skin.

    To be a woman is not about being a mother or having a sexual intercourse to me its more comlex.its realising who you R?; being strong and goal oriented.

    TO answer your questions; i consider myself a woman but not a fully grown one . i think i just entered the area and i need to get grasp of the whole womanhood. that gets to be confusing at times. alot has changed after my early teen but i think i am the same person i was just alot mature , reliable and more confident. Most importantly my dreams arent dreams any more their my reality.

    girls used to date back home! ask your parents or somali elders and you will find out how girls used to date.thugs if we didnt have tuugs back home then why do we have the word moryan in our dictionary.. ever heard of ciyaal faycali.. there was a time somali's used to have their hair cut alfis style that was a huge (probaly to this day) in somali.why? answer would be who was huge in the 80"s micheal jackson, prince, micheal something they gay guy.(i think you know where am going with it)

    dont tell me somalis used to wear hijaab all the time i mean somali women used to walk around in their dirac without gabarsaar some even used to go clubbing .there were clubs in somali.(we all know that dont we?).

    and about the 911 children used to run from their parents homes and run to other cities, am sure if we had "911" they would use it.

     

    am not saying all the thing u mention are not problems somalis are facing today but u I think is jumbing off to a conclution a little too fast , all the things u mention have been an on going societal issue, time changes and so do people(which why somali teenager are singer 50 instead of billy jean..micheal jackson) , these days it might be alittle extreme because the timewe R in is extreme its self.. smile.gif

     

    for the brother that said african americans dont have history? do ming elaborating on your hypothesis a little more.. The word Africanin the american says it all for me ..
