  1. ^^ I wish it were the same guy. War they're all (Sayid) Somal.
  2. ^^ Of course, before you hurried editing the wrong way you wrote a correct hadeeth, let me also inform you that most those in Jenna are also women. It's just a logical argument that cancels itself really (about women being more than men EVERYWHERE).
  3. ^^ VERY, very good news. I don't have to go through the death trap that is the road to Burco.
  4. Me: "Caluusha i socota" . Him: "Dhaktar o tag" Me: "I went to my local GP and he gave me some medicine" Him: "Did it work?" Me: "No!" Him: "My cousin had a similar problem. He suffered from piles and none of the doctors in London could help him so he went to Germany and now he doesn't have piles anymore. Go to Germany ninyaho" Me: "War it's probably nothing" Him: " Don't say that. All Somalis say that; what if you have calool cancer?" Me: "It's probably some food I had" Him: "Go to Germany, saaxib. Listen to me" Me: " War I'm fine now. The pain is gone" Him: "waad madax adagtahay. Sixaado ciyaar mahaa" Me: "I know, but I'm fine now" Him: "If you don't want to go to Germany; why don't you go to that French Clinic in Harley Street?" Me: "What French Clinic?" Him: "Ileen waxba lama socotid! War all the Somalis go there. Waxa la yedhi it's really good" Me: "Waxa la yedhi Germany is good too" Him: "Haa. Lakin Germany is too far. This one is in London and the doctor there even has a Somali nurse" Me: "Just because he has a Somali nurse does not make him a good doctor" Him: "I don't know about that. But, waxa la yedhi, that a woman with a brain tumor, weak heart and bladder problem went to visit him recently and he cured her from all her ailments" Me: "Did he operate on her?" Him: "No. He doesn't operate. He just gives medicine. FRENCH medicine" Me: "What's the difference between that and the medicine that normal hosptials give?" Him: "Normal hospital naga daa ninyaho. Waa cunsurayeen" Me: "I never had problems with them in the past" Him: "Have you not noticed how every pregnant Somali woman that goes to a normal hospital is always offered to have a c section? They don't want us to have lots of children ninyaho. They hate us" Me: "Kanba waa gaal dee" Him: "but he has a SOMALI nurse" Me: "But normal hospitals are FREE" Him: "Free to kill us" Me: " Stop being paranoid. They do as good a job as any other place" Him: "It's up to you lakin anigu waxaan ku odhan laha, dadkaaga dhinac ka raac" Me: " But you're all CRAZY!" Him: "How can we be crazy when we all agree and you are the only one that is different?" Me: "That does not stop you from being crazy dee" Him: "You need to visit Abu Haneefa" Me: "Not the Eritrean guy again!" Him: "What's your problem with him? He's a good wadaad you know" Me: " I have no problem with him. I have a problem with those that visit him" Him: "War waa nin fiican. He expelled three jinnis from my eedo" Me: "How did he do it?" Him: "Dee he did what wadaads do, he read quran on her" Me: "Could you not read quran on her yourself?" Him: "Oo anigu ma wadaad ban ahay?" Me: "Hada ma caasi baad tahay?" Him: " No. But wadaadnimado waa celmi dhan dee. This guy knows how to deal with Jinn and the evil eye" Me: "But Is he the only wadaad in town that can do that?" Him: "There are a couple of Somali wadaads that do it but they're not as good as him" Me: "Kuwaa ma quraanka ku yar?" Him: "Maya! But they don't have the expereince or the results" Me: "Nagada ninyaho. I will read quran on myself, if I need to" Him: "Do you really know how to read quran on yourself?" Me: "I can read quran and know the aayahs you need to use when doing ruqya" Him: "Oo maxaad ii sheegi wayday ninyaho?" Me: "What? That I can read the quran? Can't you read it yoruself?" Him: "Ma ka caadiga mise ka jinnka lagu saaro? War anigu kii caadigaan aqaana" Me: "Quraan is quraan saaaxib" Him: "You are very strange ninyaho. Listen to me and lets go to Abu Haneefa" Me: "Will that be after we come back from Germany or before we go to the French Clinic?" Him: "Sida ciyaalkaad o hadlaysa" Me: "Hada ma adiga wax macqool ku hadlaya?" Him: "I already told you, All Somalis talk in this way except YOU. Everyone can't be crazy and you're the only sane person" Me: "But everyone keeps going to Germany, French Clinics and have some wadaad reading quran on them. They, by their own admission, are not normal. Wax fahan" Him: "Carab baad tahay. Waliga Somalida ma fahmaysid!" (Naga daayaa).
  5. ^^ You mean you eat it LATER than that?
  6. ^^ She got to within half an hour of Burco (and probably even visited without realising). But she didn't go to Qardho!
  7. ^^ Juxa is a fake dumaashi of yours. She went to Somalia and didn't visit Qardho!
  8. ^^ Wakaaaa! Salaan sare ya Qaradaawi. Hope all is well with you.
  9. I am shocked to see Ibti duck and dive in such a way. She's starting to sound worse than Norf and as awful as the ghastly Xaaji X.

  11. Why was it a long and disturbing discussion, Ibti? You are right and they are wrong. How long does it take to say that sentence?
  12. *Ibtisam;895785 wrote: Che- they can't have it both ways. Either it has the responsibilities of a recognised state, or it does not. That is my regular debate with my IOM friends when they complain about the conditions of refugees in Somaliland and no welfare for them. I am like "WHAT?" lol Does that make it right though?
  13. Somaliland: Kidnapping and Disappearance HRLHA Appeal and Urgent Action December 01, 2012. To: President of the Republic of Somaliland Your Excellency President Ahmed M. Mohamoud Silanyo Somaliland1991@gmail.com TEL/FAX: 252-225-3871 . Your Excellency, The Human Rights League of the Horn of Africa (HRLHA) is highly concerned about the safety and whereabouts of Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman Yusuf, an Oromo national refuge from Ethiopian who was kidnapped from her residence in Hargiesa, Somaliland on the 23rd of November, 2012 at around 6:00 PM. Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman Yusuf Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman Yusuf, with UNHCR Case Number: 758:08C00303, was kidnapped at the time and date mentioned above by what were said to have been members of Somaliland security forces. Apart from refugee life, Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman was engaged in teaching kids, most of whom are refugees, along with her brother named Mr. Bahar Abdurahman at a school called Sh. Madar in Hargiesa. There has been no any official or confirmed report as to where Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman could have been ever since she was kidnapped. But, according to some rumours, Mrs. Riyan is being held at a jail in Jigjiga, in the ****** Reginal State in Ethiopian. As it has been the case in the past, the implication is that Mrs. Riyan is also handed over to the Ethiopian Government by the government of the Somaliland against refugee protections convention 1951 put in place in various relevant international documents. Mrs. Riyan’s father, Mr. Abdurahman Yusuf, was himself one of the victims of such actions that violent international agreements jointly committed by the governments of Ethiopia and Somaliland. Under Article 33 (1) of the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees (189 U.N.T.S. 150), “[n]o contracting state shall expel or forcibly return a refugee in any manner whatsoever to the frontiers of territories where his life or freedom would be threatened on account of his . . . political opinion.” In case Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman is to be deported to Ethiopia, the Ethiopian government has a well-documented record of gross and flagrant violations of human rights, including the torturing of its own citizens who were involuntarily returned to the country. The government of Ethiopia routinely imprisons such persons. There have been credible reports of physical and psychological abuses committed against individuals in Ethiopian prisons and other secret places of detention. This obligation, which is also a principle of customary international law, applies to both asylum seekers and refugees, as affirmed by UNHCR’s Executive Committee and the United Nations General Assembly. By deporting Mrs, Riyan and others, the Somaliland government will be breaching its obligations under international treaties as well as customary law. Under the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (1465 U.N.T.S. 185) Somaliland has an obligation not to return a person to a place where they face torture or ill-treatment. Article 3 of the Convention against Torture provides: 1. No state party shall expel, return (“refouler”) or extradite a person to another state where there are substantial grounds to believe that they would be in danger of being subjected to torture. 2. For the purpose of determining whether there are such grounds, the competent authorities shall take into account all relevant considerations including, where applicable, the existence in the state concerned of a consistent pattern of gross, flagrant or mass violations of human rights. We strongly urge the Government of Somaliland to respect these international treaties and obligations. Therefore, the Human Rights League of the Horn of Africa (HRLHA) strongly demands the unconditional release of Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman from wherever she is currently being held at; and calls up on both the Ethiopian and the Somaliland governments to ensure Mrs. Riyan’s freedom from detention. HRLHA also calls up on all local, regional and international human rights, refugee as well as diplomatic agencies to put pressure on the two governments to first disclose Mrs. Riyan’s whereabouts and then immediately release her from detention. Recommendation: v RECOMMENDED ACTION: Please send appeals to the Somaliland Government using the above address, concerned Somaliland officials and to diplomatic representatives of Somaliland who are accredited to your country as swiftly as possible, in English, Somali Language, or your own language expressing: v To disclose whereabouts of Mrs.Riyan Abdurrahman Yusuf v Your concern regarding the apprehension and fear of torture of Mrs. Riyan Abdurahman Yusuf who is being held in unknown detention centers; and calling for her immediate and unconditional release; v urging the Somaliland authorities to ensure that she would be treated in accordance with the regional and international standards on the treatment of prisoners, v Abide to the International Conventions of the refugees and asylum seekers not to return a person to a place where they face torture or ill-treatment. http://humanrightsleague.com/2012/12/somaliland-kidnapping-and-disappearance/

  18. A woman who used to be homeless and with a history of self-harming told today how Prince Charles’s charity transformed her life. Naima Swaleh, 21, who suffered from depression and made suicide attempts as a teenager, now has a full-time job and works to inspire other young people with her story. She has been nominated for a Prince’s Trust award, which is supported by the Evening Standard, to recognise young people who have turned their lives around against the odds and become role models for teenagers in London. Ms Swaleh, from Stratford, is now a Young Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, and travels the country helping to raise money and awareness of the charity. She said: “Without the Prince’s Trust I would be on the dole somewhere, sitting around sleeping all day. It changed my life in so many ways and gave me so much confidence.” Naima was born in Somalia and moved to Britain at the age of four. Her home life was strict and she began self-harming. At the age of 15 she took an overdose. She became depressed and made a second suicide attempt. At 16 she ran away from home and ended up sleeping on the streets. At her lowest ebb she almost attempted suicide again, but was persuaded to get in touch with the Prince’s Trust by a youth advice service. She said: “I was feeling very depressed and hopeless. I couldn’t see a future for myself. I was sitting there just crying and thought, ‘I need to change my life’. ” Ms Swaleh enrolled in a personal development course run by the charity which was the turning point she needed. She was so successful she was asked to be an ambassador and the presentations she gives have reduced hardened gang members to tears. Ms Swaleh, who now works in a clothes shop, said: “I don’t want people thinking they are the only ones going through something. They can always change their lives. “I was born in a tent in Somalia. My mum had to do everything for us. I thought I would never be anything.” Dermot Finch, regional director for the Trust in London and the South-East, said: “The Standard shares our ambition to tackle youth unemployment, helping disadvantaged young Londoners into work. “We are thrilled that the Standard is supporting the Young Ambassador Award at this year’s Prince’s Trust & Samsung Celebrate Success Awards. All of our incredible finalists prove that it is possible to achieve great things, no matter what background you’ve had.” The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Southampton today and will go on to a national final. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/i-was-homeless-and-suicidal-but-princes-trust-saved-my-life-8381253.html
  19. ^^ Yes. By posting a picture of them and saying "this is how Che looks like. Look at that tatoo on his neck!"
  20. ^^ That site didn't have any naked or "porn" pictures of people. It had what we find today in FB, normal pictures. It's amazing how things have moved on since those days.
  21. ^^ Dee waa waxan ay Faheema sheegayso (morning Faheema). (Morning Juxa).

  23. Anonymous target revenge porn site owner Hunter Moore The former owner of a "revenge porn" website has been threatened by hacktivist collective Anonymous. Hunter Moore used to post sexual images of men and women without their permission, along with links to their social networking profiles. Mr Moore said he will launch a new site soon, telling one technology blog he would also post home addresses. He later said he was "misquoted", but Anonymous has said he must be held "accountable for his actions". "We will protect anyone who is victimised by abuse of our internet, we will prevent the stalking, rape, and possible murders as by-product of his sites," the group said in a media release. It added: "Operation anti-bully. Operation hunt Hunter engaged. We are Anonymous, we are legion, we do not forgive, we do not forget, Hunter Moore, expect us." IsAnyoneUp Mr Moore sold his old website, IsAnyoneUp.com, to an anti-bullying charity in April this year. Until that point it had gained notoriety for publishing pornographic pictures of men and women from all over the world, sent in by disgruntled ex-boyfriends and girlfriends. So-called "revenge porn" is common online, but Mr Moore's site angered anti-bullying campaigners further due to the inclusion of links to social networking sites - leaving victims open to large levels of abuse. People who had made requests for the photographs to be removed were often ridiculed further, and the huge majority of legal threats against Mr Moore were ignored. "I sold it because I hated what the media turned it into and it could never be what I wanted it to be," Mr Moore has said about the closed site, which reportedly made him about $20,000 (£12,400; 15,335 euros) a month from advertising revenue. Speaking about his new venture, which has not yet launched, he said: "This time I am doing it right. I am creating something that will question if you ever want to have kids. "I am making something very scary but yet fun." Suicide Mr Moore told technology blog Betabeat that the new site would "introduce the mapping stuff so you can stalk people", but in a subsequent interview with Salon magazine he took back the comment, stating that he made it while "drunk". Regardless of his intentions, Anonymous published details about Mr Moore online, including the names of family members and his home address. The group posted a video about their actions to Vimeo. In it, they showed pictures of Amanda Todd - a girl who committed suicide after topless photographs of her were circulated on the internet. Prior to her death, 15-year-old Miss Todd created a YouTube video describing how she was bullied. Mr Moore, who has said his new site has had thousands of submissions, has in the past said he holds no guilt over what he does. "It's anonymous to me. I don't know the people - it's just a little picture on a screen," he told the BBC in an interview in April. "If you're just crying over some [picture] you sent to some boy you just met, no I'm not going to take it down, and no I don't really care." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20579728
