    Og Girl, I do get what your saying, the problem is not communicating in English, but the fact that some people in SOL are disdainful to their own language. For all i care you could be talking in swahili, but why this fuss about your own language? It's not right.

    Besides, it was not my point to suggest that people who are advanced in Af Soomaali should belittle the ones who are not. On the contorary, they should help them 'get there' at least.

    Anyway, i could be argueing till i see red in the face, it just dissapoints me to see that i have to search for a forum to post my soomaali thoughts.

    You read right, it's not your tired eyes playing tricks on you, I am objecting. I'm objecting against this so called new forum 'Dood Wadaag'. I was against it from the beginning when the admin mentioned this dreadful idea, but to have it implemented already is not on. Why would i have to think twice, before writing anything in my Mother language whether it's the right forum or not? Besides, if there is a Somali forum, wouldn't it be fair to have other forums of other languages, since people worldwide use this website as a means of communicating with other nomads all over the world. Thirdly, this would further seperate people from eachother, while the whole purpose of this website is to bring Soomaali people closer, or am I mistaken?

    Why act in the interest of the Minority when the Majority obviously has no problem with the reading and writing of their Mother language.

    Furthermore, i think it would encourage other nomads who are not so strong in their own language, to learn it, so they could participate more actively (if they wish) in the Af Soomaali threads.

     

    I'm very dissapointed to see this 'seperation of nomads' happen to say the very least :( .

    i agree, i think they lack originality our people don't u think?

    Besides the fact they don't really put in work is due to opening their businesess in not so suitable areas. They should go and open them on the High Streets, where people are more likely to spot you, and thus use whatever facilities you have to offer. A bit more variety wouldn't kill either. It seems like they have no business sense either. If your neighbour is selling the same products, why spend a fortune on getting the exactley same ones and then selling them too, mostly for the same price. Be a bit more competitive, offer lower prices, buy one get one free offers lol.

    I think a solution would be for anyone who wants to open a business, enroll yourself into one of these quick business courses so you have an idea of what to expect, planning etc.

    That's my three cents anyway

    the UK people could have this headquarters where we can hold regular meetings...open debates, whatever floats your boats, and the USA people could have their own headquarters...OR we could host this ball, where everyone is supposed to come in traditional clothing, and i don't mean diracs....OR an alternative that won't be a problem with wherever you are, meet in paltalk

    OR...i mgith sell them on ebay and the profit i make would come in handy to buy some new ones... starts to dream about all the possibilities

    The only somali movies or come remotely close i have seen are the hindi ones with the somali voice overs. those are nice but a bit too sappy, but the reer xamar accents are hilarious!

    The only real somali movie i'm aware of so far are the qabyo ones...though i heard there is one coming out soon, its supposed to be about love and youths nowadays :confused: ...can anyone confirm on that

    Rendevouz, the links were helpful, but to those who don't understand dutch, it's pointless. Nevertheless, the more talk this disgusting nasty piece of work gets the more she gets what she wants.

     

    Personally i think it was wrong to kill Van Gogh prior to Hersi Ali, as her death wouldn't have caused as much problems for the muslims in holland as his would. Already mosques and islamic schools have been blown up, people are arrested for being muslim and at the wrong place at the wrong time (the haagse train station :rolleyes: ).

    She deserved that death more than him, besides she's gone AWOL now...i would say run for your life.

    Their arguments are based on nothing actually, women get abused all over the world, and in most religions. It's not a fixed thing, that only applies to islam. How many cadaan, gaalo women reside in shelthers, get killed, raped, beaten by their husbands, day in day out? Uncountable. But ofcourse the attention always falls on the minority, especially if they are muslims...oh pardon me, i meant islam extremists :rolleyes:

    These so called R&B songs nowadays do my head in. It seems like everyone is so sexually frustrated, naked women in every video clip, shaking their arses in front of the camera's like their lives depend on it. And all the song is talking about is how they will get their freak on.     well it certainly is greed...somali people and greed...you know what this story reminded me of? The woman who goes to visit her neighbour, and sees her neighbour has got new daahyo, freshly sent from Saudi, and a new set of fadhi carabeed, and the children are playing with some new toys, and the tea get brought in new china set...so she goes home after the visit, decides to make a long distance call to her sister in abu dhabi and casually mention that she needs new curtains (there's absolutley nothing wrong with the ones she's got now)...she'll it pay it off using the hagbad money that she will get end of the week...and oh yeah she changes her telepohone number to avoid saying 'she hasnt got any money' to callers from Somalia :D

    It would figure that you guys would probably come with replies like 'are u sure he is 100%guilty?' Don't try and excuse him. Furthermore, if a research showed that 1 in 3 men would rape someone and perhaps even murder, if they would not get find out, i would most probably say the son of a **** is guilty...110%

     

    laakinse yaaba adinka na'iga sugayay sympathy and to try and understand what rape involves. And you're right, the woman/girl needs to get over it rather than losing her life for some ego-maniac prick that decided he fancied some **** and would it get it roughly.

    I would say she should get on with her life for the next ten years...wait him up when he's out of jail...then drive him to a secluded area....cut off his testicles...burn it in front of him while sprinkling dog piss on it...then release him in the wild...that should settle her mind :mad:
