  1. Don't blame A&T. It is a xabashi thing to hate fish. They have/had plenty and yet they consume little.
  2. How come peace and liquidation are in the same sentence. The one who is advocating liquidating people is no peacemaker but warmonger. And sadly war gets war. Peace Action, In case you were misinformed, ONLF is fighting xabashi's war. ONLF is fighting his war against this guy and losing badly.
  3. MMI, Passerby xabashi wuu dhaafay waa tigree, its been proven meles baa adeer u ah. Are you sure?
  4. Jabhad, the Ethiopian TV said they made a mistake and AbdiKarim has NOT been gunned down You do follow "xabashi" news after all. You are one step closer to redeeming yourself. are u also a somali? If so, why read xabashi news sites and on the top of that post their news to a somali site. It is like a palestinian using an israeli site as his news resource. -The Zack
  5. If you can't beat them join them. Nothing wrong with that.

  7. Deputy commader of ONLF and head of Training, A-Kerin Sh. Muse and 17 others killed near Degahabour. This is a major blow to ONLF's already sagging moral. That hapless group is so divided it is an easy pick for Ethio troops. http://www.ethiotube.net/video/9075/ETV-News--ONLF-commander-and-17-others-killed
  8. From your "Amara", "alien" or "woman" (or all or none) member of this forum.
  9. This has sent shock waves in ONLF land. O....n Online's mad editorial speaks volumes about the state of affair in ONLF land.
  10. I don't think they are snitchs to be honest i think your mistaking them with Maxamed Daud Ali's boys in jigjiga. Are you kidding me? They were Uncle Sam's reliable snitches until uncle Sam found a better substitute- one that won't offend Ethiopia. Nowadays it is common to hear about one faction snitching on another for Ethiopia. Of course they blame Somaliland or Puntland to divert attention from their own weaknesses.
  11. PasserBy, are you saying there could be the possibility that ONLF are natural born snitchs? There is no question about it.
  12. I am sure you visit Ethiopian news sites. The only difference between you and I is that I am not ashamed to admit it. In fact I will continue to post news items relevant to Somalis, whether it comes from an Ethiopian or an Israeli web site. There is nothing in this Forum's rules that says I shouldn't paste articles from Ethio sites. If you don't like what I post, you are free to skip it. But don't dictate me what I should and shouldn't read, write or watch. Your talibanistic attitude doesn't sit well with me.
  13. There are rumours that an ONLF faction may have tipped the Ethiopian government on the Al Shabab/OLF cell that was about to commit terrorist act in the country.
  14. Terrorist Attack Foiled: task Force Addis Ababa, May 3, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - OLF and Al-shabab Terrorists, who were trained and assigned by the Eritrean Government to hamper the 4th national elections, were put under control, said the National Intelligence and Security Service and Federal Police Joint Anti-Terrorist Taskforce. In a press statement it issued here on Saturday, the mercenaries (the terrorists) of the Eritrean government were put under control while attempting to enter to Ethiopia via Somalia border. Other terrorists, also sent by the Eritrean government, along with their arms were caught while preparing for an attack in Addis Ababa City by security forces and the city residents. The Eritrean regime has been engaged in subversive activities with an intention of tarnishing the image of the election in Ethiopia, according to available information The statement called on the society at large to foil the terrorist and mercenary attacks of the Eritrean regime against Ethiopia http://www.ena.gov.et/EnglishNews/2010/May/03May10/111759.htm
  15. Front leader, members to hold discussion with residents, elders Thursday, 06 May 2010 Dawud Mohammed Ali Gode, May 6 (WIC) – Leader and members of the United Western Somali Liberation Front (UWSLF), who agreed to abide by the Ethiopian constitution and operate peacefully after 18 years of armed struggle, on Wednesday arrived at Gode town to hold discussion with residents and elders. UWSLF Leader, Sheik Ibrahim Mohammed, and members of the Front were welcomed by Chief Administrator of the Somali State, Dawud Mohammed Ali, at Gode Airport. Dawud on the occasion said the door is open for any group who aspires to operate legally, peacefully and in accordance with the Ethiopian constitution. He said UWSLF’s decision to operate peacefully will help government’s efforts to bring about peace, stability and speedy economic growth in the state. Dawud also pledged to offer the necessary support for the success of the Front’s peaceful activities. UWSLF Leader, Sheik Ibrahim Mohammed, on his part said the Front came to this decision as the Ethiopian government opened the door for any group who wants to operate peacefully and legally. He said the Front has carried out armed struggle over the past 18 years erroneously and is now ready to work peacefully in consent with country’s constitution. Similarly, the Front began its 31st regular session in Adadle woreda of Gode zone yesterday in attendance of its senior leaders and members residing here and aboard. The conference is expected to deliberate on Front’s future action plan as well as its relation with the government and the residents. http://www.waltainfo.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=21319&Itemid=52
  16. But you believe ONLF is a terrorist truck burner right? Whether they burn trucks or steal goats, ONLF folks are delusional bunch who inflict pain on their own people. The fact that over 2.5 million registered to vote speaks volumes about the wishes of the people in the region. They want to live in peace and harmony. They want to see their region developed by leaps and bounds.
  17. If I am not mistaken ONLF was part of the government during the transitional period in early 1990s. I don't know what caused it to walk away, but once WSLF signed an agreement with the government, it was a matter of time before ONLF capitulated. By the way, don't believe ONLF's endless military communique from London. It is meant to keep its supporters from yawning for sleep.
  18. ONLF to become Legal opposition? While new comers to the extremism camp, the likes of "Ginbot 7" warms up to cozy with the regime in Asmara, the old timers are giving up arms and Asmara and are rumored to have shown their interest to join the legal process. Weeks after the WSLF deal, the Ethiopian government and the ONLF may be on the verge of signing a deal where the ONLF will become another legal opposition abiding by the constitution. Although we have not been able to confirm the "news to come yet" ,if true, this is a huge development and will help the democratic process in Ethiopia immensely. As you all know for the first time Ethiopians all over the country including people in the Somali Regional state will be casting their vote on May 23, 2010. 19. http://www.addisfortune.com/Somali%E2%80%99s%202.7m%20Voters%20Bring%20Natl%20Count%20to%2032m.htm Somali’s 2.7m Voters Bring Nat’l Count to 32m The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) disclosed an additional 2,755,453 registered voters from the Somali Regional State, universities and the military on April 16, 2010, bringing the total to nearly 32 million. Somali Regional State has produced 2,524,184 voters, out of which 1,380,512 are male and 1,143,672 female. The remaining 231,269 voters have come from 111 sites, including high education institutions and military camps. These sites delivered 189,923 male and 41,546 female voters. “The number of registered voters has increased from 29,170,867 to 31, 926,320,” Mohammed Abdurrahman public relation officer of the National Electoral Board told Fortune. The number of total registered female voters has increased from 14,067,022 to 15,252,240. The male registered voters also show increase from 15,103,845 to 16,674,280 voters. There are 31 candidates from the Somali Regional State for the Parliament, according to Mohammed. The number of registered voters at four universities and some Somali remote areas are not yet received by the NEBE because these places are remote from Addis Abeba. When these data are received, the total is expected to exceed 32 million voters. “This exceeded the board’s expectation by two million additional voters,” Mohammed said. Special polling stations are prepared for military and civil personnel of the defence forces and students of higher learning institutions because they live far away from their constituencies. However, they can only vote for candidates fielded in the constituency where they had been living before, Merga Bekena (Prof.) chairman of the NEBE said. “These special polling stations handle 700 voters to avoid being crowded at one place,” Merga, told Fortune. A total of 2,205 candidates are running for Parliament in all regional states, of which 1,948 are male and 257 female. For regional councils, there are 4,023 male and 711 female candidates. There are only 31 independent candidates at both levels, of which only two are women. By EDEN SAHLE FORTUNE STAFF WRITER

  24. it does not add up, so this is not true. how could they train somali insurgents from hargaisa, there are no training camps Where in the news article does it say there are training camps in Hargeisa? The training camp is more likely in southern Somalia or in Eritrea. And they may have traveled to Hargiesa from there. The question is who let them in? Who in Somaliland knew about these two terrorist trainers and when?
