LOL! the way he's singing and looking at the girl between 0:40 and 0:45 kills me - that's no kid for sure icon_razz.gif

  2. This video definitely hits a nerve redface.gif

I've struggled for the past three years to pray regularly and consistently, but I just can't manage. I think it's a combination of my work/school schedules and plain laziness...

Any advice on how someone could make prayer a permanent part of their life?

  3. cool article. (I've been to that hospital to visit my cousin's wife after she delivered a baby)

Using the women’s success as evidence, the book argues a simple point: if you want change for the better in developing countries, invest in women.

Hello....invest in men too!! what's the point of empowering only half the population? If you ask me, empowering women and opening up all these new ideas to them is just going to make things worse for them if men aren't empowered to change some of their ways of thinking.

  5. I thought being white-white wasn't considered that beautiful now - back in the day they called it being 'fair'...now they say 'pale'! icon_razz.gif

sometimes I feel sorry for them, cooking themselves out in the sun for hours trying to get darker.

True... I know someone who can't drive anywhere new without a GPS. whatever happened to using your brain?

If only you'd stop putting that cold Henna on the boy's leg.
    exactly! :D

Never saw "SAW" or "Friday 13" but heard they are like

Yeah, Japanese horror movies scare the heck out me too. they don't use that much gore/blood but they're still so freaky.

SAW as awesome! I think I liked the first one best.

haha! NASA says it's "crashed" two spacecrafts ("at twice the speed of a bullet")...but that sounds like bombing to me icon_razz.gif The US military could learn a thing or two from NASA's PR people...

  10. people kill themselves all over the world...here they use pills, guns or knives. in all the ways to kill yourself though, burning is the one I never understood. if you're going to kill yourself it should be quick and painless.

I used to watch bollywood movies with my mom when I was younger and even as a young kid I got annoyed at how most of them ended with the girl putting herself on fire. what a ****** thing to do.

anyway, it's sad when the woman feels like that's her only way out. (I'm just adding this line so you guys don't think I'm heartless.)

  11. funny i always thought alcohol was a known substance to destroy brain cells.

I read this somewhere a while ago:

"A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. The general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. As we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine."

I'm no scientist so I have no idea if this is valid...it's a pretty clever way to argue for drinking alcohol though.

  12. Young girls are increasingly posed as sexual objects of the adult gaze, while numerous clothing ads feature women dressed as little girls, sucking on lollipops, kneeling, crouching or lying in positions of subordination. Witness the 20-year-old model Lily Cole, ribbons in her hair, clasping a teddy bear for French Playboy. Childishness is sexy, these messages seem to say. Ergo, children – especially little girls – are sexy.

I wonder if this is why young little girls are expected to wear the hijab these days.
