^^Wax Walan Hey Lily Val, Hello and belated congrats and all. the old troll went out of capacity coz Faheema posted a large photo. It won't let us open the thread no more- so we were forced to open a new makhaidey.
-
Looool @ Ngonge!!! Shiid I did not see that! Juxa: I think you got the wrong end of the stick with that one- I explained to Faheema and the girls on Sat what I meant and they said that is not what I said on the thread. So I will settle that with you over a cake fight inshallah.
-
^^Sheh Depends on how much they object, and how much you stick to your guns. If you feel strongly enough I'm sure you will object loudly enough. Some parents are more set than others. My family will object- but quietly, so I would not have to fight them- they will just tell me lots of stereotypes about the said clan and joke about it, but they will never say you cannot marry this person. Sayid: Do you have guys from Qardho just sitting around your office- meel kasta you are offering one to girls
-
Loool Sheh. I think everyone sees individuals until the parents ask "oo waayo and then you go back and say War maxad aheyad?" and that only happens in matters of marriage. I think in the west that is the only time anyone ever bothers mentioning clans or it is likely to impact on us. Nevertheless we cannot control what people think of us as an individual or clan, but we can control what we think and how we justify it. In the Somali context clan matters- if not to you individually then to your parents or someone in your family;- at least enough for them to ask wa ayao. Maybe in about 3-4 generations or so, parents won’t ask what clan is he/she, but it is a dominate question still. Juxa Somalis will be Somalis. Remember when we were doing the fundraising, people kept asking me if the money is going to Burco. Sheh enjoy your shopping and don't kill the shoppers with your cill- you should've gone while everyone was still at work though- now you have to fight the after work rush.

^^The PMs- thats for them to get over, well half will write me off in the bad bad people's book- and the other half, to be honest I was never going to get on with someone who shouts you effin islaweyn qaladan. I think they have more issues with clan than I, who they are trying to preach to. The voicemail was a request for help.... Well not with the lynching mob but with my mad boss.
-
Qarxis.com @ JB I would have gone, but these things are always 90% Male, old and everyone wants to give a speech at question time. They did not even bother to invite a women as the guest. How can you have a conference on development with no female rep?
-
^Ma adiga aya chai walle aha today. I'll have one thanks.
-
Sayid; I doubt you can term it as "poor Ibti", and I was not bashing heads, I was just saying my view.
-
Strange I don't feel that at all. In fact don't even see what there is for me to get over. Maybe I will notice next week or something.

Tasmanian devils have a notoriously cantankerous disposition and will fly into a maniacal rage.... ....Tasmanian devil as a seething, snarling, insatiable lunatic is Sounds like me;- I did like the being on drugs better though. Juxa; it is Okay for a girl to be short Sheh I won't.
-
What is a Tasmanian Devil fever? (never watched cartoon?) I did not say anything about Juxa  Today I am being blamed for what I have done and what I have not done alike!. Yaab and a half.  Ngonge You wish!!! lool. Edit: Sheh I am not good at hints either- so far wawaney ku diig please.

^^^Lool Malika; Aniga? I was asking why it was so important, but thanks for the tip, biyo anyan isku qulaamin even though aan deganah. Juxa, Kuwa aniga iga sii gaabanah P.s. I guess I need to beat about the push for everything in the Somali context- plain speaking is offensive.
-
Ngonge is the same hight as me. Aniga aya is aga tagey. What is the big deal anyway?
-
Sheh: You mean medication?? Why?
-
^^What are you and Ngonge trying to say about Juxa
-
Juxa: I don't have a daughter and if I do, she will be half Bengali and almost 20years younger than him. I already have issues with that and it aint coz he is southerner Blue loool strange goals!! Sheh I was talking about the PMs she is getting saying how she is so nice and lovely, how can she put up with me. But I agree on the looks part.
-

Firstly you are a liar- I imagined that since you grew up and got married and all, you will grow up a little on this forum too. Sadly you are still up to your old tricks. In that Qabiil thread, the reason it got deleted (and you went on to make another called Gahanima & Nomadic) was because it was full of your insults and cantrabaqash, which started as result of me and Nomadique saying we are unlikely to marry from outside the Northern region. You started a triad of insults about how northern girls this and that and now you want to mask it as if it was respectable discussion. I have not insulted any clans or even traits of guys, I have preference- I did then and I still do. SO WHAT? Ilaahoo qaluubta noo daawee lol awalna bajaqyaasha burco baadiyaheeda intee kasoo tagaan ayee nin wax bartay xamar kasoo raadsan jireen hadana iyagoo bustii burco wili wato bee nin reer koonfur ka faanayaan lool magaalo London laho aan joognaa maad ka wadaan? lool Wareer Badanaa!!! Secondly your whole theory that women use to go from the villiages and miyi of Burco to marry men who were "educated" in Xamar is just that, your theory, and one that is highly unlikely considering the distance and the control that fathers have over the girls. As for in laga faan reer koonfur men, cida ka faanta uu sheeg and safe me your bulshid. Originally posted by Kool_Kat: quote:Originally posted by *Ibtisam: we have no problems with the guys marrying out, it is the girls we have issues with. Ibti, ama lug ku qas, ama jilib ku qas, ama suxul wax ku qas wiilasheena anageyba inaga badneen, so as a friend of mine would say 'hold your horses'...Erm, do you even have horses in Burco? Wiilasheena iyagoo helo karo mid aadan umodeyn inuu carabka muruq ka galay markey la hadleyso, markey u dhoola casseysana aad moodo in ilkaheeda nuurad lamariyay, oo hadana 'aboow macaan' ugu sii dareyso Northka uma soo socdaan... KK, You know Walihi it shows that you mix with all kinds of people from different walks of Somalia because pretending iyo is macanise kuguma jiro. I feel like you have been the most honest and straight forward on this issue. Some people think sweeping under the table makes it all go away. Others do not interact with others and live in a little bubble. To answer your question, I don't know but some of them must want them and it works the other way too. I happen to like the whole carabka muruq ka galay style of talking, it is the only thing that will do for me- a matter of taste eh. The rest of the outraged crew, Oh well as the youth say shid happens. *Waves at Ms DD*- I am trying to warm myself up in this snow dear- hence the walwalaq P.s. I don't feel the need to say I am not qaablist BUT..... so think what you want, who cares

^^The half that matters is man. Blue: Looool, you are going to go through stages huh. Malika: In SOL some people like playing a game of chest- they only say things that make them look good and perfect, best foot forward and all. It is nice experience for them to be outraged about something, benefit or clan. Tell them Somalinimad qaata and put it in your bag.

^^The days are really short now- Do Weekends, wake up late and by the time you finish praying zuhur, asr it is time to breakfast. Easy, so so easy. Go for it sis. I always start mine the day after Eid (shawaal & pay back) TV date is the new HIT thing girls- leave him alone.
-
Juxa; Loool What did you tell them we share a deep love for cake that goes above the farah levels Blue if I have three different crews-: "Sis, you cannot really think like that, I can change your mind- bal give it a chance" OR "Sis, Oh MY god I thought you was great, never could have guessed you are yad yad ya" and Lastly " You ffin qaladan isla weyen go to hell". Loool HAHAHa Blue which crew you wanna join? North I guess you need a holiday to recover from the holiday I can understand.

Lool Juxa- I don't eat half of those things and i don't have food poisoning. I'm just pissed they keep selling me stuff I can't eat- my taste buds are offended.! I am getting hate mail from SOLers who never even post. So so sensitive people are, let it go people. That was last week- its a new week.

Me: Hmmm maybe wa halfcast Her: No, no, no wa somali Me: Oh well, maybe he has no family to feel shame Her: Go go and watch it- it is on repeat. Me: Can't be asked- it is just a farah Her: Hehehe, he'll be back next week to report on his date. His name is farah farah. Me: hmmm lol Monday- she is still thinking about it! Poor girl was shocked Now I'm thinking I need to see this guy

SalamAlikum and Morning all. I had a girly giggle field weekend (ok okay, they giggled and I did my manly laugh) Juxa can I sue the local Tesco- they sale out of date stuff and everything taste off. They said it is because they cannot work their freezer/ fridge (if your wondering why I complain or bother instead of going elsewhere- where I work it is the only thing in miles (even it is 8mins walk). How do I find the trading standard people?
