You guys know nothing about the Somaliland law, if anything happens the power will be automatically transferred to head of the Guurti and Saleebaan Gaal will be the interim president of Somaliland until Somaliland elects a new president.

Somalia needs to transition from these jokers who call themselves MPs to serious and qualified politicians that can deliver for the Somali people as a whole. We cannot seriously re-unite our country with Somaliland or Puntland without a serious class of political leaders who have the courage to lift the Somali people up.

I changed my mind. Somalia is too far gone to be given grace. Time to break up the country and let Somaliland and Puntland go.

Berbera Port is already making its mark on the region. In a recent World Bank survey of port performance, only Djibouti and Salalah Port were ahead in the rankings. Berbera Port was ahead of all other ports in the region including Kenya's flag ship port of Mombassa, Yemen's Aden Port and Port Saed in Sudan, just to name a few.

The world has changed and people have moved on. Even though the foreign minster is from Somaliland and not part of Barre clan. Of course this was all before the mass purging of the civil service before Afweyne became tribalistic.

  6. Something I like about both Puntland and Somaliland parliaments is that elections take place and the citizens elect their own leaders. The same cannot be said for the south but is this due to culture? I won't go over the brain dead mistakes made by both Aideed & Ali Mahdi in 1991 and the total destruction of Mogadishu. What is in the south that make them so uncivilized? To this day Amisom troops protect the FGS from terrorist and clan militias. Has there never been a proper reconciliation between the varies clan militias like there was in the Burco conference?

Does anyone know the way forward from this humiliation and backwardness?

  7. President Hassan Sheikh and PM Hamza may drive the federal government project into the abyss. Maybe the Somalilanders are right to go it alone since they have seen something in the southern culture that cannot be repaired with words alone. Is the south too far gone?

  8. Not really as Somaliland does not have food shortages also the same with Djibouti. The truth of the matter is that the federal government of Somalia is deeply incompetent at managing the affairs of the Somali people. The rains failing and Ethiopian dams cannot explain why the towns and cities in the south are facing food shortages when Somalia has the largest coast line in Africa full of fish.

We need a patriotic government that deals with the pressing issues of our people instead of a president running around on foreign trips. I do believe that Hassan Sheikh is deeply incompetent due to him being in way over his head and unable to seriously provide practical solutions to the Somali people.
