  1. Sky: You can watch it on ETN; the new Puntland TV channel released on digital TV How sad that we can't watch it over here in the west. I hope that we can watch it inshallah in the new future.
  2. I know all the facts insight out walaal Sky thank you for agreeing with me that Eyl is a very, very, very special place We once had some beautiful pictures of Eyl and surrounding area, they were big posters in frames, they were big as a picture but the posters were photographic life images of the beautiful imagery of Eyl both parts were represented "Dawad" and "Badei" however we lend it to a Somali and never saw the pictures again because supposedly he had misplaced them and he also coudn't remember where he stored them because he originally wanted to show it to his family and returned after a week or so because he was taken away by the beautyness of that place but never mind it was predestined but I often think about the pictures. Anyhow I'm going to Eyl come 2006 ofcourse after the World Cup is finished inshallah, anyone interested to accompany me to Eyl? Send me a PM folks. P.S. If you're a little bit mental and you've got a knife under you belt or in you sock pls don't try to contact and befriend me because there is no way I will be going anywhere with you. Thank you folks.
  3. Bashi: Very interesting Walaal is that all you have to offer, where is the analytical thinking and weighing up different opinions approach that you had demonstrated and contributed so many times in here, franky speaking I'm very dissappointed Now back to the serious issues concerning our homeland. Although I think that PM Gheedi is wrong on the matter concerned however I would like to see a different response which is much calmer from the authorities in Puntland State of Somalia. Usually two wrongs don't make a right and the Puntland authorites should have conntected the PM privately because they know him and they have already welcomed him in the Puntland State of Somalia. Nevertheless the authorities were angry about the harsh critiscism and the medium he used, which was the BBC Somali Serivce, that had many times before broadcasted cheap propoganda and emphasised to portray Puntland in a bad light. We Somalis don't seem to understand the concepts of federalism. Each state has got its own parliament, state president/governor, police force and constitution. The Puntland State of Somalia can make business deals with whom they will taking into consideration that it is not against the constitution of Puntland and that prior to the "deal" that the parliament votes and approves on it. Furthermore the public have to be told, which President Cadde emphasised on midweek gone. They don't need any other "permission" from the central government because it does not concern the central government. I remember that in the height of the conflict in Europe, the Cold War that a certain federal state in Germany went to the USSR (the enemy) for talks on some business deals and the central government in Bonn wasn't even aware of it and there was no controversy. The State President flew to Moscow made his business deal and exchanged the documents with the head of the USSR. My only worry is that the companies Cadde wants to deal with, that they are companies who could be traced to a country and if something goes wrong that they could be accounted and make responsible for. We don't need some dodgy third world enterprise from India trying to dig out our natural resources for us and then afterwards disapperaing when they're finished with the looting of our natural resources and there is no government to complain too or no court to go too because the company you dealt with was a bogus one that gave you false information. If the lawyers approve of the deal then I'll say go ahead with full blessing otherwise waa in laga taxaadiraa!! Thank you folks for your concentration, keep the debate rolling....
  4. I would not condole any meet up between the people of SOL if it also includes female's. Certainly if there are some boys who have got the same kind of educational level and hobby's want to meet up iam up for it but please no girls. If the female's in these forum want to meet up with follow nomads then I would suggest to them to bring a male mahram along them because I believe that many in here have become to "westernised" and they do things without thinking and questioning what their religion actually say's about mix gender gatherings and meet up's which is totally unacceptable culture and religious wise. We have to question everything before indulge ourselves in activities that we don't know the implications off. Just think about it next time when you make an overdraft with your credit card because the implications could be that you could be charged with so and so %% of interest. Anyhow allways be on the alert and certainly I do not condole nor do I support a gathering or meet up which involves gender mixing and where the different sexes meet up it could also be a little bit a scary prospect for some of our sisters. But if it is a only boy/men thing if invited i will be there anywhere anytime so count on me to attent and asure you that i ain't no troublemaker. Waad mahadsantihiin for your concentration.
  5. In fact no-one has won we're all loosers and poor defeatists. If you can claim Tolstoy that the killing and maming of innocent civilians is a victory then all i can say is rejoice in your victory. But deep down I know for sure that we're all losers we've all lost. Somalia will never ever be the same. I'm happy for the victors. To hell with the loosers
  6. how laughable, Tolstoy I don't think that you even take yourself seriously what you've written. we're the poor defeatists, defeatists, defeatists defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists ,defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists ,defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, defeatists, You see it doesn't hurt us at all. Give the whole world a shout that we've been defeated. Long live the Victors!!!! Victory is sweat... We're the champions.... Loosers go to ....
  7. iam just amazed about these whole issue of the secessionists claiming that they want to break-away from the rest of Somalia. my question is who is hoding you fugitive walaalyaal? let's us for once speak the truth. the most amazing thing i want to know is from whom are you running away? is it certain individuals, groups or whole clans. you claim that you want to break-away becaue of the mistreatment you suffered in the hands of other Somalis, i can understand that you say that your cities have been bombed and countless civilians some say 50.000 innocent people lost their life but if it is the case then you can break-away sxbyaal. The only issue i've with you is that hargaysa and burco have been bombed and that laacaanood and ceerigaavo must also break-away with us. I can't recall in my memory that laascaanood and ceerigaavo have been bombed by the somali airforce and certainly i can't recall people from sool and sanaag (eastern part) have been mistreated so why should they in your opinion break-away with you. One more thing is that you Hargaysa, Burco and Berbera triangle had never ever had a common cause you strived and fought for together with the people of Sool, Sanaag and Souther Togdheer. I'm 100% positive that there is no single event that you joined forces in the whole history of our country. Can you name a war that you and the people of sool, sanaag and cayn had joined forces togther to achieve a common goal or ambition? Certainly I can't remember any. The people of Buuhoodle and Mudug share not only blood but also political and military alliances and the people of SSC share with us common ancestory and blood and surely they will never ever break-away with you. No harm was enflicted on them by any Somali government so they don't need the urge to runaway. You see I don't like peple who quit because they can't approach and deal with their fear properly. By the way the late Somali President Al-Marxuum Maxamed Siyaad Barre rahimullah did all sort of crimes to all sorts of tribes. In the late 70's it was the people of Puntland who he mistreated because he saw them as a threat. He didn't target certain Somali tribes because he didn't like them but it was part of his policy of "divide and rule". Therefore the people in the North-East decided to set up the first Somali guerilla unit after a failed coup to remove Maxamed Siaad. The jabhad has merged with another existing marxist jabjad in Aden to join forces in removing the late president and from that struggle other para military groups emerged in Ethiopia to combat and defeat the regime in Somalia. After that finally in the year of december 1990 the whole regime has collapsed and the different guerilla army's took control of their degaans so SSDF took control of the North-East and with the SPM they also took Kismayo and surroundin areas and the USP took control of Sool and Sanaag and Cayn and your the SNM took control of their triangle after that they announced that they have parted with the rest of Somalia. While the rest were fighting to become the new leaders in Somalia some parts in Somalia stayed stable notebly Garoowe-Bosaso coridor and also the Hargaysa-Berbera-Burco corridor although some fights took place in the mid 90's and late 90's. I was listening to some types where a guy in 2003 made a speech in Hargaysa where he told the masses that they have to be proud of their country and it's history he mentioned SNM which was founded in 1981/2 but it's fine with me, he also mentioned Michael Maryama which i thought to myself how can you be proud of him a guy who was born muslime but who susequently became a chrisitan this guy really deserves to be killed under islamic shaariicah law becaue he was born a muslim and changed his name and religion to become a chrisitan for the exchange of some worldly comforts he got from his new masters the british. My conclusion is that the people who are trying to divide Somalia are people with low-selfesteem who are running away from something which we don't know yet and from which they are really afraid off. You face your challenges but certainly you don't run away from them because you can't handle the reality and truth. That's my contribution to this issue folks, feel free to reply...
  8. Hey waryaada listen up bruv's these issue is really a serious one, Cadde is flying to the United Arab Emirates in a couple of hours time to meet up with some foreign companies although there are lot's of speculations regarding his trip it is widely rumoured that he will sign some sort of contract with an oil company's and other companys, we don't know yet if these companies are reliable and trustworthy yet but let's wait and see. However some reports even indicate that the President is also flying to India although some say it's for private matters relating to his health but Allaah knows best. But if there is any sort of deal then Cadde as he already outlined must tell the people of Puntland what he signed and the major and minor agreements that he made with these international company. Nevertheless the General is working really hard today he inspected Bendar Qaasim International Airport where there is a large-scale construction of the new terminals and runways is progressing very well. That's all I've to comment Boys. Keep your ideas, minds coming and let's discuss what is best for our part of the world and how we can develop it farther.

  10. It is not only for the Historical purposes that Eyl is renowned and famous for but also its vegetation, wildlife and plantation although Eyl is situated in the North-East of Somalia it has got everything they eye can wish for and a paradise for botanitists botanists. Potatoes and other vegetables also grow there. Some people even say that Eyl used to be part of what is called "the Eden paradise" thousand years ago when the Horn was linked with the south of Yemen and Omaan where the Eden Paradise is suposed to have been but only Allaah knows best. P.S. Eyl is also the first place in Somalia where a systematic Genocide took place where 300 people were thrown in the sea by the Darwishs of Sayid Maxamed Cabdulle Xassan but it's all good and I don't have any hard feelings for the people who commited it but it's all good as long as it's within us Somalis. I don't condole at all what happened and one more thing three hundred people were alot of people in the olden days 1901 etc.
  11. Horn wrote: a large equation of the pie was rewarded with skin-cutting techniques, What is these calaacal supposed to be and why do you bring such nonsense in hear. By the way whose "skin" was cut to pieces and who were the evil perpatrators. Are you saying that your people were victims of Cannibalism? another quote Kismaayo has transformed from even a year and half ago! It has become a new metropolis worthy of the name, and one that has investments staked with blood what evidence do you have to support these claims. Is it the daily killing, robbery and roadblocks that make Kismaayo worthy of the title metropolis. Alle maxay dad been isuku shekeneyaan. I believe that Kismaayo has gone from bad to worse atleast during the early and late ninty's there were a considerable amount of NGO's active and there was no kidnapping of ships and tree cutting so that it could be deported as charcoal to other countries. Also the wild life has also disintegrated and Kismaayo is a place full of militias whereas the vast majority of its inhabitans were forced out or killed whilst protecting their livlihoods.
  12. I'm just wondering if the Admin has gone on a new cafis program Well what makes you think that inadeer Hornafrique ... I've actually managed to cheat my way in through the back door without the admin knowing and noticing it hope it helps the  (confusion)
  13. Yes folks can you believe it how fast the year has passed we're now only 2 months away from the blessed month of Ramadan inshallah. It is a time of fasting, prayers(qiyaam) and dua and it is also time for the renowned most prestigous Quraan Award in the whole universe. What are our predictions for this year as we finished last year fourth and we've been also winners in the Year of 2000 with Abdulaziz Abdullah Adam who has made us so proud that year and the year before we also finished fourth. I hope that we can actually pull it off this year and win it inshallah but we've got stiff opostition (friendly ofcourse) with the likes of the libyans, egyptians and saudis but my question is does anyone know someone who will be taking part in the Quran Award to represent our beloved Somalia if you know someone who will be taking part let me know others who also want to contribute are also welcome to participate...
  14. I found the interview with the colonel very informative, amusing and explosive. One could argue that it was a little bit too provocative how the colonel addressed certain questions in the heat of the debate but nevertheless a good, solid performance by the colonel, well done. I also like the fact that he is quite outspoken aswell but he could do with a little bit of anger managment and diplomatic tactis which is for cowards but that's your Abdullahi Yusuf he does't do cowardice politics but rather he speaks from his heart combined with his mind.
  15. That's actually a good and valid point you made Aluminium here you go rudy there is another way of how we can ease our confusion...
  16. I second to what Haddad said most of "us" Somalis in the diaspora (with the exception of the intelligent people in the diaspora) haven't made adequate plans for returning home. Most of us came here (with the exception of me and other i ought to believe) came here for economcial reasons rather than being legitimate refugees. It is the mentality of refugees and economical-migrants to keep in their sub-counsiousness that they will be one day returning to their country of origin once they have made a few thousands but then circumstances upon circumstances actually hinder their original plans to stay abroad until they finish their education or make enough money that they forget to make plans for returning home which they truely believe that it will happen one day eventually but however it is not guranteed and after a while a second more westernised generation emerges who does not have any lingustical, cultural nor emotional links with the homeland that they are being reluctant to return home or to even think that they will be returning to their roots one day. Nevertheless I believe the most bulk of Somalis I've met have actually build houses and set up small to medium-large businesses and I've also seen many returning home after being in exile for up to a period ranging from 20-30years. On the other hand the political view of muslims and perception in the west is indeed very volatile and the current developments reminds me back to the early and late 30's which found its resemblance in a Anti-Jewish sponsored governmental agenda to make seem the Jewish race like a sub-human one which could be treated as one suits across Europe and indeed the silent majority of Jews were exterminated across Europe and we live in a dangerous climate like this ourselves and without making sense of it we could find ourselves in Guantanimo Bay style concentration camps for the European Muslims.
  17. Our brother rudy is confusing "Garoowe" city in the Nugaal with "Yiroowe" village near "Burco" town in Togdheer. I've sympathy for him because they are similiar words and people can actually get confused, which is the city and which is the village. But I've got a piece of advice which I noticed earlier which is to limit the confusion I've come up with my own way to deal with the confusion, that is "Garoowe" starts with a capital "G" letter followed with the letter "a", contrary "Yiroowe" begins with two vowel letters the first being a capital "Y" letter closely followed by the other vowel "i", it helped me a great deal in my confusion of the two locations concerned and I also sincerly hope that it will also ease your confusion.
