The real reason is South West clan is not a real clan but a combination of a few clans. That's why they don't have cohesion or have national plan. Lafta gareen is a puppet for farmaajo and was placed there by the cheese fellow his mother is also the same clan as that for the cheese guy. Besides the  South Western guys  don't have allot of self worth  politically and socially that they can be against anything they always go with the wind.  Allot of them are alshaab supporters  though.

Xaajiyoow what is stopping these clans from collaborating to be more effective and powerful instead of being taken for granted by whoever is in power?

As a secessoinist qabyaalad an ka xoroobin, mentally enslaved by qabyaalad and its small-midnessness, you will never see the point of shaqsinimo and aragti gaar without referring to qabiil qurunkiisa.

What do YOU to yourself to achieve than inaad ku gambatid someone's achievement under the guise of qabiil? That is what doonfaarada marfishka daaqo do.

I don't even claim the achievement of my own late father, who attained the highest office in the land in Soomaaliya. Why? Because I like my own achievement and I am my own man.

But ignorant fools marfishyada jaadka ku daaqo like to claim what others achieved in their miserable lives, iyagoo kaadi ku dhex jiro.

Waaryaa firstly stop throwing around the baseless accusations of qabyaalad and jaad in the hope of them sticking to me. Those accusations won't stick to me as there is probably more evidence here of you being more guilty of those "crimes" than I am.

Secondly, I haven't said anything about individual achievements or the lack of them of anyone be it you or your clansmen. We are not talking about persons here but rather entire communities. When it comes to individuals I am sure the men and women of Southwest including your great father are just as capable as everyone else. However, what is still a mystery to me is the collective political achievement of your fellow clansmen. Given the sheer number of MPs from Southwest, today Mogadishu should already be speaking (politically) what Oodweyne and Tillamook mischievously call Gudhuu. But unfortunately both you and I know that is not the case. So that was my question if you care to answer it.

Gudhuu gadhaa boy, actually the real reason Reer Thani have not bothered courting the leaders of the lands of Punt and Juba is because those two gentlemen, in particular have no skin in the game when it comes to the trouble brewing In Mogadishu. Hence their hasty meetings aimed to pacify the H- community first and then maybe make deals with the best H-political prospect that they suspect will replace Useless Farmaajo in a few months time. As for Biixi in the north, the Qataris went to buy his h@bro votes, not sure if Biixi actually settled for something substantial and tangible or just mere promises of future goodies. We will know for sure, soon enough!

In any case, I do not begrudge the forlorn Al Jazeera owners attempts to salvage their economic prospects and geopolitical interests in Somalia—I wouldn’t expect anything less from them, seeing how completely, Useless Farmaajo has shit himself these past few years and caused their name to be dragged in the mud.

So Mudane Gudhuu gadhaa, I have defended my D-block presidents of Puntland and Jubaland, and have shared my views of what I believe the Qataris want from the H politicians in Mogadishu and the I-politicians of the north. But for the life of me, I can’t make heads or tails about the goings on in Gudhuuland. Maybe you can fill us in? What is Gudhuu Gareen up to? Has he jumped ship yet or does he still find himself helpless and continues to suffer the odious and peculiar stranglehold of Useless Farmaajo?

Please enlighten us without resorting to your customary gudhuu gadhaa nonsense! 😁...Or on second thought, don’t bother!

I doubt if I have the appetite for gudhuu gadhaa claptrap these last few days of the holy month.👍

It is one of the things I cannot still understand. The Southwest guys have by far the largest number of seats in parliament which they can use to build or destroy regimes yet they seem to be for sale like a cheap merchandise just like the political caanalay from my region!! The financial ambitions of the northerners is understandable as Somaliland's constitution forced their hand, but what on earth is behind the powerlessness of MMA's folks? Couldn't they buy few landers and other business minded merchants to dethrone the duopoly?

You could say same about the Farmajo loyalists who kill and maim to see him in the helm. This ******** have just saved the country from illegal extension and one man's dictatorship for years to come. History will judge them kindly. Imagine if the SNA stopped Siyad Barre before he overthrew an elected government. Today we could have been in better shape than we are. But I am believer in destiny.

I know the Guulwades are angry but rest assured this is good for Somalia's future stability. No man will ever contemplate of illegal extension. One man one vote is only way a person can stay in power that needs to be written in blood. It is about time the disgruntled small clans must embrace that keeping power out from the bigger clans through dictatirship and fake nationalism does not work and will never work.

The Farmaajo devotees want to see the creation of a slave army which can be ordered to do the bidding of the failed dictator in Villa Somalia. They would love to see soldiers who when ordered to kill and maim their own people wouldn't think twice about doing so. In simple words, they want the recreation of a f@q@sh army. Thank God, not all the young Somali men in uniform are as gullible today as they were in our dark days of total tyranny.

    Yes!

But just because he failed and was defeated militarily does not mean we can discount the attempted dictatorship.
He is a dictator but without the power to kill, arrest and maim his opponents just yet.
we are against him getting to that stage in which he cannot be stopped, it is better he is stopped today.

That is why we call him a dictator.

Thanks, I couldn't have said it better.

These ignorant soldiers are being used as propaganda tools by Farmaajo. Why would any decent man serve the personal interests of a politician? It is one thing to defend a country against an external enemy but there is no honour in being a slave to a corrupt power hungry regime. I have more respect to those soldiers who left their ranks and joined the opposition.

Waraa Tallaabo, you are the guy who always mentions 'dulmigii' dowladdii Kacaanka is now advocating dulmiga against Soomaali citizens in Soomaaliya maanta. Yaab.

I don't think it is unreasonable for a government to remove foreign trouble makers from its jurisdiction to preserve its internal peace and security.

If one rainy season, water is captured, could be used for years.

Very unfortunate, most of these waters, don't even replenish underground  water but  end up all the way the ocean

Absolutely, the sheer volume of the water in these seasonal rivers can fill giant lakes in a matter of hours.

Talk about wasted water. We lack imagination and allowed ourselves to be led by cruel crooks. Djibouti is underwater as well. People were literally dying of thirst in Gedo, Bay, and Bakool. Go anywhere in the Somali peninsula, we are either dying of thirst or drowning in water.

True it wasn't long ago when we heard of biyo la'aan ba'an from Gedo to kililka to Sanaag.

Well Puntland has the right to control its borders and deport any alien they deem to be a threat to their national security although I believe Coldoon poses no danger.

Despite the smart phones and loss of the original Somali, there are still young Somali poets mesmerizing us with their talents.

With the large number of Somali elders dying these days it is becoming an urgent need to preserve our language, history, and oral culture in a digital form.

  12. Only a week ago, the Nigerians who can not secure even their school children from kidnapping came to Mogadishu to milk the AMISOM cash cow. So Xaaji you are right, the African mercenaries are going no where.

  13. Its good we have got some vaccines now but my serious concern is that due to negligence and lack of knowledge on our part, the vaccines might become spoiled and dangerous. We need to monitor the storage temperature and quality of the doses we get.

    Didn't Taiwan promise some vaccine?

It is not clear how they are doing the distribution.

Actually Taiwan is developing two of its own vaccines which are currently in phase 2 clinical trials. They are also building manufacturing facilities and aim to produce 20 million doses a month. The Taiwanese are highly driven by a desire to be independent from Beijing so should not be taken as a joke. Interestingly Cuba is also producing their own Covid-19 vaccines as they have a thriving biotech industry. They got to this point because of US sanctions and now export medicines to many countries around the world. Che I think we should develop a good relationship with Cuba and invite them to invest in our health care infrastructure. We badly need any assistance when it comes Healthcare.

If his commitment to united Somalia is genuine, I see him running the country one day. Having been born in Somaligalbeed, raised in Hargeisa and now in Mogadishu, he can be a unifying figure. Of course, 4.5 needs to go away in order to unleash the potential of many Somalis. H-D arrangements needs to end.

Waaryaa Che, this guy is more likely going to be pardoned by His excellency president Muuse Biixi to return to Somaliland.

Lol what has he done really kkkk? He just read a pre-written speech most likely by the Somali Cadaan lawyers. Given the opportunity anyone could have read that. Having said that, I believe he is more charismatic than his boss and could have a bright future in Somali politics. Soomaalidu waxay ku maahmaaahdaa: " Timirtii horeba dab loowaa". Qof wuxuu qabtay aan la arag oo la iska caashaqo Farmaajo aa tusaale noogu filan. We need to see substantive and quality work that we can pinpoint before we can naively fall for someone and choose them in the position of presidency.
