    What if...

     

     

    What if Allah couldn't take the time to bless us today because we

    couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday ?

     

    What if Allah decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we

    didn't follow Him today ?

     

    What if we never saw another flowe! r bloom because we grumbled when

    Allah sent the Rain ?

     

    What if Allah didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it

    as His day?

     

    What if Allah took away the Quran tomorrow because we would not read

    it today ?

     

    What if Allah took away His message because we failed to listen

    to the messenger ?

     

    What if the door of the Mosque was closed because we didn't open

    the door of our heart ?

     

    What if Allah stopped loving and caring for us because we failed

    to love and care for others ?

     

    What if Allah would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him?

     

    What if Allah answered our prayers the way we answer His calls ?

     

    What if Allah met our needs the way we give Him our lives ?

     

     

    these questions made me reflect on my life for a moment...may allah guide us all and bestow his blessing upon us... amiin

    As for me... B.P. was just a teenage phase i was going through...i grew out of it...which reminds me...i haven't been there for god knows how long~

    Just keep the realist of the real around u WIND TALKER..I mean those who’ve been there from day 1...through the thick and thin... lately it’s very exhausting having to search for LOYAL people..so be cautious of who u befriend!

     

    i guess the coin theory on friendship does apply. everyone has 2 sides.

    Somali Mustikoo is the Shidh in my eyes...better than any other nonsense yo yo crap! Khadar glad 2 see ur finally coming 2 ur senses and realising somali music is MORE than just dope beats...their lyrics have meaning wallahi..easy 2 relate to...although i don't understand what they say half the tyme..there's always someone willing to BREAK IT DOWN 4 me!

     

    other than my man Hassan A Samatar..i absolutely just adore *MANDEEQ* and *Abdinuur Salax Jazz*...i also got 2 give credit to the up coming artists...some are evolving pretty well..like **WALALAHA SWEDEN**...i just love their album ;)

    Just sharing this...I thought it was pretty intresting when i first read it..

     

    So many of us think this is the English translation of Masjid. I'm sure none of us ever wondered how this term came into being when it really had little in common with how it sounded compared to 'Masjid'. (We were very young when we were taught this English word. Our minds then were not critical & analytical, so didn't dare to ask/challenge our teachers, right?).

     

    Anyway this book pointed out that the term 'mosque' is derived From the Spanish word for "mosquito." It was termed as such because during the Crusades, King Ferdinand said they were going to go and swat the Muslims "like mosquitoes". (Where else can they find Muslims in large number to be swatted if not in a Masjid?).

     

    So, they cheekily termed "Masjid" as "Mosque".

     

    So, Dear Muslim sisters, refrain from using this term which is obviously a disgusting slap in the face to the Ummah. Educate our brothers and sisters to the history and etymology of this word. And let us replace it with the word which is MEANT to be used: Masjid! The Place of Prostration!! Not Mosque: the place to be swatted!

    p.s. if u think THAT'S scary...u should read Sheikh Mahmood H Rashid's Book titled 'ZERO HOUR'<--- i read that during ramadan 2 years ago..i remember having nightmares and i'd get up 2 pray and STAY UP TIL school the next morn..i looked like something out of a horror movie :D

    here's something i always read (from my handy book "fortification of the muslim through remembrance and supplication from the Qur'aan and the sunnah")

     

    the EXCELLENCE OF REMEMBRANCE

     

    Allah has said:

     

    'therefore remember Me, i will remember You and be grateful to Me, and REJECT NOT FAITH'

     

    'o you who believe! remember Allah with much remembrance'

     

    'and for men and women who engage much in Allah's remembrance, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward'

     

    'and bring your Lord to rememberance in your (very) soul, with humility and remember without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not of those who are unheedful'

     

    Our prophet (pbuh) said: the comparison of the one who remembers allah and the one who does not remember allah, is like that of the living and the dead'.
