Most likely, it was either a qabiil fight or Biggie vs. 2Pac argument. Did they catch it on video? :D

  5. If she did indeed kill herself, then may Allah SWT punish her with the punishment mentioned in the Qur'an and sunnah. If she was murdered, then may Allah SWT forgive her sins and grant her Jannah.

Sorry, but I can't ask forgiveness for someone who has died doing something haraam. Doesn't matter if it's a Somali medical student or a suicide bomber doing "jihad". Suicide is clearly wrong and warrants a severe punishment, so how can I ask forgiveness for someone who commits such an act? Don't become blind just because she is a seemingly "innocent" Somali woman.

  6. ^^ Yeah, it would definitely be tough for the first few years, but once they're in school, it's OK. Then you'll have twice the amount of help around the house. One of them can do the dishes, the other one can clean up the florr and do the vaccuuming, while you just sit there and watch!! :D:D

It sucked.....I look back now and I can't believe I wasted 10 years of my life in the middle of nowhere. Now that I'm used to the city, even Calgary is looking small, insha Allah I plan to move to Toronto in a few years.

  8. Born in Victoria, BC, Canada, and lived in military bases in Comox, BC, Cold Lake, Alberta, and Suffield, Alberta, and also lived in Brooks, Alberta, which is where I found Islam and married my wife. After that, the country life completely lost its appeal and I moved the family to Calgary, AB, which is where I have lived since 2003.

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to

    visit their old university lecturer.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the lecturer went to the kitchen and returned

with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic,

glass, some plain-looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them to

    help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the lecturer said "If you

noticed, all the nice-looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind

    the plain and cheap ones.

While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is

the source of your problems and stress.

What all of you really wanted was

coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the better cups and are

    eyeing each other's cups.

Now, if Life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the

cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life

    doesn't change.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in

    it."

So don't let the cups drive you ... enjoy the coffee instead.

So, let me get this straight....My life is nothing but coffee? And my job and money are nothing but cups? And I have been enjoying the cup more than the coffee? So how much cream and sugar is in there? Is it from Tim Hortons? Cuz I love Tim Hortons coffee. They also make a good tuna sandwich. Can my life be that instead of coffee? Cuz I like tuna sandwiches more than coffee, you know....
