Somaliland: Wadani Opposition Party Suspends Collaboration with NEC

Somaliland’s Opposition party has now announced that it has completely suspended the cooperation between the Wadani party and the Somaliland National Electoral Commission (NEC), for electoral frauds and other irregularities during the just ended November 13 presidential elections.

The official who spoke on behalf of opposition pary has said that all the National Electoral Commission failed to address the concerns raised by Wadani party.Mr. Osman Afgab has said that he will take the matter to Wadani’s senior officials for further discussions and a decision will be taken later. He pointed an accusatory finger to NEC members for neglecting their gripes to be addressed. The opposition party has pulled out all its representatives at NEC’s offices in provinces and districts.
