In recent weeks, the president has blasted the Somali population, stating “hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota.” During a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump went after Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), calling her “garbage.” He also said that he didn’t want Somali immigrants in the U.S. and that Somalia “stinks.” “I don’t want them in our country, I’ll be honest with you, OK,” the president said. “Somebody said that’s not politically correct.
