Amnesty: Somalia drought displaced thousands and revealed major rights failures

Mogadishu (HOL) — A four-year drought that emptied riverbeds, wiped out crops and killed entire herds across southern and central Somalia forced tens of thousands of families to flee their homes between 2020 and 2023, leading to hunger, disease and preventable deaths, Amnesty International said in a new report.
