The above committe is actually designed to execute Puntland state policies, programms and all other subjects, that have to do with the distinguished regions of Puntland, that need to be dealt with differently!

 

I like how they swapped cabinet minsters from Mudug to head the committe in Bari/Karkaar region and the committee of Mudug headed by a cabinet minster from Bari/Karkaar region! That should help to 'ease' any tension that could come up later but for now everything is safe and sound and let's hope inshallaah the calm will keep and that development takes centre-stage then war predictions!

The President of the Puntland State Nominates Regional Committees

The President of Puntland State of Somalia

Having Considered:

 The Constitution of the Puntland State.

 

Having Witnessed:

 

 The current political and security situation of Somalia.

 

Having Seen:

 

 Our obligation to implement the objectives of the Puntland State in relation to current political and security concerns, and to prevent emerging crisis from the other parts of Somalia.

 

Having Considered:

 

 The Counsel of Ministries’ decision on Nov 5, 2006, regarding defense measures, the empowerment of regional and local governments, and the enhancement of intergovernmental and public relations.

 

I Here by Nominate and appoint:

 

 Committees for all regions of the Puntland State. These committees will have authority to confront and engage the issues facing the State. All committees will work with and report to the President.
