Al-shabaab Releases Three Persons Kidnapped in Sanaag

Bosaso (PP News Desk) — Al-shabaab had released three person whom the proscribed group kidnapped eleven days ago. The group captured Milho, a village under the jurisdiction of Las Qorey district, after a surprise attack.

Talks between elders and Al-Shabaab reportedly facilitated the release of the three persons including Mohamed Jama Aar, a Puntland-appointed village chairman of Milho.

AL-shabaab introduced new rules against drugs and alcoholic drinks. The group told locals that anyone who was found guilty of violating the rules would be punished.

Al-shabaab forces maintain a strong presence at Al Madow mountain range.
