The Governor of Bari Chairs a Security Meeting

Bosaso (PP News ) — The Governor of Bari Abdisamad Yusuf Ahmed, who is also the chairman of the security committee, today chaired the weekly security meeting in Bosaso.

Attended by members of the security committee and the Deputy Minister of Energy and Minerals Ministry of Puntland State, the meeting was aimed to speed up the work of district commissioners and security agencies.

Committed: The regional security committee members will incorporate the five-point plan into district action plans.

Participants have delivered progress reports on security arrangements in individual districts and how to improve the collaboration between the district administration and security forces.

The first deputy Governor of Bari Ahmed Abdullahi Irro read out the following five points that will be incorporated into district action plans:

1- To beef up the regional security in order to fight anti-peace elements.
2- To Improve the collaboration among all organisations of the region
3- To put more efforts and resources into the fight against sexual crimes and drug-trafficking.
4-To robustly respond to the threat of locusts to farms in Bari.
5-To boost the morale of Puntland Defence Forces.

The Governor of Bari thanked participants for progress reports and commitment to bringing the five-point plan into fruition.
