Galmudug president appoints new ministers to complete his cabinet

Galmudug state president Ahmed Ali Kariye also known as [Qoorqoor] has appointed new officials to complete his new cabinet.

In a statement obtained by Shabelle Media Network, Qoorqoor appointed 11 state ministers and 25 deputies, the latest move for a long journey to shape an inclusive government.

Two lawmakers in the Somali federal parliament are among the new cabinet which is expected to be submitted to the parliament for approval in the coming days.

The international community has welcomed the formation of the new Galmudug government as a step forward following years of political chaos in the regional state.
