Nugal governor seriously wounded in suicide blast in Garowe

A suicide bomber blew himself up at Garowe police station on Sunday evening, wounding top regional officials.

Police and witnesses said a man wearing a suicide vest has detonated his explosives at a vehicle carrying Nugal governor Abdisalan Hassan Gu’jir and former regional police boss.

Both officials have been admitted to Garowe hospital where is currently being operated, according to the local security officials.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the suicide attack in Puntland capital.
