Somalia became an example of every bad thing, corruption, gender abuses, discrimination, radicalism and terrorism, and many others. However the Long-standing political conflicts between the Somali stakeholders holds back the country and make Somali society lose hope and confidence in a better future, approximately 5million Somalia‘s population fled the country to other neighboring countries and cross the sea seeking for a better life and future for their children and family, according to UNHRC Somalia have biggest refugee diaspora, despite that, there have been numerous efforts to restore peace and stability and to rebuild Somalia from the international community and other interested countries of better Somalia. Efforts to rebuild Somalia In 2004 after almost 14 years of active civil war, the first transitional federal government was formed in Kenya with the mandate to restore order, formulation of the federal constitution, reconciliation for Somali people, and fight against the terrorist groups control the most parties of the country, actually these tasks was not easy to work to do when you looked at the financial and military capacity of the government but government reaches milestone achievements despite great challenges faced, the government did its best to work hard to ensure the minimum expectations of the international community and Somali people are met with the specific period given to restore peace and order in Somalia. The key achievements reached was re-installing back dismantled government bodies with strategic objectives of building the national army, formulation of the provisional federal constitution, and creating enabling environment for greater social dialogue for civil reconciliation of all Somalia people who have been divided by the civil war. Deeply Understanding conflict in Somalia. Somalia’s political conflict is not about lacking a unity but is about lack reaching a political agreement, People may have different opinions regarding the protracted conflict in Somalia. You could hear or see people arguing who is right and who is wrong whenever conflict raises within the Somali stakeholders, immediately public is divided into two groups those who support the federal government’s position and those who bitterly oppose it mainly from federal states. it truly appears that the problem is much bigger and more serious than one single conflicting issue. There is lack of trust and unified political agreement among Somali stakeholders, Somalis agreed federal system but prior implementation of the federal system, the constitution which is the where the process begins is still under review, and some articles in the constitution is complicated to agree especially resource and power-sharing, while some foreign countries also aiding for the delays of final approval of the constitutionregarding on their interest, therefore unless the federal constitution is agreed there will often be a hasty politics in Somalia, in addition to that Somali stakeholders are unwilling to compromise for the sake of the suffering Somali people and this is also another big challenge which often triggers the political conflict in Somalia. However, if want to see better united Somalia once again needs a lot of work to be done not only from the side of international community but also within the Somalia stakeholders, Somalis should learn the culture of political compromise which is good for the people and country`s development. As well as restore the imperative cooperation among Somalia stakeholders to pave the way for final constitution approval and stop touching the wound while the healing process going, avoid hasty politics which is perilous for the country`s way forward, in other side develop unified cooperative security strategy to combat against terrorist groups which also threatening all the efforts to rebuild Somalia.
