^Whites kill more whites than any other race, what's your point? There is institutional racism deeply ingrained in this country that effects lives of millions daily. And don't even start with the "broken" criminal justice system that disproportionately incarcerates more minorities than whites.

Ayaan became the mouthpiece for the conservative Christian right wings groups and would say things the white men wouldn't say in Public.

Well my point is Mr. Geeljire, if we are going to pick on white officer shooting blacks, how about the thousands of whites who die on the hands of the blacks?

There is enough blame to go around. And as far as institutionalized racism goes, u dont have to look further than Somalia. How are minorities treated there? Isn't that ingrained in our minds to not marry Somali Bantus, Barawanis, Midgaans, and those other undesirables? Its just the way the world is sxb, it sucks, but thats how it works.

Majority always makes the rules (right or wrong) and minorities always get picked on.

^Dude you're justifying police brutality and their racism toward minorities. What have the young black kids in Walt-Mart and in the Park in Cleveland done wrong to be killed? When Police don't even give you the chance for you cooperate or worse treat you like a guilty person from the get go, there is nothing you could do to safe your life.

Sxb I am not justifying police brutality, all I am saying is sometimes people put themselves in a situation where the outcome is predictable.

Believe me, I've had really bad experience with cops just like everyone else.

Everytime I've had an encounter with the cops, it wasn't because they decided 'Oh look, a Somali, let's go harass him'. Its not like the cops just show up out of the blue and just hassle people for no reason.

What happened to the Walter Scott in S.C and Michael Brown in Ferguson is sad and reprehensible. But where is the personal responsibility?

What were those two doing before they got killed? Where they involved in anything they shouldn't have?

Again, I am not justifying the shooting death of those two. But just saying the outcome was to be expected.

Apparently Ayaan is not following the mass murder of black men and boys with impunity by racist white cops.

What mass murder? If the US was truly a racist country, we wouldn't have heard about this to begin with. The fact that it's the leading story in all the major news outlets should tell you otherwise.

African Americans kill each other far more than whites kill blacks. Infact, there is a reverse racism where blacks kill more whites than whites kill blacks. Look it up if u don't believe me.

  4. Well, this is how I look at it. If you aren't doing anything wrong or illegal, then u won't have to be afraid of a rogue cop shooting you at the back.

Most of these recent shootings involved someone who was doing something they shouldn't have and quickly escalated into that.

Not saying it's right, but don't put urself in a position where cops are called on you. And if that happens, be very cooperative and respectful.

It just might save ur life.

  5. Che no one is arguing that America doesn't have its problems with race and other issues, but it's still way better than most other countries when it comes to how it treats it's minorities and women.

It's not just her or us Somalis who are reaping the benefits of what African Americans had to go through, but every other race.

If it wasn't for African Americans paving the way (sometimes with their own lifes), most of us wouldn't be here.

  6. And he did get charged with capital murder and can face the death penalty if found guilty.

No need to shoot someone on the back when they are running away from you.

I believe she was tired about people talking and writing about Somali and their culture like we don't exist, this guy launched a journal without bothering consulting with the Somalis who are in the field, and when he was questioned about his omissions, he said that basically you don't have anyone who is good enough.

    Gotcha, thanks.

Well at least we got our Safferz on the case. :)

  8. Not trying to get involved in this, but I remember this Saalax person being staunch separatist 2yrs back. And he has now done a complete 180 degree turn.

Don't be the type of person who changes their view every time they don't get their way.

Principals matter in life sxb. And tomorrow if u get what u want, you'd get right back to ur Aflagaado. Somalis are Pirates, iyo Amisom, iyo waxaan loojoogin.
