  1. I am currently in Liberia... I will invistigate this issue and get back to you...
  2. yeah right emperor, who r u trying to fool? let me tell how i look like...gorgeous, period my views,,... i have pragmatic approach to issues my region.... mogadishu, born in hodan
  3. Somali eco is different person.. not sure about Duke and Emperor... both suffer from the cut & paste infection!! lol
  4. what united the south is its anti- seccession of the North West... why i wonder? .. Somalis r soo divided and i cant see us, digging ourselve out of this deep hole of suspicion, and hunger to dominate the other.. I am coming to the postion of calling for the break up of the current somalia is three parts.. Somaliland, Puntaland and the Southern Somalia... i am for unity, but unity cannot be forced on people who want nothing to do with each other!!! what do people think about that... three somalia...
  5. answer this- is coincidence, that emperor, Duke and Somalieco.. who think like. are also from the same region.. or mere manifestation of clannish mental slavery!! I wonder
  6. ..Wolf should not have been fired... I think he was doing a ok job, better that any bleeding heart white liberal... I think we need to look Wolf's tenure at the bank rather than judging him on his role in the Iraq fiasco- and on that note he did fine, under his leadership the bank cancelled debt to Nigeria, and many other poor countries... Promoting ur friends or lovers, or kin is a norm allover the world… he is not the first one to do it and wont be the last…this saga was just an excuse for largely ineffective world bank liberal staff, to push Wolf out… it was error of judgment on his side but not a firing offence far from it! Please do not merely join the bandwagon, make ur own analysis.. Plus its better to have a rightwing guy at the top rather than a wishy washy liberia, with crap like i understand and sympathy with ur pain! p.s with all his faults and debacles Bush has pumped more Aid TO Africa that any other American President
  7. Saddam, Suharto, Idi Amin, Omari Bongo, Gaddafi, etc have all been to cimra, that doesn’t make them holly!! am against assassinations but going to cimra is not indicator of good judegement, afterall cimra hasn’t made him less susceptible to traitorous behavior..!!!
  8. Jacay If you are confident of your position, and the result, then internationally held referendum should bother u, right? Although i am sympathetic of SL course, one cannot not declare a unilateral independence, this was a mistake, that no one will accept it, cos it creates a dangerous precedent.. A process has to be agreed with the two parties on the table ..
  9. When!! it would nice to fundraise and take some presents for the kids and the mothers..
  10. Stealth i am glad we see eye to eye on this.. once we have a credible govt in the south, then negotiations can start... and if the admin in SL is instant to break-up, then a referendum should be called in SL, Monitored by international community and the results respected…, ....
  11. Paragon Been there twice and am going again in december, wana join... ?
  12. Che and Northerner.. Couldnt agree more... the problem is not one of individual, but a mindset... Somalis have to stop this notion of wishing death on anybody u disagree with....
  13. Denialist Castro The closer the truth gets to a man in denial, the more insults he hails...the pics must have got under the skin, difficult to ignore i see.. i take it as a compliment... i rather wail, than call for more killings,.. if we all wailed a bit more we wont be in this situation my man Look at those kids again tell me they r doing fine…!!!
  14. Castro Do this kids look jolly good to u?
  15. CASTRO And uR think 24/7 politicking, WILL take us to promised... and calling for the death of Yeey, Gedi and Meles, is so progressive i see.. get ur priorities right my man... war and death solves nothing.. As a matter of fact, Somalia produces relatively the highest number of IDP and a refugee in Africa... The entire SOL is made of refugees or ex-refugees, please don’t lie to yourself… this denial thing is so frustrating and a formula to prolonged destitute life for our ppl… Visit the link below.. http://www.geography.wisc.edu/archiveNews/2006/images/africanRefugees.jpg ...
  16. Ok Zenobia..I accept you resignation..!! i done with defeatist that seem to reverberating in this thread... while u r at it u may as well unsubscribe from SOL Castro and Geel... i deduce from your posting that all is jolly and somalis in refugee camps r doing just fine with u r remittances.. well i reject that, when did u last visit one..?? i did and its a shame that we do nothing or at not enough, to help our people.. Muniraa I think you idea is fab lets fundraise… but its important we implement the projects we fundraise for, the reason being this will go a long way in building a sense of belonging and citizenry… However, I think the first hurdle to overcome is the denial and defeatist barrier.. Somalis have to face the reality that is staring straight at us… • we are poor, • our people are suffering from displacement, hunger, floods, drought and dying from curable diseases, • we are overwhelmingly illiterate • ETC We should accept this reality and think had what to do about it!! It’s a challenge of our generation; we should not shy away from it nor be embarrassed to the extent that we deny it… I am confident we have the capacity as people to overcome this and build a future that is bright, just and dignified for all of us… I don’t have answers or cure to all our ills but I have the commitment and will to overcome them with.. join me in generating momentum and passion, for this goal… lets liberate ourselves from the slavery clannish politicking to a higher goal of emancipation from poverty and a prosperous Somalia at peace Utopian dreamer maybe… but remember, the world was never built by cynics..
  17. Ngonge.. I am happy we have few ppl like u in this world..otherwise we will still be swinging from trees.. every idea starts as a dream... i know where u stand on this issue, thanks for your contribution...
  18. Baashi thanks for u r thoughtful reply.. but i again.. i belive much more can be done.. see buidling a well only to be destroyed by some warlord or clan facists is problematic... anyway, i think we need to form a diaspora self help.. that supports our refugees espcially women and the elders.. many young women are now being forced in to prostitution in Kenya cos they have no other means for survival!
  19. Somaliland has achived what we in the south can only dream of in the last 16years.. the ppl of Somaliland should be commended for that. I would have wished, to see the ppl of Somaliland, contribute in bring peace in the South.. Currently I think its premature and less urgent to discuss the future status of Somaliland.. We the people of the south have see how we can, get remove the leaches of the TFG, and the backward clan fascists and warlords that continue to hold us hostage ... My postion has always being if the majority of the ppl of Somaliland want independence so be it.. i would continue to love them as brothers and sisters as i do Kenyan and Ethiopian Somalis
  20. I can see the denial process is full gear Ngonge… its not a weeping session but call to action.. rather than sitting ur ***, I think it’s time u look at urself and ask what I have done for my people and my country.. Baashi.. I am not convinced enough is being done!! I was in Kenya recently and the state of Somali makes me sick. Dadaab in northern Kenya is exclusively Somali so is the one in Yemen… Finally helping ur kin is one thing but helping ur country and all its people is different, and that is what we should aspire to!...
  21. Dhuc Seeing is the start... the hope is from then on wards a movment for self help will start... this is a first step... of somalis looking at themselves at the mirrors... plus having a family is different than living there saxib... i have seen it myself is embarassing,,, and a shame to us all
  22. If there is any race that is synonymous, refugeedom is us, we have single handily created jobs for ten of thousands of UN and NGO staff … We have soaked the earth with blood, and tears. We have destroyed our already poor infrastructure.. The world laughs, and pities us,… but we seem to have no an ounce of shame… Our father generation have failed us!!! But I don’t understand why Dispora determined are, to keep us in the abyss… why are we adamant to learn nothing from our catastrophe!!! The Diaspora failure, may lay in their comfort. We don’t to live in dusty, dehumanising, rat infected, hellish refugee camps in Yemen or Kenya… this means we can continue to intellectualise hate in our comfortable houses in the West.. I want to suggest that SOL arranges a mission to Dabaab refugee camp in Northern Kenya, or Yemen for SOL member to see with their own eyes what we have done to ourselves, its one thing reading about it, another seeing how Somali leadership and their cheerleaders (us), have destroyed soul of the people and reduced them to a short and brutish life.…. I will volunteer to make the necessary arrangement and TOR for the Mission… Each participant will be required to pay, for their ticket and substance… I await you feedback
  23. Duke and S..Eco I think Duke u completely missed my question,, i can only assume it was deliberate... or possibly ur caught-up in his own rhetoric to the extent u answers to questions before u have even read them..... i don’t remember asking you about or defending kiosks!!! S Eco I have never seen a genuine reconciliation built on a platform appeasement, of killers... Can you imagine asking the people to Bosnia to allow, Miladic to be their minister or mayor? Can you see a scenario where Charles Taylor is awarded for his mayhem by a sit on a cabinet? CAN YOU see Gen Bugosora (Rwanda ex general and leader of the genocide) to be welcomed as a saviour of the very nation he pledged? I can think you get my drift!! Somalia needs reconciliation but not at the expense of Justice. Justice has to be at the heart of that process.. We cannot and should not let impunity regardless you committed it reign.. if you do that, then it will be repeated!! Without Justice the very process of reconciliation will be hindered... E.g how can you expected Somalilanders to reconcile with us in the South by making Morgan an adviser to the President.???? .. How can u reconcile between the Southern groups by bombing Mogadishu with Ethiopian gunships? What confidence will u give Somali minorities by appointing their killers and rapists as head of Police or governors??? There is no short-cut to sustainable peace… Peace comes with Justice… No Justice no Sustainable Peace!! You have not only pursue Justice rigorously but you have to be seen do be doing so… My dear brother think hard and tell me if this thing called TFG is anything more than the ASSOCIATION of rapist, killers, opportunists, collaborators, traitors, genocides and finally the destroyers of a nation... I Strongly urge all of us... to disassociate ourselves from this charade of a government and its thugerous bunch..who should be in JAIL and not lead us in the 21st century.. we need to cleanse ourselves from this cancer of supporting your Kinsmen regardless… We are the new generation that can either follow and imitate the FAILED generation of fathers or Build a Just, and fair society that proud and dynamic… Duke and S Eco join me in this journey!
  24. T..Thanks for the correction ... isnt the silence deafing... DUKE and Somalieco... COME on defend your stand!!! !!! I really dont want to conclude with the obvious.., surely u can come up with something?
