    Jamac Ali Jamac wanted to break away from ethios and set puntland on course thru national reconciliation process with somalis. Alot more honorable. Yey ended terribly his reign and lost all respect in bari. Ur not viewed as fighters anymore because if u wanna tiff 1 on 1 lets do it no foreign support, the old-fashioned way. But ur yey couldn't do that he had to go and get foreign support to back him up against a group who didnt use foreign support. what justification can u give for that?

    Thankfulisp, Abdullahi had his good sides and bad sides. Abdullahi use of ethiopian soldiers in 2002 was totally uncalled for and no ppl in bari, karkaar do not support that. So i don't know which part of puntland u went to.

     

    Secondly, your argument is that u must meet everyone. Well boqor muse has many news articles about him, essays in the pdrc, and other materials that i read. Does that mean I don't know?

     

    Lastly but not the least, Don't overplay Abdullahi he was one hit wonder and that's it. He became leader because it was war time and he was the most effective general. In peace-time he stands no chance as u can see he has just left.

     

    Peace-time 1 region will dominate and it's bari and karkaar who have produced not just 1 hit wonders but constant leadership from boqor osman down to keenadiid to sharmarke.co jamac ali jamac, cade muse, and inshallah me down the track some time.

    Sherban I wouldn't say sharif is exactly popular, seriously bro the guy can't even go to afgoye and duke has a point on that.

     

    However i do agree with you that I personally don't care who the individual is that is in the villa as long as they stick to the constitution and not break it.

     

    We can't have 1 clan be president forever or somaliya will just collapse, we need to share it and that means allowing others to rule. Duke doesn't see the destructiveness of his argument. Maybe duke is just angry the way abdullahi was treated by hamar and all the protests which is unfair considering sharif is doing exactly the same thing abdullahi did. So really the ppl didn't hate abdullahi policy because if they did then they would hate sharifs policy also.

     

    So really the case is simple. They hate yet cuz he was different clan, they now have no problem with sharif even though he is using yey's policies. I think duke just wants mogadishu society to be honest rather then use false pretenses which is understandable.

    My policy is quite simple. I don't care who the president is, the president chair is musical chair with different clowns on there. What i do care about is the constitution and that each leader abides by it. When they don't then we got an issue.

     

    To many ppl are backwards and think power in democracy is thru president, because they still think in the old ways of centralism. Power in federal democracy is in the states sxb. And the states are represented in the parliament.

     

    The day i will get worried is the day the federal parliament start bribing each other to pass destructive bills. That is when u start worrying because sxb that is where all the power is in democracy.

     

    My clan are adjusting to this new way of governance and getting head-start jamac ali jamac is in there busting his backside out making sure to set us up for life before the rush-hour of other somalis start doing the same thing. Right now however they are to busy focussed on president seat so it's kind of good it keeps off.

    Thankfulisp, no i haven't met him but i seen the work he conducts. I haven't met nelson mandela but i seen the work he has done and he is nice man also. Accordin to your logic u must meet all ppl to know if their nice. Did you meet prophet muhammad, jesus, moses, etc? have u met hawo tako, martin luther king, etc? how you know those ppl are nice after-all you must meet them!!! sxb your argument can be shred up, chewed, and spat out.

    I mean c'mon guys if you want to be fair and want to condemn all foreigners i am with you and all puntland is with you, but you must condemn the other foreigners who support shabab or sharif. You can't condemn ethiopia who is not even in somalia today, and at the same time have no issue with eritrea giving guns to somalis to kill each other or amisom patrolling mogadishu streets. Once u start doing that then puntland knows your clan-based and are not serious and need to be discarded and exposed.

     

    Ps: Guys ethio would never have of entered somaliya if shabab boys didn't involve their foreigners and eritrean guns into it. They started it noone else did, how dare they go and get foreigners shabab and expect the tfg to sit there and be defeated? hell no the tfg has to do what it has to do and change its strategy to the strategy shabab has taken or lose the war. The tfg had to adapt to the battle ground or be over-run.

     

    So condemn shabab first before you condemn ethiopia or your not serious about your hate for foreigners but have a hidden agenda. :cool:

    Bilal, aideed had some good ideas when in that book however he still focussed on centralism, which is totally ignoring thousands of years of somali history which their was never a centralized system but autonomous fiefdoms. These autonomous fiefdoms were called "sultanates"

     

    We need to embrace this and not fight it or ignore it, we need to go back to our roots and embrace what our ancestors were doing for thousands of years and it effectively worked. This can be established through federalism and it works quite well for somaliya situation.

     

    Federalism is really the best policy I believe, it creates internal competition between states and a stronger federal government through that internal competition. It eliminates fear and suspicion because your state will be controlled by your ppl. This was one of the disasters that rocked somalia, we were thrown to foreign system of centralism where leadership of our clans were given to 1 man and we didn't trust him because he wasn't from any of our clans, we thought immediately he is working against our interests.

     

    These sorts of suspicions are eliminated once you give the ppl back their land, their rulership and let their clan handle their affairs, after-all they trust their clan more then anyone else. So why fight it? EMBRACE IT. our fathers embraced it for mellenia and it worked quite fine for them, why can't it work today? we need to stop looking at foreign things as our solution to everything and start lookin at traditional things that worked and was proven and tested for thousands of years.

     

    Some ppl just shock me wallahi, u see a perfect system your fathers lived by yet u ignore that for failed systems that are foreign to you.

    So seeing that we hate ethiopian xabashis for interfering in somalia, can we start boycotting eritrea for fuelling the war in somalia by sending shipments of weapons to shabab to kill somalis?

     

    Lets boycott eritrea and hate ALL xabashis equally, not hate 1 xabashi and embrace another xabashi in asmara.

     

     

    PS: that is if your serious about your hate towards xabashis!!! however my instincts tells me otherwise :D

    By the way duke, the king is nice guy actually who really is about helping somalis embrace traditional methods of problem resolutions, educating youth about their culture, he even recently opened up puntland clan elder lobby where all 7 regions have their highest isimo in there.

     

    He is really not a bad person at all, but these ppl attacking him are attacking for 1 thing and u know it and i know it. and its because he aint from their region.

    Duke, my tone of voice? when you'd expect congratulations from somalis and paying homage to their king, they attack and insult him. What do they think, do they think he just invited himself to the african union? Of course not. He was selected to attend as the king of kings of somaliya and africa.

     

    This is why they need to be straightened out sxb with some real rough under-tone. At the end of the day no matter how much their sheegato boqor is respected in somaliya noone in the world cares to invite them to attend special gatherings with other royalty. This must tell you something? This tells you they are not important for other kings to even consider sending other clan-elders an invitation but only boqor abdullahi gets it.

    Africaown, who said i am worried? your so-mafi-land is disturbing the peace and not participating in finding peace in the region, even the house committee judge ruled this to be true.

     

    Your somafiland must play by the rules, noone is an exception to the rule. The territorial integrity of somaliya will remain and never change.     Anwar and if you understand puntland politics you wouldn't blame cade muse for las canood. Cade muse was overstretched because a great section of puntland security was down south with abdullahi yusuf in hamar.

     

    So all in all cade muse was left with half-weakened army to be honest and had to work with whatever he had, no matter who the leader of puntland was with the overstretched resources in hamar would suffer the same fate as cade did.

     

    But if u want to get an idea of anything bro you need to look at the details.

    Duke, it's amazing how jealous they are and frustrated at the fact that puntland is respected state by the world, where-as nowhere else in somaliya is even given the time of day. Look at hargeisa 17 years and been totally ignored by the world like they don't even exist. Now that is insulting if u ask me!!!

     

     

    Puntland firstly is recognized by the world. Why? because the tfg is recognized and under the tfg constitution puntland is seen as a legal state. So first bonus point in puntland favor is that they are EXISTING STATE.

     

    Now Puntland could've of just said i am separating from somaliya and get ppl's attention that way, but it didn't. It went thru the mature process of doing their government system legally. This needs to be commended. Where-as sland went about their politics illegally. For goodness sakes what sort of group of ppl would base their whole politics around 1902 policies when we are living in 2009? Totally out-dated and Un-neccesary.

     

    Second Point in puntland favor. Puntland has been participating in peace-talks and finding a solution in somaliya just like djibouti, ethiopia, yemen and every other responsible region has been. This affirms to the world that puntland is a peace-maker state.

     

    Third point in puntland favor. Farole re-engagement with the international community policy has really helped puntland. The washington score, the e.u score and now nato score. Not to mention the navy of somaliya score. This will firmly plant puntland navy being untouchable. It will have $250 million invested in their coastguard alone.

     

    Fourth Point in puntland favor. It is heading towards a democratic state with multi-party system. Today farole has reformed the government in many ways from local level all the way up to state level. He is paving in the way for excellent governance and institution building.

     

    Fifth Point in Puntland favor. Puntland has spent troops and $$$ in hamar in order to help find a long-term solution with the current deadlock in the capital. They could've of just turned a blind-eye to it if they wanted to, but they didn't because all somalis regardless of where they are our people. For example. Say you have 3 brothers. One brother named garowe, another brother named hamar, and another brother named hargeisa. Say for example if hamar fell down. Isn't it upon garowe and hargeisa to say "I will help u get up" of course it is!!! this is not only an islamic practise but a common sense practise. Hargeisa turned away and said to brother hamar "my recognition is more important to me then you suffering and not only that but He wants brother hamar to suffer more". Where-as Brother garowe has said "no i will help and lift u up, it might not be an easy process, but we will make it in the long run".

     

    Now who is the better brother? Washington house meeting clearly decided which was. And they blasted hargeisa and promised to isolate them further, whilst rewarding garowe and congratulating them on their nationalist peace loving pride.

     

    Sherbel wake up bro, Puntland is the only muslim state left in somalia. Hargeisa is not muslim state for goodness sakes, they make ppl like edna adan a foreign minister. What sort of islamic law says to reward apostates with foreign minister roles? What sort of shariah says to have kuffars live among you in peace like edna adan is living among your ppl without anyone applying the quranic law on her?

     

    U might turn around and bring up ayan hersi, but bro ayan hersi can not step in puntland let alone get a foreign minister role. She will be killed on site by judges of islamic law, that is why she had to run away. But edna adan never had to run away from hargeisa they praise her for her christian roots. Does that not bother u? maybe u need to ask an imam what the shariah says about supporting christians. Let me show you what it says in the quran.

    Shabab are even worse who slaughter innocent muslim blood which has definitely taken them out of the fold of islam. So what place is left in somaliya that is muslim state? It is Puntland sxb.

     

    In Puntland gaalo are not given foreign minister roles. Not only that apostates can not live in puntland, it's against the constitution for anyone to change his religion.

     

    Same goes for wafa sultan, salman rushdie, and all other apostates. Those ppl live in the west today because they can not live in their original countries because the shariah will be applied on them. This is what makes a muslim state enforcing the shariah. Hargeisa has failed to do that with edna adan, michael mariano and countless others. Infact edna and michael were influential politicians in hargeisa and actually ruled the ppl.

    Anwar, aideed plan was to be president of somalia. He wanted to have ali mahdi as his prime minister and a usc government. That was his goal.

    Anwar to make matters worse, edna adan lives in safety as christian among the hargeisa ppl. Noone blinks an eye-lid or even considers the shariah law.

     

    That is sad. that place can be called not muslim because they refuse to enforce the law of islam for the simple reason of tribal affiliation.

     

    Where-as Puntland will enforce the law on anyone who leaves islam, that is why ayan hersi can not live in puntland today. Which is the proper islamic way of doing things.
