Interesting. He resembles his father very much, doesn't he? This is the first I've heard of this party, so can't comment. But I'll say this: Every man leaves a legacy and that legacy colours the perception of his offsprings and/or descendants.
All those warlords and gacankudhiigyaal have left a horrible legacy for their children.

Somalis themselves are the agents of development. All they really need is peace and they can develop their cities and regions in very little time. The majority of the progress in the Northern and Eastern regions was led by the population. Same with the more calm areas of the Southern regions. I have very little doubt that should absolute peace and law & order be achieved, Somalia will level off with its neighbours within a decade and leave them in the dust within two decades. The future is very bright for Somalia, if only we would leave each other alone and work together. I absolutely believe that.

It does sound like in NG la duufsaday. I have never seen him calling people liars before.
A_Khadar, I think NG wants you to acknowledge that the 'ciidamada qaranka' that are/were attacking Buuhoodle may have contained men from the Sool region, just as LA was held for SL by men from LA. This is a fairly easy thing to acknowledge as a possibility since there are still some Soolers in the employ of SL. Beyond this though, magaranayo wuxuu kaa rabo. Unless he is implying that the whole 'ciidamada qaranka' are made up of the Khaatumo clan, which will beg the question: does Siilaanyo trust his neighbours enough to fill his army with them? LoL.

They were trying to snatch Khaliif Galaydh from Sool-Joogto? LooooL.
Oh man. Sad times walaahi.

Blue, you know our faaraxs. Not interested to them means try harder. You've got to admire their persistence. Cilmi Boodheri set a bad precedent!
Juxa, I always have an unworn dirac somewhere in the wardrobe, if needed that is.

Such optimism, Che!

Wouldn't term it a massacre either. But the recent violence seems to indicate one thing: matters will get a lot worse before they get better.
I just wonder, is either population prepared for what's to come?
-
Oh yeah? And what statistics are you basing this 'rise' on?
-
Nicely written.

Hmm...Carafaat needs lessons in this dept it seems.

Sad but revealing thread. Does anyone really believe people can be forced to secede, hadeyna rabin? SL has a very strange view of itself - both victim and aggressor at the same time. Not sure how it reconciles wanting to secede because of past crimes with commiting present crimes against others in order to achieve this goal. Kinda difficult to overlook this reeking hypocrisy.
Somali iyo gardarro, ey? The only thing going for the north was peace, kaana imika waa lagu ciyaarey. Sure as anything, we'll see what this attack achieves for SL once the dust settles, I'A.

It has problems, not least the Bull-in-China-shop currently holding the reigns, but hardly crumbling. Even if we contract Puntland to Garoowe, Bosaaso & Galkacyo, it is still the best functioning state in Somalia.

Sheeko. Haye, are we talking about actual certificates mise the fake titles everyone seems to brandish these days?
A D-grade is a fail, ma ogtahay?

I think it was rude to boo him, after all fikradiisa uun buu dhiibtay. But it sounds like shacabku have had enough of the 'cuqaal-agents' and I can't really blame them.

No dear, it's not me, Abtigiis just used me as a Soler from those regions (guessing it was a toss up between Malika, Aaliyah and moi). Did you find the video then? Would love to hear her speech.

Nice to see you posting, Adam.

Urm...I quit for a year but now am back to a litre of Pepsi a day. Arg!

LoL @LST, don't add to it. A&T ayaa god ii qoday already. Bal arag, even Nin Yaaban baa sii yaabay.
PS: No, NY, I have no involvement in Somali politics other than occasionally posting in this section.

Val baa iska ba'day. Damn you, Abtigiis.
I haven't seen the video you are referring to. Is the lady in question by any chance the same lady at the forefront of some of the Taleex photos? Trendy-attired, tall, curvy and light-skinned? If so, she is indeed a beauty, Masha'Allah. She got my attention by appealing for more involvement for haweenka.

Was wondering about the tree as well, is it really that old, Khadar? Pretty awesome.
Just watched the dhalinyaro video from a couple of days ago. Really impressed by the Taleex youth group - thought the answers were brilliant (dhibaatadu waa: talo xumo, solutionka has to be: wada tasho), completely agree.
-
Happy New Year, Khadar. Ilaahay 2012 ha inooga wada dhigo sanad khayr qaba.
PS: Yes, this traditional formula certainly beats utilising hotels and conference centres in foreign lands.
-
All eyes on Taleex. I think just getting all those people under the same tree on home soil is an achievement. Insha'Allah khayr

It's because carruurta lama karbaasho anymore. Karbaash teaches good manners. Even at the age of 60, public rudeness should be dealt with shaabuug.

Can't believe it took 19 years.
why educated Somalis leave their communities?
