  1. That looks good, they should have turned it into a physical board-game like monopoly, one which you can put on the empty dinner table and start playing with the family.

He likes you, I don't care, why he sees me as a threat, I don't know. However, his point on me seeing things from afar was insulting, when I and friends of mine had several close calls with these thugs who "search and steal/rape". Its not a laughing matter. The strong presence of police has definitely turned things for the better here.
  3. BTW, Nuune, Shax would make a great modern game if it was properly refashioned as a board-game. Do you know of any books, or articles that has all the rules of the game?
  4. Safferz;945446 wrote: You brought up the fact that people of colour make up a large proportion of the prison population to justify why they should be profiled on the street by police, and I qualified that by pointing out what you're advocating here - the presupposition of criminality purely on the basis of a person's blackness - is precisely why large numbers of black men are incarcerated. I encourage you to pick up the book I linked to about the US justice system and mass incarceration for a fuller picture, but in short if you are a black person you are more likely to be a victim of police harassment and brutality, more likely to face charges for what young white men get a slap on the wrist or warning for, more likely to be convicted for the same crime as a white person, more likely to receive a harsher and longer sentence than a white person, and more likely to face the death penalty for the same crimes as a white person. I'm just not sure how you don't see the implications of stop and frisk within this wider context of race, policing and incarceration. Truthfully, my 15 minutes of interest in this subject has expired. Let me exit amicably now, before some of the resident Somali Knights challenge me for a duel that I will surely lose. Puppy love is deadly.

Similar to the man depicted in the painting, you strike me as a man who stands upon a mountain, elevated if you will, which explains your utopian outlook. Your position from the mountain allows you to view life from afar, distanced. Close enough to see the beauty of a cougars face but far enough to not notice the wrinkles. Most importantly what elevates you to this mountain is your egocentrism exempli gratia "those thugs vs little old respectful me". iska xishod ninyahow. humble yourself. I get it sxb, you feel threatened by my presence, like a beta-male would to an Alpha, You like Safferz in a certain way, and I get that too, hence the futile attempt at a character assassination, but the reference to me being on a distant mountain is quite ironic, and non-applicable. I wanted to character-assassinate you in return, but I really don't know you as a member, never truly read your posts, nor felt the need.
  6. Nuune, its better to start with a MORPG, rather than the one with the extra 'M' at the beginning. It would be much more affordable, and you would only need two programmers, a few artists, a network-manager, a VPS. With this you would eventually have a product in place, that actually exists, and which one can use to pitch for financial backing. Such a venture would cost roughly; $10 thousand, while according to a Game designer I know, a proper MMORPG will set you back hundreds of thousands.
  7. Safferz;945424 wrote: And I suppose you think people of colour making up huge percentages of the prison population is just because they commit more crimes? lol c'mon now, you're not thinking here. Its a current reality, how they got there, and how society failed them in education, and economy is irrelevant to fact that as of now "they do make up a disproportionate percentage". Police-officers act in real-time, they don't have the luxury of perusing historic crimes and contemplate what their style of policing might have been or predict future environments and the appropriate police measures that come with it.

  9. Safferz;945407 wrote: It's disappointing to see how little you seem to understand or care. This is not some racial profiling after a 1 in a million terrorist attack, this is stop & frisks on communities that make up a huge percentage of the prison population. Somali, Indian, Nigerian and Polish men make up a large number of detainees in London, if a cop were to stop me while dressed in a hoodie (never), I would perfectly understand. While you feel sorry for grown men that were slapped on the wrists, you forget the elderly, women, children and other men, who are plagued by thugs and 'wannabes' in their neighbourhoods. These stops and frisks induce a healthy dose of fear for the law.
  10. Please, the vast majority of search and frisks are two minute procedures, with the individual back on his way. Hardly Mandela.
  11. That's a pretty sweet building, Alphy, though small, but go for it. (You need to landscape it though, some greenery and flower pots wouldn't hurt.)
  12. Dead serious, I'm even thinking of being a PCSO for a year and run after these saqajaans. I would wait in front of their houses each morning and do a search and frisk.
  13. I think police should have stopped and searched them several times after that, no objectivity here. Hundreds of times police has passed me by on the street, drove past me on the road, patrolled my uni, sat next to me on the bus, played football with them, and never have they felt the need to search me, because I accord them a certain respect. These young men your referencing 100% sure eyed-balled the police, acted cool in front of mates, or simply did look suspicious. An officer will simply do a quick search, and be done with it, but once you start this "I have my rights" game, then you're in for a ride. These guys are finding 800 guns a year in NYC, and that is 800+ potential fatalities and injuries prevented. When you consider that the national death figure by way of a gun is 11000, then it puts thing into perspective. I wish British Cops did the same, they would find thousands of weapons.
  14. Just tired of having to play bodyguard for my female relatives and their kids who just want to play in the park or shop in peace without these weed clowns stinking up the place. I'm extremely biased, so don't expect objectivity from me, I have no sympathy for them, be they Somali or non-Somali. Thugs are despicable creatures. These are nice neighbourhoods and areas being ruined by groups that dress like the men in that video. I think more patrols around those areas would be a great deterrent.
  15. We need more of them doing stops and searches at the parks and malls.
  16. ^The Others are an enigma, but they do push the story forward, and eventually we will reach a point where they have crossed the Wall......

  18. I would think adventure is the right platform for an MMO, could be historic, or a fantasy setting. I also think the other games you mentioned with proper instructions could be very popular amongst both the old and young. You just attach a link to your tv and you could play old school games with your relatives. The game I am thinking about probably would take more than a year to construct, but I'm wondering about the start-up costs. Once you have the platform in place as a viable product, then generating maintenance revenue through ads is a lot easier. Its always the first step that is hazardous and demoralizing. Good points BTW.

If you notice it, fire is the only thing that can kill the White Walkers and dragons breath nothing but fire. Clearly someone has never read the books. How wrong you are my friend. I'll say two things: (1) Its very easy to lose control over Dragons and (2) R'hllor.
  20. Che is always ready to assist a damsel in distress with an alibi and a new identity. Waan ku gartey sxb, wa caadi.
