    Iran:
        - On its own, Iran has shown it is more capable than anticipated by the West,
            - Has not shown its full hand yet,
        - Has greater weapons than it had used in the conflict,
        - Can quietly fight for months without needing external support,

    Strength:
        - Iran has missile technology very few nations have,
        - Its drone technology is advanced,

    Weakness:
        - Iran is weakest in the air, and its air defences had been compromised,
        - Its human intel and covert operations are the weakest.

    !srael:

!srael has been shown to be no more than a paper tiger no match for Iran in an actual war,
            - Can fight no more than a week without the US, and Western allies supplying it with weapons and intel,
        - Can fight in the air, and could barely defeat Hamas or Hizba Allah on the ground on its own,
        - Tel Abib & Ha'ifa had sustained considerable damages with some neighbourhoods looking more like Gaza,
        - Is hiding its human loss estimated above 300 +/- by independent sources,
        - Its covert operations, spying tactics, and human intel are superior, and managed to launch attacks from inside Iran.

    Winners:
    - China, Iran, Hamas.

    Losers:
    - !srael, with the veil lifted, its vulnerabilities had been exposed, and is no longer the super sub-station / military outpost the West intended it to be,
    - The Muslim world except Pakistan & UAE, the only nations to have openly supported Iran. Sheep all round where one nation is taken out at a time whilst the rest stand on the sidelines watching.
    - The ever so gullible US tax payer.

  3. Reer Badhan Militia Defects to Somaliland, Joins Army with Over 100 Soldiers and Dozen Military Vehicles

In a significant development in Eastern Sanaag, a militia group from Reer Badhan has officially defected to the Somaliland government, pledging allegiance and integrating into the national army. The group, consisting of over 100 armed fighters and accompanied by more than a dozen military vehicles, was warmly received by Somaliland military officials in the region.

This defection marks a notable shift in local dynamics, as Reer Badhan holds strategic and symbolic importance in the Sanaag region. The move is seen as a boost to Somaliland's security presence in the east, further consolidating its influence in contested territories.

“I believe that a serious conversation about U.S. recognition of Somaliland is both necessary to advance clarity about America’s national security interests, and is long overdue. A stable, long-term, and clearly defined partnership between the #U.S. and #Somaliland would be mutually beneficial,Somaliland would be a strong economic partner committed to integrating into the American global security system, which is critical to the safety and prosperity of Americans” - Senator

  6. Its heartbreaking story  happened 2 days ago  the supposed qalas they used to brag about  They are ravaging the lives and innocence of young girls. who were mere teen agers, two sister one is badly wounded after they raped her  they stabbed her. The unfortunate reality is that they are unlikely to ever be held accountable and will, in all probability, regain their freedom in a remarkably short span of time.  24 men raped these  girls  There are videos currently circulating on Telegram concerning the incident. Yesterday, Laascanood witnessed mass protests, during which several individuals sustained injuries and, regrettably, a few lives were lost to.

  7. This website appears to be all but abandoned  a virtual ghost town. Posts have all but ceased, comments are exceedingly rare, and even when one does attempt to engage, the site takes an inordinate amount of time to load. It seems the administrators have either lost interest or entirely relinquished responsibility. The platform is riddled with technical issues and bugs, rendering it quite an unpleasant experience if u ask me .

As for the topic at hand  the Somali army emerged victorious in the conflict  it won the war but lost the political war because afweyne banked on the soviets  had the Somali republic been on the side of the USA the outcome would have been different afweyne was not that smart.

. The reason this Cuban individual persists in raising the matter is, quite plainly, because Cuba has never secured a decisive victory in any war throughout its history. His obsession with the Ethiopia Somalo war seems to stem from a deep seated yearning for the sort of triumph his nation has long been denied. I used to question whether he was entirely rational, but it appears to be a psychological trauma of sorts  his country has suffered repeated defeats, and he views this particular conflict as a symbolic victory he desperately clings to its all about his cuban self worth.

  8. Congressman Scott Perry Introduces "Republic of Somaliland Independence Act"

Washington, June 12, 2025 | Congressman Scott Perry

Congressman Scott Perry Introduces "Republic of Somaliland Independence Act"

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Scott Perry (PA-10) introduced the Republic of Somaliland Independence Act, legislation formally recognizing Somaliland as a separate, independent nation. The bill redirects U.S. foreign policy to align with a new, stable and self-governing partner in a region of increasing strategic importance to the United States.

“For more than three decades, Somaliland demonstrated the kind of governance, stability, and cooperation that America should support,” said Congressman Perry. “Foreign adversaries are on the march in Africa and around the globe, and it’s in our national interest to strengthen relationships with reliable partners who share our values and contribute to our security – whenever and wherever possible.”

Somaliland straddles key global shipping routes located along the Gulf of Aden near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Currently, the government and political system of Somaliland already operates independently of Mogadishu, the unstable, conflict-ridden and fractured capitol city of Somalia. Somalia’s meritless claims over Somaliland hinder the United States’ ability to forge deeper diplomatic ties with Somaliland, a responsible partner nation that maintains internal order, conducts democratic elections, and actively counters piracy and extremism.

“Somaliland has established itself as a stable, democratic, and reliable partner in East Africa. As China expands its influence across the globe, strengthening our alliances with free nations like Somaliland is more important than ever," said Congressman Andy Ogles (TN-O5). "I support the people of Somaliland in their pursuit of independence and look forward to building a strong partnership with them as allies."

“This is a smart, strategic bill, and I’m proud to be an original cosponsor of Congressman Perry’s effort to recognize Somaliland. They’ve governed themselves peacefully for decades, built strong ties with Taiwan, and refused to bow to the Chinese Communist Party. They’ve even offered the U.S. military access to a key port in the Gulf of Aden. That’s what a real partner looks like, and it’s time we treated them like one,” said Congressman Pat Harrigan (NC-10).

“It is a simple fact that Somaliland is a sovereign and self-governing nation separate from Somalia, and U.S. policy should reflect that," said Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07).

At a time of intensifying competition with China, Iran, and other hostile actors in the region and around the globe, the United States cannot afford to brush off allies. This bill ensures American leadership remains strong in East Africa, and sends a clear signal that the U.S. will stand with responsible partners who uphold stability and sovereignty.

  9. Somaliland will, as a matter of enduring policy, continue to assert its claim over the eastern regions of Sool and eastern Sanaag  regardless of its present level of control over those  regions. There remains a steadfast conviction among Somaliland’s leadership and citizenry that these lands will, in due course, be reintegrated be it through dialogue and diplomacy, or by means of more forceful measures. with the rise of the SSB this conviction is rooted  in a deep struggle to keep control of those regions .

Somaliland retains significant influence in these contested areas particularly in Sanaag and substantial portions of Sool.  Furthermore  the dynamics on the ground are evolving rapidly every timne . The once distant political figures, Ciiro and Deni, are increasingly aligned, forming what appears to be an emergent axis of cooperation some sources claimed they actually met . Simultaneously, there are backdoor dealings  between Firdhiye and the Bunker.

Somaliland and Puntland, long perceived as adversaries, of the past  are now exploring avenues of mutual engagement. Reports suggest Puntland may even be contemplating a path towards complete political severance from Mogadishu, a move that would further unsettle the already fragile  bunker  federa govt  Many anticipate that next year’s elections within “the Bunker” could prove transformative, particularly as Al Shabaab gains momentum, steadily asserting control over ever larger swathes of territory they are in balcad and can carry out attacks in mogadishy when ever they want . It is becoming increasingly clear that there may soon be very little left of the  bunker so what is there to rule maakhir

Historically, Somaliland’s desire to engage in unionist dialogue was genuine. In 1998, President ina cigaal  conceived a bold initiative: he sought to inaugurate himself as President of the Somali Republic, former Somali republic  propose a new capital, Hargeisa  and convene a reconciliation conference in Hargeisa for the (HAG) warlords and political elites. He believed that, upon witnessing the emergence of a functional government, the warlords would capitulate one by one. and that would be the end of it

Ina cigaal aimed to revive an earlier concept authored by Siilaanyo: a power-sharing framework between SNM and the  USC  built on a confederal model  two systems, one nation.” A joint Somali government would exist, while SNM administered Somaliland and USC-administered Somalia would retain substantial autonomy. Yet this initiative, like its 1990 predecessor, was met with indifference. Delegations were dispatched from Somaliland to Mogadishu throughout early 1990 among them was Saleebaan Gaal yet they returned empty handed. The only discourse from the koonfurians  elites concerned food and basic subsistence.  aboowe moos ma qabtan babayo ma qabtaan .  selebaan gaal said niman cunta ka sheekeneya u tegey. waxba kam so socdan eeh ku dhawaaqa bu yidhi

Ina cigaal final attempt at unity was scuppered when the HAG faction, under Abdiqasim Salad Hassan, chose to participate in the Djibouti led Arta Conference rather than join ina cigaal Hargeisa initiative. Stung by this betrayal, and with the public urging him to formalise Somaliland’s sovereign path, ina cigaal had no choice  turned his focus to state-building. The people demanded a constitution, and by 2001 just a year before his passing the Somaliland Constitution was ratified by popular referendum. Its very first article proclaimed the Republic of Somaliland, the state that had originally gained independence from Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 1960, to be an independent, sovereign nation once again.

From that moment, any conceivable path back to union with Somalia was foreclosed. For ever , so maakhir there is nothing to rule  there is nothing left to rule.

The recognition of Somaliland is inevitable its not if its when  and reer Somaliland are determined  The Somaliland people have invested profoundly in their statehood; they will never again consent to be ruled by others never again. The creation of Somaliland has brought unparalleled social and economic benefit to its citizens. What does Mogadishu offer in comparison, other than poverty, African Union troops, and  homicide attacks

Had independence not so tangibly improved the lives of its people, Somaliland’s statehood movement would have withered. Yet it has flourished, even among leaders once seen as unionists such as Tuur and the early in ina cigaal  By the time President ina  Rayaale assumed office, the pursuit of international recognition had become policy orthodoxy.  ina Rayaale’s administration achieved important diplomatic gains, including hosting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Jendayi Frazer during the Bush administration and laying the groundwork for potential AU engagement an effort sadly stymied by opposition from Egypt and Sudan. if it wasnt for them SL would be part of the au now

Today, the geopolitical winds are shifting. U.S. Senators now speak openly of engaging Somaliland; the “Somaliland Partnership Act” has been formally adopted in the USA  President Biixi’s visit to Washington marked a milestone in visibility and influence. The UAE has committed over a billion dollars in investment, a testament to Somaliland’s growing strategic appeal. The memorandum of understanding forged with Ethiopia last year   catalysed further global interest, and forced Mogadishu to make reactive, and at times desperate,  and  liquidating assets to curry favour with Ankara. they sold everything to Sultan erdogan just in spite of SL

Yet the central Somali govern ment is fast running out of options. They have played every card denying visas, erasing “Somaliland” from international flight listings, attempting to sabotage livestock exports. None have yielded results. Somaliland remains resilient.

Now, under the leadership of President Ciiro a seasoned statesman Somaliland’s diplomatic tempo has accelerated. He has already received full presidential honours in the UAE, visited Kenya despite its hosting of many historical adversaries tribal enemies , and met with the Kenyan President and leading intellectuals such as Prof. PLO Lumumba. His next scheduled visits include Ethiopia and, crucially, the United States.

Never before has Somaliland stood so tall on the world stage. It is led by a capable, worldly president who understands the international landscape and engages it with dignity and resolve. He has done so much in so little times

The Republic of Somaliland is no longer an aspiration it is a reality. And that reality is only becoming more difficult to ignore.

  10. The President of Somaliland, Mr. Abdurrahman ciiro  recently convened with a delegation of United Nations diplomats and numerous European ambassadors in Nairobi, where discussions on regional stability and bilateral cooperation took centre stage. The high-level meetings, marked by cordial and productive exchanges, underscored Somaliland's continued commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing its diplomatic standing on the global stage.

In addition, President Ciiro took the opportunity to engage with members of the Somaliland diaspora in Nairobi, reinforcing the importance of their role in supporting the nation’s development and international advocacy. The president’s interaction with the diaspora was an embodiment of his administration’s focus on strengthening ties with its expatriate community, which remains instrumental in contributing to the country's economic and social progress.

In a significant development for regional connectivity, it was also announced that Kenya Airways will soon commence direct flights between Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, and Nairobi. This new air route is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two nations, further bolstering Somaliland's regional integration and international engagement.

  11. Historically, Jubbaland was a distinct territory within British East Africa, which the British, in 1925, transferred to Italian control sold it reallt. Nearly a century has passed since then, and perhaps it is time to reconsider its strategic alignment particularly in light of recent history. WIth Ahmed madoobe and the fall out with culusow it is just not working    any more

Following the outbreak of civil war in Somalia in 1991, a significant number of Somalis sought refuge and opportunity in Kenya. Over the decades, the Somali-Kenyan population has grown markedly, contributing to the economic and social fabric of the country. Many Somalis  especially koonfurians now maintain businesses, residences, and substantial investments in Kenya, particularly in Nairobi and other urban centres there isli iyo meelaahas.

In light of this, one might argue that the full integration of Jubbaland into Kenya would serve the long-term interests of the Somali people. Strategically, it is unwise to concentrate all resources and aspirations within the borders of one fragile state. Instead, Somalis would do well to expand their footprint across the region, leveraging their demographic and financial capital to secure greater political representation and influence. would or could work  better then trying to rebuild

Imagine, if you will, a Somali community with access to and influence over a territorial expanse of 300,000 square kilometres. Such a position would offer not only strategic depth but also a platform for genuine political engagement and leadership. The financial a POWER and entrepreneurial success of the Somali diaspora, Particulary  strategically harnessed, could pave the way for enhanced visibility and authority within Kenyan politics. Thats where we want to go

Consider this  the Kalenjin, a relatively small ethnic group, have produced two Presidents of Kenya. There is no intrinsic reason why Somalis, with their growing numbers and economic strength, should not aspire to similar, if not greater, achievements can be done

The future lies in political diversification, economic consolidation, and a forward-thinking vision that embraces integration as a path to empowerment. With unity, strategy, and sustained effort, the Somali people could indeed emerge not just as participants, but as leaders in Kenya’s national narrative for sure , but we have to lose the emotions  only then we can achieve this.
