The UIC gave all their weapons back to the Clan based militias and these guys inturn pledged support for their 'Warlord'. Upto 600 militias from these guys will join the TFG forces inshallah. It's a great sign of moving forward.

I guess you don't understand what the speaker of parliament does or should be.Maybe I am looking at it from a British Parliamentary system like Canada or the UK. Notice in these countries the speaker only breaks ties towards the ruling gov't and whatnot.

A speaker of parliament is supposed to be bi-partisan a and what any speaker in the world should be a speaker. Not the opposition to a gov't. He thinks he is the Prime Minister or something? It's good he is gone and hopefully he never shows his demented views again.

The regions in question are obviously in question for a reason.Somaliland wants to make their clan fiefdom of a region look bigger and more diverse with the addition of the former british somaliland territories. When Your president or even Vice president can go to buhoodle toghdeer or Lascaanood, Sool or Badhan Sanaag lets talk.

ETHIOPIA HAS DONE its fellow Africans a good turn by ousting the increasingly radical Islamic Courts Union regime in Somalia. And thankfully, Addis Ababa has the wisdom to admit what everyone knows: that the Ethiopians have about 3.3 nanoseconds to get their troops out of xenophobic Somalia before they will be even more hated than the thugs they ousted. Now the question is: Who can bring order to this anarchic land?
The only move as foolish as sending U.S. troops to occupy Somalia would be for the international community to do nothing except watch it slip back into chaos. Somalia, you will recall, is a poster child for failed states. It is a place so violent that the Taliban imitators of the Islamic Courts, with their brutal "justice," were still seen as vastly preferable to the khat-fueled warlord gunplay that made a misery of life in Mogadishu for more than a decade previous. The irony is that the perpetually feuding Somali clans were finally able to unite behind the Islamists — even though most disliked their ideology — because they were so desperate for stability. The challenge is to provide order without a radical Islamist face.
Now that Ethiopia has done the heavy military lifting, U.S. forces are trying to bomb the Al Qaeda leaders who have followed Osama bin Laden's orders to regroup in Somalia. But unilateral fly-by interventions from 30,000 feet are not going to do the job alone.
If the Somalis want to get rid of the Ethiopians — and they do — they must be helped to hammer out a political settlement. The Ethiopians can deliver their allies — the transitional national government — to the bargaining table. The Arab League can bring the moderate clan leaders who backed the Islamists, and without whom no peace can hold in Mogadishu. The African Union can help deliver other factions. The U.N. and permanent Security Council members must use their diplomatic muscle to link reconstruction to a cessation of violence. African Union troops, with or without blue helmets, should then follow. Somalis have had enough strife for a lifetime.

You know and I know that a flight cost more to Toronto then in Calgary or winnipeg. WHY? Ofcourse due to the higher landing fee in Toronto. Different cities have different rules. The biggest city in a country has usually the highest cost to land a flight and hence the cost are passed on to the customer. Thats why many people use the airport in Hamilton.
However you'll argue because you just want to for no particular reason. How do you expect the gov't to raise funds? Beg for international hand outs for everything?

Wester sool is one district of the former Sool also known as caynabo. Riyaale Kahiin ran out of the capital of sool district. Somaliland is a dream in the mind of a few. What logical country in the world would advocate for the dismemberment of a Country with 90% of its population coming from one ethnic group, 100% believing in the Islamic faith mostly Sunni, speak the same language and even eat the same food- minus ofcourse our northern brother who has some sort of spite towards ugaali/soor LOOOOL.
They would then have to divide countries who have legitimate claims of differences and oppression under ethnic monopolies and religious abuses of the majority towards the minority.

UIC asked for the assistance of foreigners. "Sheik" Turki explicitly said this himself and that foreign 'mujahideen' came to fight alongside him. Which is utter hypocrisy. This is the same man who was behind killings of innocent people in Waqooyi galbeed.

Eritrean soldiers have been caught in Kenya, Their adminstration will obviously deny any involvement. The ICU are made too look like angels. The countries who have offered the TFG help are its neighbours.
Many of which have hosted 100 000's of thousands of Somali refugees in their respective countries. Kenya till this day has close to 200k somalis whom they support in refugee camps.
Yemenis have close too 500 thousand somalis in there country and give them many rights which are not allowed to somalis in Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc
Ethiopia gave refugee to hundreds of thousands of Somalis (Mostly from Northern Somalia). They have caused instability in Somalia, but if the TFG ask's for their assistance isn't that the right of the legitimate National Government?
