  1. With the four imams we should accept all of them and ask Allah aubhanala watala to reward them greatly. It is incorrect thought to ascribe our self to an imam and say for example I am a hanafee or shafee ect. Subhanala some who do this even reached a worse state such as ban in marriage between hanafee and shafiee. A well known hanafee scholar nicknamed mufti ath-thaqlee issued a fatwa allowing a hanafii to marry a shafii women because her position is like those of the book meaning that the reverse case is not allowed i.e. a hanafee women cannot marry a shafiee just as a Muslim women cannot marry a Jew or a Christian!! One should not follow the imams blindly sticking to their madhabs or views as if these had descended from the heaven! Allah SW says ‘Follow o men the revelation given to you from your lord, and follow not, as friend or protector other then him, little is ur remembrance of admonition.’ Al araaf, 7; 3 The imams themselves told us not to follow anything that they may say which will contradict the Sunnah. Abu hanafee rahimahullah said It is not permitted for any one to accept our views if they do not know from where we got it from. Malik rahimahullah said Truly I am only moral, therefore look into my opinions, all that agrees with the book and Sunnah accept it and all that does not agree ignore it. Shafiee rahimahullah said If you find in my writings, something different to the sunnah of the messenger of allah SAW, then speak on the bassis of the sunnah and leave what I have said. Ahmed ibn hanbal rahimahullah said Do not follow my opinion; neither follow the opinion of maalik, nor shafii, but take from where they took. So my question to you sahal if you believe in the saying of the four imams then how can we know which one of their hadiths is saheeh (correct) and which is daeef ( weak) unless we go back to people of knowledge those who have a chain of narration back all the way the prophet. Without going back to those you call ‘KHALAF’ Scholars how can we know which hadeeth is authentic?
  2. Sad you have not grasped the positive answer that salafi dawa has given you on me behalf. I will say Nur mashallah with the intellects may have especially in the world of business, but yet you are lacking the correct knowledge of our ulmas otherwise you would not have said any of this fabrication, I don’t know what you read or heard or however you came about to say such a lie. Our scholors adhere to a manhaj in aqeedah (creed), a manhaj in da'wah (calling to Allaah), a manhaj in enjoining good and forbidding evil, a manhaj in how to judge between people. This manhaj, in all situations, was based upon the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of our Messenger. I repeat manhaj in all situations including politics, business, scientific enquiry, social change, government, law and justice. through your writing we have come familiar with certain scholars and their works If you believe in all the negative stuff you said about the scholars then why do you use their work through your writings?
  3. Weird I never seen a Jehova Witness speaking Somali before. Russian who is a professor of Somali incredible But you know the funny thing I always thought learning Somali was difficult and now I even see Asians with turbans (Sikhs) speaking in it.

  5. Without doubt you have certainly misunderstood nur… what I meant is if one does not have the knowledge then the last place he should go to is debates and arguments since there are countless disagreement in it, Hence the one who is trying to gain the knowledge will get confused. True many can get benefits from theses forums but this should not be the only place we should seek knowledge from. It is impossible for a forum to contain every beneficial information this is the reason why I have informed about the lessons on pal talk. But for those who do not want take part in theses lessons for any reason then there is no compulsion as god gave every individual a free will. …Ulema dont have time to share with poor ignoran Somalionline Nomads seeking a glimpse of knowledge… quote from nur If one is seeking knowledge then one has to hunt for the knowledge and not expect it to come to them. My advice Dont curse The Darkness, qoute from nur I suggest you take this back if you at least understood half of what I have said.
  6. My question still stands! still waiting your response and it is: Do you love all MUSLIMS or you love some of them? quote: from sahal I love all Muslims who believe in allah, his book, his names and attributes, his messengers, the sunnah of the phrophit SAW, in the qadar, the day of judgement. Those who take the sunnah of the phorophit seriously and do not say it is not important. Not those who believe in part of it or commit shirk with allah. But those who believe in it as the way the sahabas believed in it, sayfulaah-almasluul do you believe that the phorophit SAW said the save sect are "They are those who are upon what I and my companions are upon today".
  7. Yes we are Muslims, but as Muslims spilt into 73 sects how do we know we are upon the correct sect. Well as mentioned b4 the messenger SAW said the saved one is that which my companion and I are upon. Today we live in a time when confusion and misunderstanding of Islam is rampant among Muslims. Clarity of though, belief and action are no longer as clear as they were to the earlier noble generations. A cloud has descended upon the hearts of many as the search for the truth. Hence calling our self salafs means we are attaching our self to those generations who where clear from confusion, those generations that could never unite upon misguidance as the prophet SAW said ‘My Ummah will not unite upon misguidance’ The Muslims that attach them self to salaf, believe in Allah and his names and attributes as mentioned in his book and the suunah of the messenger SAW. They believe calling upon the dead seeking aid from them and similarly with the living in which no one besides Allah is capable of is SHIRK wit Allah. As you all probably know some of our fellow Somalis from back home who call themselves Muslims, call upon dead sheikhs such as sheikh Madar, and they also sacrifice for other then the sake of Allah, They call themselves muslims but is this the way of the pious predecessors. Hizb tahrirs call themselves muslims and yet they do not believe in the punishment of the graves, or the dajal. Also there are those who call them self’s Muslims and commit or agree with suicide bombing is this from the sunah of messenger SAW? What were they called before that and who was their leader? Quote from sakina The word "Salafiyyah" was not applied during the time of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and his companions – this being due to the fact that the Muslims were upon the correct Islaam and there was no need for a word such as "Salafiyyah" at that time. However, when the tribulations occurred and the sects increased and the Ummah split the Ulamaa of the Ummaah stood to distinguish those upon the truth from those upon falsehood and hence they stated "Ahl ul-Hadeeth" and "as-Salaf". From my past experience whenever they cannot answer questions they just start attacking people calling them names and changing the subject altoghether. Quote from sakina This is not from salafs us salih , this is due to the upbringing and nature of the individual, his characteristics and his personality, and it is not necessary a reflection of the base and foundation, the aqidah and manhaj of the Salaf, which is nothing but the truth. The one who ascribes himself to the four well-known madhhabs, then he has ascribed himself to those who are not protected from making mistakes as individuals - even though there are from them Scholars that attain what is correct.
  8. i am only going to say one thing to you sahal MY ALLAH SWA GUIDE YOU TO THE TRUTH BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. because no matter how long we debate about this either publically or on this group, it is only ALLAH who will allow your heart to accept the trut.
  9. i can see you have soo much haterd for salafs but the word "Salaf" was used by the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) himself. He said to Faatimah, "How excellent a Salaf I am for you." (Muslim, no. 2450). Allaah Has Named us Muslims, So Why Ascribe Ourselves to the Salaf This doubt was very beatifully answered by Imaam al-Albaani in his discussion with someone on this subject, recorded on the cassette entitled, "I am Salafi", and here is a presentation of the vital parts of it: Shaikh al-Albaani: "When it is said to you, ‘What is your madhhab’, what is your reply?" Questioner: "A Muslim". Shaikh al-Albaani: "This is not sufficient!". Questioner: "Allaah has named us Muslims" and he recited the saying of Allaah Most High, "He is the one who has called you Muslims beforehand." (al-Hajj 22:78) Shaikh al-Albaani: "This would be a correct answer if we were in the very first times (of Islaam) before the sects had appeared and spread. But if we were to ask, now, any Muslim from any of these sects with which we differ on account of aqeedah, his answer would not be any different to this word. All of them – the Shi’ite Rafidi, the Khaariji, the Nusayri Alawi – would say, "I am a Muslim". Hence, this is not sufficient in these days." Questioner: "In that case I say, I am a Muslim upon the Book and the Sunnah." Shaikh al-Albaani: "This is not sufficient either". Questioner: "Why?" Shaikh al-Albaani: "Do you find any of those whom we have just mentioned by way of example saying, ‘I am a Muslim who is not upon the Book and the Sunnah’?" Who is the one who says, ‘I am not upon the Book and the Sunnah’?" At this point the Shaikh then began to explain in detail the importance of being upon the Book and the Sunnah in light of the understanding of the Salaf us-Saalih… Questioner: "In that case I am a Muslim upon the Book and the Sunnah with the understanding of the Salaf us-Saalih". Shaikh al-Albaani: "When a person asks you about your madhhab, is this what you will say to him?" Questioner: "Yes". Shaikh al-Albaani: "What is your view that we shorten this phrase in the language, since the best words are those that are few but indicated the desired intent, so we say, ‘Salafi’?" End of quotation. Hence, the point is that naming with "Muslim" or "Sunni" is not enough, since everyone will claim that. And Imaam al-Albaani emphasised the importance of the truth being distinguished from the falsehood – from the point of view of the basis of manhaj and aqidah, and that is taking from the Salaf us-Saalih, as opposed to the various sects and groups whose understandings are based upon those of their mentors and leaders and not that of the Salaf, fundamentally.
  10. inalillah wa'inali rajiuun.. may allah make your uncle one of his chosen ones, those who he give shade on the day when there is no other shade but his. may he also make the punishment of the grave easy for him and grant him al jannah. ameen. do not give up on praying for him akhi as your prayers will help you uncle big time.
  11. thanks brother or sister am glad you found it beneficial.
  12. so xamar my brother the salafi dawa is the haqq so i pry insha allah u gain the knowledege becouse you are confused.. the phrophit SAW said "this Ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of them in the Hellfire but one". They said, which one is this O Messenger of Allaah? He replied, "They are those who are upon what I and my companions are upon today". Hence Salafiyyah is a group of people (i.e. the Salafis) upon the madhhab of the Salaf, upon what the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and his companions were upon. so brother u cant hate arabs becouse remember our prophit SAW was an arab.
  13. Shaikh Saalih Aal ash-Shaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia, stated, "Muslims are of two groups: Salafis and Khalafis. As for the Salafis, then they are the followers of Salaf us-Saalih (first three generations of Muslims). And as for the Khalafis, then they are the followers of the understanding of the Khalaf and they are also called Innovators - since everyone who is not pleased and satisfied with the path of the Salaf us-Saalih, in knowledge and action, understanding and fiqh, then he is a khalafi, an innovator." (Haadhihi Mafaaheemunaa, Chapter on Ascription Salaf and Salafiyyah).

    DEATH

***OPERATION DEATH *** By G.H.E Vanker It was early in the morning at four. When death knocked upon a bedroom door. "Who is there?" the sleeping one cried. "I'm Izrael, let me inside." At once, the man began to shiver, as one sweating in deadly fever, he shouted to his sleeping wife, "Don't let him take away my life." "Please go away, O Angel of Death! Leave me alone, I'm not ready yet. My family on me depend, give me a chance, O please prepense!" The Angel knocked again and again, "Friend! I'll take your life without a pain, 'It is your soul Allah require, I come not with my own desire. Bewildered, the man began to cry, "O Angel! I'm so afraid to die I'll give you gold and be your slave, don't send me to the unlit grave." "Let me in, O Friend!" the Angel said, "Open the door, get up from your bed. If you do not allow me in, I will walk through it, like a Jinn." The man held a gun in his right hand, ready to defy the Angel's stand, "I'll point my gun, towards your head. You dare come in, I'll shoot you dead." By now, the Angel was in the room, Saying, "O Friend! prepare for your doom. Foolish man, Angels never die, Put down your gun and do not sigh." "Why are you afraid! Tell me O man, to die according to Allah's plan? Come, smile at me, do not be grim, be happy to return to Him." "O Angel! I bow my head in shame, I had no time to take Allah's name. From morn till dusk I made my wealth, not even caring for my health." "Allah's commands I never obeyed nor five times a day I ever prayed. A Ramadan came and Ramadan went but no time had I to repent." "The Haj was already fard on me But I would not part with my money. All charities I did ignore taking usury more and more." "Sometimes I sipped my favorite wine with flirting women I sat to dine. O Angel! I appeal to you spare my life for a year or two." "The Laws of Qur'an I will obey, I'll begin Salat this very day. My Fast and Haj, I will complete, and keep away from self conceit." "I will refrain from usury, and give all my wealth to charity, wine and wenches I will detest, Allah's oneness I will attest." "We Angels do what Allah demands, we cannot go against His commands. Death is ordained for everyone, father, mother, daughter or son." "I'm afraid, this moment is your last, now be reminded, of your past. I do understand your fears but it is now too late for tears." "You lived in this world, two score and more, Never did you, your people adore. Your parents, you did not obey, hungry beggars, you turned away." "Your two ill-gotten, female offsprings, in night-clubs, for livelihood they sing. Instead of making more Muslims, you made your children non-Muslims." "You ignored the Mu'athin's Athaan, nor did you read the Holy Qur'an. Breaking promises all your life, backbiting friends, and causing strife." "From hoarded goods, great profits you made, and your poor workers, you underpaid. Horses and cards were your leisure, money-making was your pleasure." "You ate vitamins and grew more fat, with the very sick, you never sat. A pint of blood you never gave, which could a little baby save." "O human, you have done enough wrong, you bought good properties for a song. When the farmers appealed to you, you did not have mercy, 'tis true." "Paradise for you? I cannot tell, undoubtedly you will dwell in hell. There's no time for you to repent, I'll take your soul for which I'm sent." The ending, however, is very sad. Eventually the man became mad. With a cry, he jumped out of bed. And suddenly, he fell down dead. O Reader! take a moral from here, you never know, your end may be near. Change your living and make amends, for heaven, on your deeds depends. With du'a Wassalamu'alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh ==================================== "Life is such a wonderful gift......"
  15. can some body please advice how you can tell a waalid uncle or father that qaad is haram. how can you persuade them so they can stop.
  16. walal .. is true if you are going to wear a hijab it should be from the heart and you should do it for allah. but sister i wouldnt say parent are wrong for making their childeren wear becouse our parent have some much rights over us and it is their duty to tell their childeren what is right. as they will be asked if they have encouraged their kids to do the right thing. howevere when we get older and leave home then the whole matter leaves their hand and they cant do anything. also when take our hijab of after leaving the house which am sure many sister do then although this is wrong at least they are not causing trouble with their parents. so sister we just have to be patient with them as they are only doing their duty.
  17. may allah guide those who would like to find knowledge in islam, and may he guide all of us aswell. may allah make us not become the slave of our desires since 90% of the people of this land are not following the deen but there desires. we should connect to the people of knowledge to the ulama in the land of the muslim, we do not have any ulama in this country. to be steadfast in the deen is to oocupy our self with obtaining beneficial knowledege and not preoccupying whith things that will waste our time and harm us and what does not concearn us. remeber time is your life it is important then the food we eat the drinks we drink it is even better then gold but gold has a prize attached to it while time is prizeless. so my brothers and sisters if u want to gain knowledge the last place one should go to is debates and argument since they are waste of time.
  18. salamu alycum there are very beneficial somali salafi lessons on paltalk on thursday, friday and saturday at 9pm. by a brother in mekka may allah reward him.
  19. Can a Muslim Woman Lead a Public Mixed-Gender Friday Prayer ? *** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shaykh Saalih Ibn Muhammed Al-Luhaydaan Member of Council of Senior Scholars Member of Lajnah Ad-Daaimah Q1. There is a woman among us, who is a professor of Islamic studies in one of the universities, who claims that there is no prohibition in Islam for a woman to lead men in the congregational prayer. This woman is planning to deliver a Friday sermon as well as lead the Friday prayers, for a congregation of men and women. This woman believes that women praying in the back rows of the mosque behind men has nothing to do with Islam, but rather it is the it is the result of following old customs and cultural practices. Due to this belief, this Friday she will place the women's rows in front, and the men will pray behind them. What is the Islamic position on this issue? And what is the ruling on men praying behind women? A1. All Praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be on His Messenger who delivered the message, fulfilled the trust given to him, advised the nation, and left us on a clear path. Nobody deviates from this path except that he is religiously destroyed. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) explained to us what was revealed to him by Allah in the Quran. Allah revealed the Quran as a clarification for all things, and He ordered His prophet to explain to the people what has been revealed to them by their Lord. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fulfilled this duty and clarified all issues. He never made a woman a leader of prayers for men. Allah says: (translation) "Men are the care-takers of women" And when He mentioned the relationship between men and women, He made clear that men are favored over women. With regards to acts of worship, however, it is necessary for women to carry out the same obligations as men. For instance, women are required to observe all the daily prayers, just as men are. This obligation is never waived except if a woman is menstruating or in the period of post-childbirth bleeding. It is not permissible for a woman to lead men in prayers, as it is not permissible for her to deliver a Friday sermon. A woman is not allowed to be a leader for men in obligatory or supererogatory prayers. She is only permitted to lead other women in prayers, and while she is doing this, she should stay in the middle of the first row of women she is leading, and she should not come in front of them. What I have mentioned here is the opinion of the majority of Islamic scholars, past and present. And it is not proper for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to innovate into this religion what Allah and His Messenger have not allowed. This professor you mentioned, perhaps intends to deliver a Friday sermon, or perhaps she would like to lead the people in the Friday prayer. This is a matter that is not permissible in Islamic law. No evidence can be found to support her position in the Quran, the Sunnah, the sayings of the companions and their followers, or the sayings of the people of knowledge. If this woman is Muslim, then it is obligatory for her to comply to the rulings set by Islam, and to follow the guidance of the Mothers of the Believers, and the women of the companions, may Allah be pleased with them all. I do not know of anyone from any period of time who has allowed a woman to lead the people in Friday prayers or deliver a Friday sermon. This never occurred during the time of the rightly-guided caliphs, which was the peak of the Islamic nation, nor during the Umayyah or Abbasi dynasties. Actually, it never occurred during any time whatsoever. So there is no doubt that this is clear misguidance, and we ask Allah to guide that woman, and those who accept her position, to the truth. Q2. This woman says that she disagrees with the Quranic ruling mandating cutting off the hand of a thief, because she believes that cutting off someone's hand is brutal behavior. Also, she does not submit to some of the Quranic rulings that pertain to Islamically prescribed punishments. What is the ruling on one who denies the permissibility of cutting off the hand of a thief? A2. One who denies a ruling that is clearly stated in the Quran becomes a disbeliever, and leaves the fold of Islam. Allah says (translation) "The male and female thief -- cut off their hands." However, for this ruling to be carried out, certain conditions must be met. For instance it should be clear that the thief didn't mistakenly take money that he thought was his. Also, if a Muslim takes money from the Muslim public treasury, his hand is not to be cut off, rather he is to be punished in a way that will deter himself and others from committing this crime in the future. When people start to deny the laws that the Quran has set, then they have actually started to leave Islam and remove it's companionship from their necks. And by doing so, there is a great evil and misguidance, its extent known only to Allah. Q3. This professor says that if a Muslim finds difficulty or problems understanding some verses of the Quran, it is permissible to reject these verses and say "No" to the Quran. What is the ruling on such a statement? A3. One who makes this statement has fallen into a dangerous situation. The Quran was revealed in the language of the Arabs, and it is completely understood in the language of the Arabs, except for the matters of the unseen, and this was explained by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). As for those who follow the unclear verses in the Quran, they are the people whose hearts have deviated from the straight path. In the Quran there are verses that are understandable to any Arab who can read and understand the Arabic language. There are other verses that deal with detailed rulings, and these have been explained by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Allah says (translation) "that you (O Prophet) explain to the people what has been revealed to them." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fulfilled this duty and explained everything. Allah also mentioned about the Quran (translation) "In it are verses that are precise -- they are the foundation of the Book, and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation, the will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation (suitable to them)." These are the people of misguidance. As for those who have firm knowledge, they say "We believe in it, all of it is from our Lord." As for the idea of rejecting the verses of the Quran that one does not understand, it should be known that recitation of the Quran is an act of worship, even if the reciter does not understand what he is reading. If he is able to read and understand what he is reading, then he has been given a great blessing. Intentionally rejecting a verse from the Quran, and firmly resolving not to accept it, is actually firmly resolving to leave Islam. This is something that none of the people of knowledge have ever agreed to. The Quran was revealed as a clarification for all things, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) explained these things to us in his Sunnah. The Sunnah of the Prophet clarifies what is difficult to understand in the Quran. It limits, specifies, and clarifies certain rulings. Furthermore, the Quran cannot be understood by all people. A person with greater understanding of the Arabic language can comprehend the general verses of the Quran better than others. Whoever deviates from this understanding has deviated from the straight path, and taken the other paths that lead to misguidance. Allah says (translation): "And surely this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow the (other) ways, for you will be separated from His way." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once was with his companions, and he drew a straight line. He drew to the left and right many crooked lines. He then said that the straight line was the path of Allah, whereas the crooked lines were the other paths, with each one having a devil calling to it. Then he recited the previously mentioned verse: (translation) "And surely this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow the (other) ways, for you will be separated from His way." We ask Allah to protect us and keep us safe from this. Q4. When this professor was asked about implementation of Islamic laws in Canada, she rejected this suggestion, but in the same lecture, she gave her support to same-sex marriages? What do you say about this? A4. This statement does not even need to be discussed. Is this woman a Muslim? A Muslim would never make such a statement. It is impossible for a sane Muslim to make such a statement. She is not only allowing homosexuality, but encouraging and justifying it by suggesting that same-sex marriages should be recognized. On the other hand, she is rejecting the implementation of Islamic law. Is she a Muslim. No one from the fold of Islam would allow a man to marry a man and a woman to marry a woman. The only question is: Should a man who commits homosexuality be executed or not? Should it be carried out by stoning or not? Most of the companions were of the opinion that men who commit homosexuality should be executed. Shaykh-ul-Islam ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the companions and the Tabi'een had a consensus on the issue of execution, but the difference of opinion was on how it should be carried out? Should they be stoned, or thrown off the highest structure in the land? The idea of legalizing homosexuality is filthy and evil, and could never be supported by a Muslim. We ask Allah to keep us safe. Q5. This woman says that it is the right of women to sit with men in the main hall of the mosque, without any barrier, and it is the right of women to participate in all activities normally reserved for men, such as leading the prayers, etc... What is the correct position in this matter? A5. Surely, this is from misguidance. Women have roles and jobs specific to them, and men have roles and jobs specific to them. Allah specified women to carry children and give birth. Also, Allah says: (translation) "Men are the care-takers of women." And when the Persians appointed the daughter of Kisra as the leader of their kingdom after his death, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said (translation): "A nation who appoints a woman as its leader will not be successful." Furthermore, even the testimony of a woman is not equal to that of a man. According to the Quran, the testimony of two women is equal to that of one man. As for crowds of men and women entering the mosque from the same door, and the issue of women and men sitting side by side without a barrier, this is something that is totally against the etiquettes of Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said (translation): “The best rows for the women are the last ones, and the worst ones are the front ones." And he said with regards to the prayer, which is the most important act of worship (translation): "If the wife of one of you asks for permission to go to the mosque, let him not prevent her, but their houses are better for them." He also said : (translation): the first trial that affected the Children of Israel was due to women." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also informed us that he did not leave behind a more harmful trial for men than women. So we say: May Allah guide the men and women of the Muslims to hold fast to their religion and respect the rulings of Allah, and constrain their actions to comply with the Quran and the Sunnah and what the scholars have agreed upon. No nation has a methodology that addresses all situations of man and his personal life, as well as his business dealings, his relations with friends and enemies, his relations with his family and relatives, his relations with the rulers and subjects -- no nation has a methodology that deals with these relationships like the methodology of Islam. And whoever wants something other than Islam, wants to fall into clear misguidance. And help is sought with Allah.
  20. i will say no we are not united because there are many deviant groups today, everyone calls them self’s Muslims but not many are actually are upon the haqq. There are many different groups, eg the tableeqs, hizp tahrir and many more, so because of this it is not surprising we are not all united The prophet SAW said the best of people are those from my generation then those who came after then those who came after so it is important that we ascribe our self’s to the first three generation the salaf us salihun ( pious predecessors). So the reason why we are not united is because many Muslims today are not upon the correct aqeeda
  21. the importance of tawheed by Shaikh Muhammad bin Jameel Zainoo Verily, Allaah has created the world and everything in it in order to worship Him alone. He sent the Messenger to call the people to Tawheed and the Noble Qur'aan is concerned with the aqeedah of tawheed in most of its chapters, and it explains the harm of shirk for the individual and the society. Shirk is the reason for destruction in this life and the reason for eternal destruction in the Fire of the Hereafter. Verily, all the Messengers began their call with Tawheed, which they were commanded by Allaah to convey it to the people. He, the Most High, said: We have not sent before you from the Messengers, except We inspired to him that He is the only One worthy of worship, so worship Him. [21:25] The Messenger of Allaah stayed in Makkah for thirteen years while he called his people to the Tawheed of Allaah and he called to Him alone without associating anything with Him. It was regarding this issue that Allaah revealed the following verse to His Noble Messenger: Say: Verily I call to my Lord and I do not ascribe any partners to Him at all. [72:20] The Noble Messenger brought up his followers upon Tawheed from the time of childhood and he said to the son of his uncle, his cousin 'Abdullaah ibn 'Abbaas: "When you ask, then ask Allaah, and when you seek help, then seek help from Allaah." [Hasan Saheeh, Tirmidhi]. This Tawheed is in reality the religion of Islaam, which is built upon it, and anything other than it is not accepted by Allaah. Verily, the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) taught his Companions to begin their call to the people with tawheed, so he said to Mu'aadh ibn Jabal, when he (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) sent him to Yemen: "So let the first thing you call them to, be the testification that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah." And in another narration: "...that they worship Allaah alone." [bukhari and Muslim] Tawheed is embodied in the testification that "None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah." Its meaning is that there is no one who is worthy of deserving worship except Allaah, and there is no worship except that which the Messenger of Allaah came with. Iris this testification which allows a unbeliever to enter into Islaam, since it is the key to Paradise, and the one who testifies to it and believes it enters into Paradise as long as he does not invalidate it by shirk or a word of disbelief. The disbelieving Quraish offered the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) kingship, wealth and wives and other than that from the pleasures of this life in exchange for him abandon the call to tawheed, and abaudon the attacks against the idols.
