    You are assuming that the whole Ethopian population will move to Somalia. Ofcourse there will be a mechanism to control immigration, that is why we need to strengthen our institutions first. Your concern is no different from concern of Tanzanians and Ugandans have about Kenyan skill workers overtaking their local workers, but it did not stop them to continue to be part of the East African Economic bloc. 

    That said, I don't think economic integration will happen overnight but will take years to come into fruition. Ethopia is poor country and does not have the means to invest one seaport let alone four at once. What is happening here is that UAE has realised it can not fulfill its ambitions to invest in Somalia without the Somali government's blessing.

    I don't know why we somalis are so afraid of Ethopia. Ethopia is as vulnerable as Somalia is in terms of ethnic unrest and political upheaval. I believe we have a lot to gain from economic integration as part of Horn of Africa bloc that is equivalent to the that of the Eastern African Econmic bloc. We have very business minded population that have already proven themselves in Eastern and Souther Africa, and we can easily dominate Ethopia once they open up and adopt free trade.

    All we need is to get our acts together and strengthen our institutions so that we go into negotiations while we know what are our interests iand how best to achieve them.

    I don't see anything to complain about or criticise in both leaders'speeches. 

    What is important here is that Ethopia confirmed their intention to respect the sovereignty and indepence of Somalia, and the need for relationship based on mutual interest and trade is the way forward.

    Xaaji Xunduf who has been complaining to the international communities in the last few weeks? You phantom foreign minster cried other day that the international communities to interfere the war. He also said few days ago that SNM is facing a  war that they have not seen its magnitude before. All in all, it seems SNM want to stop this war because it has backfired on Muse Ooyaaye. For the first time in years SNM is digging trenches in and around Lasanod for fear of losing it. Things are getting tough for the phantom enclave.

    Muse Ooyaaye has made wrong calculations. He wanted to turn this war one which is between the TFG and SNM so that the international communities interfere and bring Farmajo to sit with Muse and restart negotiations. The international communities including IGAD have largely ignored the separstists ploy. That why the Baashe other day blasted on IGAD for ignoring them. Sxb marka I know you are saving a face with empty bravado but this guy Muse Ooyaaye is a failure.

    About Abdiwali, I tell you what he is least hardliner of all the presidential candidates and if he does not come back, it will most likeky be Morgan, which will be a whole new ball game.

    I can see Suldaan and his Mr Booto friend a.k.a Xaaji Xunduf are getting restless. Puntland has already won the diplomatic war when the international community and IGAD told SNM to vacate Tukaraq but they refused. Now Puntland is winning the hearts and minds of Reer SSC so much so today masses are holding Puntland flag high in Laascaanood in broad daylight something unthinkable few months ago. For the first time in ten years Laaska is on the balance and it is just a matter of when and not if to fall.

    And those getting impatient, remember December 2002 when Riyaale the SNM leader visited Lasanod for the first time and broke unwritten agreement of respective Puntland/Somaliland not to visit the town as it was shared town? Abdullahi Yusuf the then puntland presidend sent his army within hours and Riyale was chased out. After few hours of skirmishes Puntland took over the town and Riyale went running to Hargaisa.

    It took SNM to regroup three years, and the first real resistance happened in Oog 120 km away Northof Lasanod. By then Abdullahi Yusuf became TFG president and withdrew 4000 soldiers from frontlines to Mogadishu. SNM took advantage of these and attacked Puntland positions. Puntland short on men and weapons withdrew tactically to Adhicadeye and resisted the SNM. It took another 3 years in 2007 for them to capture Lasanod and even then with the help of Xaabsade's militia.

    History is repeating itself today.  As they started the Riyale war, they have now started Tukaraq war. And I am afraid this war will be bloody and could even go on for years. Puntland policy was always that SSC will be solved through negotiation and not the barrel of the gun. Now it is all change. SNM mistook the Puntland policy for weakness and have been on the offence since they took over Lasanod. Now it seems, Puntland lost patience and determined as never before to teach SNM a lesson. We will see where it all ends and who will have the upper hand. Allah waxaanka baryaynaa xal aan dagaal ahayn Inuu noo keeno.

    Ducale you are angry and feeling the pressure Mr Biixi is feeling . This is the epic failure we have here. You held Laascaanood for ten years but thousands of people came out to reject your project before even Puntland got there kkkk . Any other entity would have realised that the game is up and would have packed their bags but not deluded secessionists led by  Biixi.

    Sxb this war is between two tribal entities and no entity have overwhelming hardware to force the other to submission. Horaan ushhegay waa dagaalkii USC and Dblock in the 1990s.     Observer  I ask you simple question. Is it Puntland that has started this war? Wallahi if it was Puntland that started this war I would not have supported them. But the whole wide world now that one bright daylight while the masses in Puntland were welcoming Farmaajo the militia from seccessionist took over a town just 60 miles from Garowe.
