  3. Yes Islam is very very weak in Somaliland from what i saw, everyone wears hijjab and prayers but it is just not the same, it was the first time i felt religious in my whole life! seriously. It is so effortless and part of life. You can hear talks thorough out the day from outside speakers, the adan etc but even so, spead of sins is out of control! Islam indeed is in the west!

  11. Xanthus, you can freeze cooked food. Make pasta sauce, portion it in freezer bags. You can cook the pasta as needed. You can also freeze breads, so buy the whole loaf and just pop the slices in the toaster. I think the bread will go out of date regardless, but i can freez rice and pasta source. Thanks cara, although it would mean i have to eat same think 2days in a row lol Val, lol i'll just use the one we normal use for shah somali

  22. How do people who live alone persuade themselves to cook?? I've been back two weeks, my house is empty, except for biscuits and drinks, pasta, rice and tea bags. How do you cook something small enough just for you! I'm getting bored of take away, eating out and cereals &tuna and salad! And when you go shopping, doesn't everything go out of date before your get around to eating it, unless you stop by the shop everyday and buy what you intend to eat that day only. I’ve discovered that eating or rather cooking is a social thing.
