    North, I know you have been away for some time from the adopted motherland but contain yourself. This IS England. While they are great at many things football is just not one of them.

     

    Ask yourself, when was the last time they BEAT a “big” team? Like Germany, Italy, Argentina or Holland? Unless they start doing that for at least a decade, they cant talk. Save your energy. Beating Slovenia by 1 goal does not suddenly make them all Pales. It doesn’t even take a football expert to know this.

     

    p.s. I hope Schweinsteiger will be fit to play Sunday and Klose will be back on hand.

    It doesn’t actually say Somalis were involved? Just that it’s an immigrant town with a high number of Somalis? It is implied but it looks to me more of a prejudiced opportunistic chance to link the violence to ‘Mogadishu’ and confirming this link by calling the place ‘Little Mogadishu’.

    Quiet time, alone time is natural and good…but humans are social creatures, being with people is necessary.

     

    C&H, there are times I think all these self-improvement advice books are not really helpful. Not all information out there is WISDOM and sometimes this culture of dissecting yourself isn’t doing individuals any favours. It’s too self-centred, almost looking for problems where there aren’t any or encouraging stream-lined 'good' behaviour.

    Deleted, I have the same one. It’s quiet good. I love the US/Australian measurement system, so Somali like, one cup of this, half a cup of that, 1 tea spoon and 1 table spoon of this. None of this exact grams and millilitres we use in the UK.

    KK, Oh, I don’t know about ESL teaching. I think the minimum was a degree and TEFL qualification.

     

    Waa ban yaabe. You need a good degree plus post-graduate qualification (equal to Masters) to be even a primary school teacher. As long as she is not teaching kids.

    Yeah but UK is 6 weeks, compared to 2 and a half to 3 months for most of Europe... but then again, UK does have the highest working mothers in EU.

     

    I would love to have months and months off.

    C&H, if you're mood hasnt improved I suggest a nice work out or long walk, followed by a shower and some serious dikir and supplementary prayers if possible. That will keep you chilled.
