he other issue regarding Tahriib is also an issue that is in the blood and bone of Somalilanders. Our country has history in Tahriib. Our nomads travelled the world over, they were the first to go cross the seven seas on top of the famous British Steam Ships - at one point the super power of the seas during the Industrial era. Our nomads at one stage made up of second biggest ethnicity in British Docklands and Shipyards working both as sailors and Stevedoring services.

We have established communities in the traditional sea-fearing ports of the world including Wales and England as well as Bombay and beyond.

So Tahriib is not something new, it is a passage. We should welcome it and let the youth suffer and survive and learn at the same time. That is way our forefathers did it.

Exceptional case of delusion,  have you ever seen Saudis,  Emirates doing tahrib? SOMALIS have failed and sitting in sh!t and worse part some not even aware,

You can't not hold the masses in the triangle hostage , with these bs,  fairytales, no future, some day,  they will woke up.

The illiterate seamen were bottom of society,  many committed suicide,  many died cuz of lack.of care, some went mad,  many lost and never came back,  some were taken to human zoo, so are you hoping to,  to those unfortunate past, under colonial rule,

Please iskayaree sheekha guriga, iyo beenta  and educate yourself and find the truth. Be someone yourself and get out of this qaby@@lad

This is wrong! he should be meeting his MP colleagues to discuss their expectations, procedures and other issues concerning the agenda for the newly elected Parliament, not foreign signatories, he clearly doesn’t understand his role and responsibility. seminar ayuu u baahanyahay.

Who understands responsibilities ? ummada Dhan badoonkod madaxa bay ku socon, Markan oo kale xitaa waxaa la.iska ilaashaa Waxa keeni kara "perceived bias", laakin Madoobe aqoondaroda,  imaan la'aan baa u dheer!!

This cycle will continue for long time,  as people are no near ready.

Iskuma kalsoona miyaa? Inuu baarlamaanka mucaarad weyn ka noqdo muu rabaa. Xasan Sheekh was allowed to be a member of Aqalka Sare as a former president yet he never attended.

I think he wants to use during election,  lobby from inside,  may work

So all 16 of them are from Kenya and not real Somalis? And you wonder why your wicked cult are staring at a crushing defeat.

What parallel universe you live in, that you advocating for Kenyan agents?

They are Somalis loyal to Kenya, like Madoobe.

  5. Most of candidates do  have proxies, that are  responsible selling seats, after every round.

After first round , everything becomes fuzzy and most of the power is with the proxy,  not even the candidate ,The proxy can even move the votes to NOT where the candidate who lost wanted, but highest bidder.

That is why it is extremely unpredictable after first round.

I have great discussion someone involved in last election , and who was very involved in moving votes.

That is so . mAybe FAhad who is traveling to QAtar this week could bring the cash and buy the whole thing.

THese mps are the most corrupt in the history of politics in the world. The best parliamentarians were the ones selected in CArta in 2000. Most of them were selected by their clans without interference and were eager to rescue a nation.

    Somalia ma shawa xaaladeedy.

It is seems after every cycle of elections/selections, we are getting worse.

I also believe in 2000, and even 2004, there were many Somalis who had idea about governance, hada madaxa lagu wada socon.

    Galbeedi,

I assure if Xamar survived Farmajo and Rooble, it will continue to survive regardless of who comes next. More importantly, everyone has something to lose now. There's simply too much money in Xamar. These 'politicians' are not the warlords of the late 90s/early 00s, of small airfields, neighborhood isbaaro and pocket change from the CIA. They are heavily invested in the city. Even AS leaders have deep business roots, and the business community is in no mood to vacate the city.

The Somalis of the south are as tribal as any other Somali group but their politics is played differently in that the clans are not monolithic. Abdullahi Yusuf became president cuz of the likes Musa Sudi and the late Cali Mahdi, not because his large clan family wanted him to become a president. Farmaajo might be ousted because his fellow clansmen from Pland won't vote for him.

Despite purported loyalty to any one candidate,  MPs at the end of the day can switch their votes. Just the night before HSM was defeated, he had MPs all lined up and was so sure he would win.

And I am reminded of the below post by Mahad Salad

I have read somewhere Hassan was outbid,  odayga xoogaa bakhayl tuuga buu ahaa

In South Somalia, Cash is King. There is no tribal affiliation or political or anything whatsoever. If you have the $$$, you can do whatever you want.

If Qatar is willing to go hard, they can bring Farmaajo back the brink. Hands down. So don't count Farmaajo or Fahad Yassin out. Specialy considering the current indivituals who make up this parliament is the most corrupted and all know they came through in a questionable and highly unfair process. The people did not vote for them and they know they have only this chance in life to make $$$.

The Speaker of Parliament is good to have him on your side but it is not the whole story.

All Farmaajo needs is a mandate for another term and these so called Speakers and Deputies will be removed in heart beat.

Very true,  person with biggest cash 💸 will win, no doubt in my mind.

Who can outbid others, no loyalty, nothing

And after the election,  many will retire and leave the positions

  9. Number 1. achievement is the financial reform, Bailey did a great work working with International financial institutions, no more caagle, ghost army, everything that goes in and out is accounted for.

Number 2,  stopping international meddling, tried, with some success. Under CULUSOW, every SIRDOON had an office in VILLA Somalia.

In the end, I think the negative far outweighs the positive, because of so many missed opportunities, The biggest challenge which is there for the next leader is taming these opportunistic leaders in Mogadishu and Regional leaders, without authority over them, they will again sabotage the next leader
