  1. No worries mate - the flag is indeed very dear to us, thus off limits mate.
  2. Angel- the trouble is while you think you DO have questions, you seem to be forgetting a basic criterion that a question is no longer a question if answer(s) adverse or otherwise, have been provided though the questioner consciously and on purpose blinds herself of the availed ripostes. Sadly, you seem to have developed a preoccupation of sort with my persona dear. Whether I am a gentleman or not was never part of the discussion as your social status, in principal as to whether you are a lady or not has always remained outside the scope of the debate, though not once, not twice but thrice your reached for the stain-covered brush so as to blemish the character of your adversary in opinion –and solely that. Along those lines, which you seem to be missing is that if one does not quite agree with the basis of your argument, reaching for the screen in your attempts to throttle him/her is not warranted for such practice whilst unladylike is also fanatical, thus ought to be avoided at all costs. By the way the offer still stands if you suddenly change your mind.
  3. A.J T - Jokes ought to be funny mate, not offensive, do not you reckon? I do not see anyone laughing, do you old chap?
  4. A.J T – Never had I thought those words would pass the lips of someone claiming to be of Somali. Funny though, as the old saying goes “Aduunyada Nin Noolow Maxaa Aragti Kuu Laaban” My Bruv - you should be avoided at all cost as engaging you in discussions is proving to be a rather undignified, degrading exercise, for truly your last comments prove one thing – that you are a loose cannon on the brink of detonating itself at any time with no assistance from anyone, and to the peril of anyone who comes close to your proximity. Resorting to this line of reasoning is a symbol of one suffering from Achilles’ hill due to the blustering jabs and blows coming from east and south, and instead of taking cover, one bites one’s adversary’s ear off – the Tyson style. Indeed you have exposed yourself stark naked flushing everybody else. Not a pretty sight, I may add! I wonder what your reaction would have been had one directed similar trashing of your beloved flag only recognised in Hargeysa. What colours was it? But then again But then again right-thinking people do not quite think along those lines, do they mate? What can I say ...
  5. Thank you Latiif for eloquently placing that lost-black-sheep called banaadir in his right place – in the dustbin – for not only breaking the golden rule as you quite rightly put it, but then assuming that all girls are immoral. banaadir - you are a freak being of decadent nature lost in the muddle – so get lost man!
  6. Angel dear – I see you are acquainting yourself with the ropes ( …a probably forgone conclusions trigered by the emotional organ of the "heart" rather than the wiser oragn of the "brain or head") – so proud of you love! But then, emotional has never been a label directed at my person. Nonetheless, we, proud Somalis are in the midst of celebrations so joyous that entertaining the non-so-joyous is quite a burden at the present moment. So, my dear until then chill! Come to think of it, I reckon you should accompany me in my forthcoming trip to Somalia including Somaliland around December this year, not only informative shall it be, but you would be privy as to the angle from which matters economical, political, and social are being viewed. Better yet, see if you could arrange one, time and means permitting of course. Best of luck!

  10. Angel dear– would I ever stand up a lady in waiting – not my style. Now, if you could decipher your 0s from your 1s, the answers of your questions raised were actually embedded in a hex format in my earlier posting. I could time permitting of course, and perhaps I shall do so in the future, highlight in bold, or better yet number the answers and their corresponding questions for simplicity. Do let me know should you fail to deduce the enquired answers from the said posting. And by the way Angel – there are no atrocities going on daily in the rest of Somalia, sporadic skirmishes interpretive of the lack of local administration in Mogadhisu here and there, but no atrocities. Could we call the “Hargeysa incident resulting from Gen.Ghalib’s arrest” an atrocity? Of course not, for it is not. It is only natural that one focuses on the positive outlook and the promising signs progressive in nature rather than the addictive doom and gloom recitation in your prose, and the residue polluting your mind when you stir in the morning, Biased against Somaliland, I disagree. I simply disagree with the political manoeuvring and the leadership mismanagement of the elites in Hargeysa. Best of luck!
  11. Just in the last sentence mate. The above piece is soley for my dear sis Angel-Dust!

  13. When one cannot differentiate factual portrayal of events on the ground as opposed to pure sentiments, blurred reasoning and arguments based on the object of one’s desire, and full revolution round the orbit of the unreasonable extremity becomes the norm. Conformity to such median lest ridiculed by close ones gets the better of one’s honest judgement. Assertions ( … your political stance blinded by your emotions – your words) presumptuous in nature add no value to the debate, thus shall be ignored. You seem to be diverting the point of discussion relating to contested issues concerning allegiance and challenged, untenable politics pursued by a minority in Hargeysa by pleading and trying to tab into my inner being by way of sentimental plea, which is very unlikely to work. However, I concur the thinking that one should remain true to one’s country and place of birth; however, do you reckon one should do so if the city is being taken over by politically suicidal minority whose wish is to strip the city of its once glorious stature, the region of its political credence, the people of their sense of loyalty to State and institutions rather than tribal values, and denigrate its future by way of pursuing fanatical ideologies. While on the case of allegiance, should not you be vowing your allegiance to the blue flag? So you see my agony in seeing my people being bamboozled, and my distress in observing regions of my country being torn apart all because of the idiosyncrasies and preposterous malign logical thinking injurious to the majority. Only the right-thinking mind would lead one to the opposite direction, but then again we are talking about wholesome minds here, are we Angel? You seem to construe my bringing up of issues relating to Somaliland as being negative and untoward when the fact of the matter is I do so only for my desire to bring in my brother and sisters from the said regions out from the cold, isolation and self-hate (hating Somalis) prevalent in their thinking of anything Somali. Yes, I am proud of the successes, stability, progressive steps made though restricted to Hargeysa in many corners the same way that I embrace similar developmental activities in Puntland, Hiiraan, Shabeele, and Southwest, and DO hope to see the rest follow suit. By the way Angel, did you hear how Lascanood is now one the fastest growing business hubs in Somalia? Which administration do you reckon runs the municipalities, collects taxes ploughed back in to the region and its districts, and local government offices? Why police force patrols the streets at night to keep the peace? Which Dervishes safeguard the borders of SS&H? Claims and counterclaims surrounding SS&H and its rightful, predominant inhabitants are not productive; therefore let us agree to disagree on the matter as only time (July of 2003) will tell. Question for you though, you are from Togdheer, where pro-Somaliweyn mind you is very much prevalent, the least developed region in many aspects in Somaliland, I understand. Why on earth do you care where SS&H vows its allegiance since its own sons and daughters (incl. myself) are in the forefront of the campaign to rekindle the spirit of federal Somalia? I will be touched if you were to tell me that you love people of these regions because they are Somalis? A.T – no worries mate. Best of luck!
  14. HornAfrique Bruv– The feeling is mutual. Angel dear– I see you can table the questions, remain anxious for the answers to come, but when they come in floods you tuck tail as they are too darn hard to swallow.
  15. Is it the deputy minister of information who argues economic diversification, or the author who seems to favour free market economy of sort that is on the right? The deputy minister points out that: • ganacsiga u wareejiyaan waxyaalaha dalku u baahan yahay, ee aysan isku buuran ganacsi aan baahidiisu hadda dalka ka jirin; • iyada oo aanay dalka ka jirin baahi isgaarsiineed; • iyo dhinaca dhaqaalaha oo ay keeni karto dhaqaale burbur ama wiiqan ku yimaada shirkadaha hadda ka jira DGP. The author in his corner points out: • Habka Ganacsigu waa tartan furan. • Waxaa reebban qodob ka hor imaanaya tartanka ganacsiga. Could both men be after the same thing but by different means? What is your take on the matter? ././ Deputy minister's decree on the 25 - http://yamayska.com/news/news_item.asp?NewsID=56 ././ Author's analysis of the decree on the 27 - http://www.somaliatalk.com/2003/june/1jun2703.html
  16. Baashi - Not even a drop? Gediid - I refer you to a statement offered by the honourable A.Tukachevsky from (somewhere beyond the horizon)- “ … let me first of all congratulate the somali people on their days of celebrating independence from those white dogs. i am happy in knowing that guys like you are still celebrating our days of independence which is difficult in the situation that the somali people are in.”
  17. Angel-Dust - Having just reread your earlier posting in search of the purported questions, allow me to indulge you. Quote " ... where should you worries lie, in the Somaliland situation or on the 20th foriegn initiated conference withe 31+presidential candiates and 450+mp's (maninly wardlords I must add)" Angel love - Somaliland is not only where I was born (Hargeysa), but also a Somali terrain unless proven otherwise which thus far has not been, hence my concern lies there and anywhere else where Somalis are the predominant populace including Puntland, Southwest, and other southern regions of Somalia. Is that comprehendible to you? Or is it so wrong that it is a crime in your orbit? Does that answer the first questions? Quote "...I find funny for a man of your calibre to try and potray Somliland as (Hargeisa. Awdal, togdheer)---is it not a little undergraduate comment?? Incinuations like this my brotehr dont change the reality on the ground" Let me correct you there. I believe to have written "present day Somaliland which comprises of Awdal, Hargeysa including Berbera (though now Saahil - a region in accordance with the Hargeysa administration), and Togdheer excluding Buuhoodle, once its largest district ( and now the 6th region in accordance with the Puntland administration)" and not British-Somaliland of the old. I DO hope you understand the stark difference between the two, for that, my dear is the true veracity on the ground. I would know that far better than anyone else because I am by virtue of birth and inheritance from the marsh topography of SS&H, which is an integral part of Somalia by way of Puntland State . Does that sink in? Does that answer your second question? Were there other matters of concern on which you wish my take? If so, I would be more than happy to oblige. And by the way, what does "hiding behind metaphors and fabrications" mean love? A.T- Am I correct to assume that you meant to address Bari_Nomad in your last posting? Cheers.
  18. Brother A.Tukachevsky, I do apologise should you found any of my comments offensive or untoward for such was never the intent. And yours accepted old chap. Would it surprise you though that I hardly subscribe to the Jewish holocaust phenomenon, nor the lionisation, deifying of Churchill, Stalin, Mussolini and Roosevelt whilst demonising Hitler? The slave trade epitomises a holocaust of the worse kind for me. Nonetheless, many happy returns to all! Cheers.
  19. Angel-Dust dear, what were the questions asked? I must be on the dim side as I could not locate the supposed questions to me? Would you kindly rekindle an interest of sort please?
  20. Apology accepted mate and extended if offended in turn – no worries. And I do hear you Bruv loud and clear as to the realities on the ground, atrocities inflicted upon the innocent, crimes committed by scoundrels and desperado rogues of alike, and as much as I deplore the ghastly, gruesome deeds of the past, I remain convinced considering the mindset in motion that proving the “suspects of crimes against humanity” guilty of all accounts will not be a breeze or a walk in the park, and unless database of names, locations and periods had been compiled, its discussing whilst might be of some relief to many will not remedy nor redress the iniquitous nature of the bloodshed and transgressions genocidal in nature. As much as some revere whilst many loathe the following individuals shall remain in the figment of our imaginations for centuries in one way or another. Igal (father of Somaliland), Tuur, Ina Kaahin, Ina Biixi, Siilaanyo, Riyaale and more; Yussuf (founder of SSDF and father of Puntland), Morgan, and others; Shaargaduud, Xaabsade, Sh. Madoobe; Aideed Sr (USC his brainchild), Mahdi, Ato, Qanyare, Suudi, Hiiraale, Jees, Mohamed Dheere, Qalaad, Aideed Jr., Gabyow, And the list goes on ... It is worth noting that as much as we agree or disagree of their daemonisation or admiration, they shall remain historical figures, some of legendary magnitude in some corners, and shall remain enigma of adverse commemoration and virtuous paradox in the same light. Happy 26th and 1st of July to all. So long!
  21. Ameenah - I share your pain my sister and agree with you on a number of points though would not wish to see all men over 50 disappear mysteriously, for that in itself would usher in a host of gratuitous, abrupt quandaries. See where force and ridicule has gotten us so for- No Where. Never you despair sister for all things being equal we shall have unity of different sort, acceptable to all soon. “Puntland, Somaliland can function as an independent states” This I reckon is crucial sis. Am I correct to assume that you find the possibility of autonomous, regional congruence between states acceptable (Somaliland and Puntland), in other words federal system of government? Happy 26th and many joyous returns! Cheers.
  22. Dear A.Tukachevsky, My bruv - Though I would have liked to banter and make mockery of your weak shot well below the belt line directed at my person, I am in such a joyous, ceremonious, jolly mood celebrating 26th / 1st July that I naturally abstain from engaging adverse repartee, hence shall let your remarks slide without comments or redress of any kind. Come to think of it, all I asked of you in my earlier post was to deliberate your rulings rather than subjugate all possible presuppositions rendering worthy deliberations premature. I even offered my services in case it did not quite catch on. And by the way, my remarks about Hitler were metaphorical, if you catch my drift. Chill mate and happy 26th/1st July to you, all right! Cheers.
  23. Inaan kuu adeegoon, Cadadow kaa ilaanshoon, Aayaha taliyaan, Axdi kuugu maryaa Arligaygoow. Udubkiyo, dhigihiyo, aloolka iyo raarkaba, aqalakaan ka helayoow Haddaan dibadda aadoo, Ajashu ii tamaadana Kii la ii soo ambinayee Iilkaygu yiilow Arligaygow Inaan ku ogolaadoo Aduunyada intaan jiro Waajibkaaga oofshaan Axdi kuugu marayaa Arligaygow! To hear those words, And tears cover your face NOT, Truly you are no Somali! http://www.sanaag.net
  24. Ameenah - I respect their will and desire. You see as an unreal as you may find it I was hoping proponents of Somaliland would have heeded the highlighted deficiencies in the policies and political manoeuvring employed by the administration, but never thought you would instead opt for a “no talk, no mention ” type of approach. Thinking of old (confining south Somalia in the dustbin) did quite produce the desired result, and the late Igal literally threw in the towel as it were (his last trip to DC), so why not at least provoke the mind and think of alternative venues? But should the quest for recognition come at the expense of other Somali regions including neighbouring and stable regions? Depicting Somalia as though derelict, desperately wretched topography brushing it with a single stroke is not quite astute politics, and if anything it weakens the argument for. Many parts of Somalia are not only ready for a shared power structure system of government - federal system, but are steadily working towards it whilst some have proven it (Puntland to be an example). Do you see where I am going with this? Cheers.
  25. Dear Sayfulaah-almasluul – Perhaps it would have been better to ask my stance on the issue of “crimes against humanity” in lieu of condemning me to being either supportive, or one of the “warlords” as you put it which I must admit is rather judgmental, premature on your part if I may say so. If you wish to address the issue of “suspects of crimes against humanity”, suspects at this stage not criminals as it has not been proven by a court of law that the said crimes have been committed by the said individuals, we could do so in its own time. Until otherwise have been proved, I reckon they remain innocent, unless we wish to disregard the “guilty/innocent” concept. It is the principal and blanket sentencing I oppose. Whilst I fervently deplore the present near stateless status in some parts of Somalia, the ensued disintegration of the state, and the mismanaged political process and the apparent lack of leadership on the part of the Somali leaders, which is the nucleus of the matter, I was, and remain supportive of the organised rebellion which brought an end to the tyranny of the Barre regime. Hence, see no harm in Yussuf’s admission "i am one of the few who started the civil war in somalia". You would not be by any chance suggesting the status quo should have been sustained and the country should have remained under tyranny under the old regime, would you mate? Does that clarify my stance before you send me to the gallows, old chap? A.Tukachevsky – my brother, before you blow your brain out of frustration, the discussion began with Sayfulaah-almasluul’s observation that “ …. they do not know how to talk, they do not know what to talk about and even do not know how to displine infront of such a high profile people like prisdent Moi ”, and ruling “ …… their behaviour in peace talk was disgracefull, they are really war criminals and diserve to be put on internatioal criminal court ”. Again if we wish to address the issue of “crimes against humanity”, and who is done what, to whom, and when, we could do so under the thread “Somalia: Crimes against humanity” where victims names, suspects’ names, locations, incidents could be recorded. Your contributions shall be immensely appreciated by the victims and the society as a whole as mere talk based on hear-say will not quite do it. As and when they have been found guilty of the said crimes, I shall be by your side in condemnation, but without evidence and collaborating testimonials based on facts, provable beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law, international or otherwise, our arguments have no basis, thus futile. Are you in synch with now, old boy? And by the way according to historical findings, Hitler was half-Jewish (from mother’s side), thus his drive to annihilate anyone of that faith. Cheers.
