This is the top advisor of Somaliland. An illiterate old man of 100 years and 50 children. He cant write, read, never went to school. And still he is their economic, financial, politic and international advisor.

Xishood oo akhlaaq yeelo, dadka waaweyna ha aflagaadeynin. Tan labaad stop lying, where do you get the idea that this old man is "economic, financial, politic and international advisor"? And who does he advice exactly? Meeshan horta dadku miyay iska hadlaan for the sake of speaking and being heard?

Waa ma gaarayso ama gaadhayso af Somaligaa kaa xune lol.

  2. I heard he was one the greatest Somali nationalists alife, and apparently one of S/land's founding fathers. I read a moving historical essay once, by a Somali historian by the name of something Galib on Mariano's desperate efforts to free the Somali region of Ethiopia from abyssinian rule. Even though he was a highly educated Lawyer, and was the spokes man for that delegation which was presenting their case to the league of nations regarding the lost Somali territories to Ethiopia; the British papers on that day referred to them as, " four nomads with a disturbing tale" :D:D. Its kinda funny in a sad way, lol.

  3. Garaad Jaamac Garaad Ismaaciil is a great man indeed. And so was his father Garaad Ismaaciil may he rest in peace. I knew them both personally, not beacuse I'm too old and hung around with garaads lol, but they happen to be immeadiate family members and I saw them both in action, very hounorable people indeed. Anyway I wish this garaad a success with whatever his endeavours may be.

  4. ^^ I think the rude ones are purposefully avoiding this thread, lol.

But to be honest, I don't mind their general rudeness, infact I find it rather amusing sometimes. Usually if I see a rude looking oday or islaan, I have the habit or staring them a bit longer, lest they do something funny, like yelling at some one who may have failed to fulfill their expectations, or completely turn around and walk off while some one is still talking to them. Natural incidents like that can be a source of priceless humour if you happen to be at the right place at the right time lol.

Also, as couple of people have mentioned already, sida Somalidu wax u profile gareyso racially waa wax ceeb weyn inoo keeni kara. If you go and watch TV with big number of your own families for 30 mins you will know what I'm talking about. You will not only find that no ethnicity on earth has impressed them thus far, but that they won't be impressed by any in the near future. I suppose failure is a state of mind, lol.

Because your feelings are hurt it isn't trolling. If I intentionally wanted to hurt you, then it is trolling.

How do you know rather or not I wanted to intentionally hurt you? You simply do not. Maybe this is a heartfelt speech.

You can't be serious! Well I'm not sure what your intentions were, but I guess some of your posts above, together with the pic in your avatar some how gave me the impression that you were trolling. My apologies if you accidently came across as a troll Lolz.

  6. Oday reer badiye ah oo xoolohiisa aad u jecel ayaa geeliisa waxaa u raaci jirey wiil yar oo uu adeer u yahay.

Willka shanta salaadood ba wuu tukan jirey odaygu laakiin ma tukan jirin. Odaygu ma jeclayn in wiilku tukado waayo wuxuu ka biqi jirey intuu salaada ku jiro in xoolaha wax ku dhacaan ama la xado. Odaygii maalintii dambe intuu willka u wacay buu ku yidhi:

  7. I just watched the first video and they are Somali farm kidz indeed, lol. Thats super cool! I wish they were my neighbours so I could visit and ask if they would sell me fresh meet and eggs. Knowing Somalis they would probably give me free supplies for a while lol.

  8. I think they live somewhere close by, and probably just go for a visit from time to time. It would be fun to own a farm on the outskirts of big cities though, even with our deadly snakes and red back spiders. Very dangerous for children, but the freedom and open space would probably be worth it.

  9. Now the title of this thread wasn't very helpful at all was it? The subsequent result was both regions' reputation being dragged in the mud as It turned out that both regions had the same problems occuring from time to time;);). Guys, please be careful when dealing with sensitive issues like these, we don't want the USA re-thinking about Somalia's dual track policy.

  10. ^^ Lol, Oo waxaadba iga dhigtay qof xiro waalan ku jiree! Walal gurigayga, shaqada iyo masaajidka meel aan ahayn ba ma'aado, laakiin nasiib darro mar mar adigoo salaatul leyl ka yimid bay qaar isbaaro kuu dhiganayaan. Dee kabidna intaan laba luuq ka baxo ayaan cararaa illeen haddaan garaaco, oo xabsi la i dhigo anigoo nin wayn ah sida ciyaal schoolka waa la isoo doontay excuse ma noqonaysee. Bal waan iska samri samirkii nebi ayuub.

Sxb, are you one of those people who say they are from that region when asked, do you actually say the name "Somaliland"?
    :D

I'm wondering because once a girl said it in class and the teacher looked at her as if she was crazy and he said "what do you mean? Somalia?"

And she said "no, it's a different country", and he was so confused that he stopped the lesson wallahi, just to check his PC, so he looks and reads the Wikipedia article, then he bursts out in laughter and says "alright, I see", he takes a paper, and writes his last name and 'land' and puts it up on the door and says, this is my new country.

It was hilarious, and he was
    British
    too, so that one hurt.

Was the teacher a Brit of Somali descent, because otherwise it would seem that you just made this one up, lol?

loool@ nin yaban. I don't think the guy would be that honest he would probably just share the good things he does, we will just be lucky if he shares with the girl he plans to marry - aduunka hada honesty baaba iska yaraatay. Imagine he tells her after their wedding night xabsi baan bari galay
    :P
    ..

Looooool, dee waa iska caadi, gabadhu hoosta uun bay ka ducaysanaysaa inuusan xabsi dambe gelin. Mida kale sow ma ogid in western countries in xabsi si easy ah lagu galo? For example, hadda anoo banaankayga iska maraya ahduu mid waalan isoo doonto ama i attack gareeyo anna aan sanbuuqada jebiyo isna inta uu dhulka isku tuuro Police u waco sow ma ogid in la iska kay xidhi karo? Not that I'm speaking from experience laakiin the stuff I put up with on a frequent bases, just so as not to go to prison.Maalin kasta miskiin baa iska dhigaa oo dad ba iskaga kay tunta si aan xabsi u gelin oo mustaqbalka gabadh fiican la'iisiiyo.

  13. Cimrigaagoos dheeraadi geel dhalaayana waa ku tusaa; salaad cusubna ma aragnay !!

The second Imam looks like a good shot too, I bet clint eastwood wouldn't have chit on him in real life lol.

  14. Anigu waxaan maqalay mid yaroo dhaqan celis ah oo Burco maalin is yidhi toast iibso. Mac macaanle iyo meelaha wax lagu gado mid ka mid ah intuu tegey buu yidhi saaxib toast isii.

Kii meesha haystey baa ku yidhi oo toastkuna waa maxay adeer.

Kii yaraa markaasuu yidhi waa roodhi la gubey adeer.

Kii meesha haystaa isagoo yaaban intuu cunugii cabaar eegay ku yidhi,"adeer roodhi gubatey lama cunee, yay caloosha kaa qabane, hoo tan caadiga ah bilaash iskaga qaado," Lool.

  15. ^^ Still in the context that you used the above quote in, you made it sound like it was Kenya that was backing down, and the TFG was likely to have its way. Very close but no cigar xiinfaniin lool. Abtigiis came back with even more impressive quotes from the same saurce you were using as the gospel of truth, and you were subsequently reduced to claiming, "well its only an openion" and quickly defending your honour. War ninka iskaceli :D.

  16. There is always something hilarious about when one talks seriously about coitus in Somali. I'm not one to judge, but even if the above article posted by Somali was for educational purposes, to me it still sounds really wrong. for instance, most of us wouldn't laugh if the following paragraph was to be translated in Englsh:

    "BEKRA-JEBINTA

Habeenka aqalgalku waa habeennada nolosha qoys kan ugu horreeya, galmada dhacda habeenkaasi bayna gabadhu isugu bedeshaa haweeney, sidaasi daraadeed aad iyo aad buu ahmiyad ugu leeyahay haweeneyda cusub. Waxa ugu muhiimsan ee habeenkaasi dhacayaa waa bekra-jebinta. Bekradu waa xuub ama dub khafiif ah oo ku dahaaran afka hoose ee cambarka, waxaana ninka waajib ku ah inuu dillaaciyo ama ballaariyo xuubkaasi kolka ugu horreysa ee uu dhalfada gelinayo cambarka. "

I'm I the only one laughing lol? I stopped reading after that.
