  1. ^^Lol. Now if you put it that way, can you give me sometime to mull over it? **Scratches head**
  2. ^^Your dad is right on the money. The only history Somalis have is the history of short-memory. Repetition is really boring. Marka writing down what has happened today might help remind others in the future that this fight has been fought already. PS: Lol@Diiriye and Nimco. A figment of my imagination, I tell you .
  3. ^^If they manage to clear off the Tigre...aniga bandar aan jiifaa . Don't mind them ruling at all (not Caydiid though). I can tolerate indhacade.
  4. ^^Not novels really. But political and history books, yes. Maybe I should give novels a thought then . Thanks dear.
  5. ^Biirsi, to get more than mijin jaad ah.
  6. ^^Actually Nimanka don't like gabar qaad weydiisata... haven't you heard of Dhoodaan's: Adoo mijin sitoo, kororsi doonaaya, qori ii dhiib ninkii ku yiraahdo waad kala xanaaqdaane lol.
  7. I did. I do. I may yet do it again. But only in weddings and funerals. People can knock it as much as they want. When done in moderation it is great stress relief. Yup. Moderation in everything works best. MsD&D, aniga markaa yaraa een suufiga ahaa ayaan ku wardin jirey. Isn't that enough?
  8. ^^Thank you very much adeer. Much appreciated. Lol@innocently floats up. Adeer, wax qari baaban islahaaye siday wax iga noqdeen. I look forward to your critique xiinoow. Remember i have written things in haste. Might come across as different as I intended.
  9. Looool MsD&D. Jacayl, maxaa ka macna ah. Dhowr laamood ood qanqaniintay . Wakukaa waan qirtaye bal adiga car qiro inaad Hargeysa qaad field-day u tagtay . I think waxaad ku jirtaa kuwii ku heesi jirey - 'Jabbanaha aroortii, nafta raaxa geliyaay!... . Ghanima, what?
  10. Wouldn't mind going there for the poetry side of it. Don't want to listen to habraha buurbuuran. Big disapointment - they should frankly retire all.
  11. ^^Too much xundhur, adeer. It is the gorayaan in your calooshooda.
  12. Originally posted by Kool_Kat: ^^LOOOOOL... How could one compare the two? Jaad $80 Caawadhan cun Takes up your nite Hurdo la'aan $80? Wow! It costs a fortune. Or is it a kilo? How do the Somalis afford it? The entertainment and social qualities of qaad is beyond my judgment, but I'll say few words about it. When an esteemed oldman or leader is being offered the utmost hospitality there is around, qaad comes in the conversions. 'War waan inaa qayilnaayoo is wareysanaa' reverberates from the lips of the older men. And for qaad to be suggested at special conversations such as those, says alot of what it means to the old timers. Qaad is only followed by shaah - this is the females' way of welcoming the guest . On the effects of qaad, I think the gradual build-up and consist maintenance of a stimulating and jovial state of mind, makes it the more preferable herb to weed. I have never seen more intelligent Somalis than the odd chewing man. To be quite honest, apart from its social implications, I try to reserve by judgment on qaad. I have lived in country in which it grew but never touched it. But never say never . An adventure into the unknown universe of qaad is recommended. I want a boosted intelligence, at least for once .
  13. Do something you would continue to be interested in for atleast 50 years (which is basically your whole life). A course that enhances your knowledge of your strong interest. If it is engineering and you want to do some DIY at your pensioner age then do it!
  14. Why not form a political party that is universally inclusive with sound policies. Of how to get rid of the Ethiopian forces, how to build the economy, how to build our own military etc. Come to the election and beat them on the ballot Thiery, that statement of yours above is really very optimisitic, innit . Elections? Reminds me of that Hong Honk triad movie- 'Elections'. Sxb to expect elections from the tfg is to milk honey from a stone adeer. Not plausible. PS: No, I won't ask assistance of the devil sxb, but as you confessed you are not saying Indha-cade is the devil, or is it? I am not fond of indha-cade myself. I am on record voicing my objections to him in this forum, but as Somalis say: Maslaxadaada maqaar ey baa loogu seexdaa .
  15. ^^Lol, its called African economics .
  16. Fahiey, Yours and others' too, is believing that this is the time for 'pretty Public image' adeer. We have come past that and I will tell you this, revolutions don't happen twice . They do only once and we have had our 'one' chance. So public support would simply depend on the actions taken from hereon and not the illusions of 'image' you seem to harbour.
  17. MsD&D, Those with merits are shaking in their boots fear American recriminaions somewhere in the qurbaha. So it is not soon that you would see them fill any position. Even their military generals hope in wadankii loo qabto si ay u tagaan iyagoo ku xaragoonaya garaadadoodii hore.
  18. ^^Thanks. Waxaad ii darnaan lahayd in aan sheegato cilmul-qayb balse hadaadba sheegan waa Al-xamdulilaah. Adeer Illaah baan qabnaa... cidna calafkeeda ma seegto.
  19. ^^The boogy military generals don't come equiped with their army, do they? They are empty handed and broke. But he on the other hand, comes with men and armour. DyouknowwhatImean?
  20. Belo ku degtay...oo biddaa huurtey...oo ..iga daa waa ramadaane.
  21. Ms D&D Lol, you want them to tell world the sort of work he is doing for them? Can't they do that after the war has been won? Transpiracy at this time would really not help Ms D&D.
