    One of my cousin who chews that stuff invited me over onetime to chew with him, so me being the nice cousin agreed with him and went to chew with him. Shit was nasty, and i almost threw up when i got home, cuz it was that bad. I know people now who take 'vacations' to London, Nairobi, or even back home just so they can chew the 'real' stuff.

    MMA its not just you sxb, happens to everyone.

     

    As for the Kenyans, i can't say i really blame them. They are looking out for their best interest (right or wrong), and its us Somalis who consume the stuff. So of course they are going to lobby against any ban on Khat.

     

    O'well, i don't chew so, 'Ha waalato (as Jaceylbaro) would say. :)

    One thing i noticed about Ethiopians (there is a very large Ethio community in the DC Metro area) is, waa dad iska masaakiin ah, khalad iyo saxba aan hadlin, oo marwalba iska aamusan. Xataa hadii aad ka gar darantahay, weey iska dulqaatan, oo dhinaca kaleey iska fiiriyaan.

    2 Million (out of 15 million?) sounds about right. And that 2 million would probably grow to become 3 million in about 10-15yrs from now with the way Somalis breed. Just last week, i met a cousin who had 6 kids and he's only 26yrs old. 2 from previous marriages, and 4 with the girl he's with right now. All of 'em born in state side also. So i can only imagine there are thousands and thousands of like him out there.

     

    Alpha, that's too high of a number sxb. If i had to guess, i'd say maybe 10k Somalis are behind bars at any given time. And probably another 50k in some type of probation/court ordered something.

    I've had a close family member (AUN) die from this disease 2yrs ago. And the most shocking thing to me was, how quickly it has progressed and then finally died from it. They put her on so much Chemo, that they lost their teeth, hair and a lot of weight. It was the saddest thing seeing someone that was strong, STRONG, LIVELY and full of life no longer even talking and just not having the will to leave. Jannatula Fardowsa allaha kawaraabiyo. Cancer is one of those diseases you dont want to wish on your worst enemy.

    My guess is that song is from an era when everything wasn't so PC and you could sing/say whateva without having to worry about anything. 'Date rape' drugs might've been all the rage back then. :)

    Not in Minnesota at the moment, but somewhere little more colder. And the wind chill we got here makes it feel like its -20 degrees outside. I stepped outside for 15 minutes, waxaan soo noqday anigoo Gacmihii iyo wajigiiba BARAF soo noqdeen.

     

    Maybe i am getting old, but i feel like every winter is worse than the one before. And its not just any QABOW, we are talking about 'Oh shit, we can die' kinda cold. Aargh!

    Yea, arrest her. She probably brought it upon herself right. How do they expect future rape victims to come forward when they are being thrown in jail for speaking out? I.diots

     

    We need to go back to the day's of just offing people who are accused of certain crimes....Rape being one of 'em.
