  1. ^^lool..thats funny..i actually have one about somali ladies when they're at weddings..imma post it. Yes i am talking from exprience cuz everytime i chill at the donut shop somali ppl they're always talking about the same things. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with chillin at dount shops it is a relaxing spot, but when it becomes your second home, then you got issues..lol
  2. Warning: Some parts of this poem are graphic. Just Another Causality You and your family are back in your homeland Whether it be India, Somalia, or Iran Korea, Vietn am, Guyana, or Pakistan On the mother land of Africa on the a country called Ghana Or on the Caribbean Islands on a beautiful place called Jamaica You are playing outside your house with your elder sister and 4-year-old brother Your father is there too and even your loving mother Your country is involved in a war So you haven’t ate for days and your stomach feels sore Suddenly you look up in the sky and see a plane flying overhead You’re overwhelmed with joy thinking they’re going to drop you a loaf of bread When you look up you see that this “bread†is the size of a cannonball You then realize it’s a massive bomb that’s about to kill you all It’s too late now and you don’t know what to do You try to get away but it lands only several feet away from you Are you dead? No, your life is not yet through But the heat from the bomb made you skin look like it was barbequed Your father lays motionless on the floor like a fallen statue You feel a great deal of pain coming from your gut And feel like your in a flood cause you're drowning in your own blood You look around but you can’t hear the screams of mum Cause the sound of the explosion has busted both your eardrums You want to go to her and show her that you care But you look down to see that your legs are no longer there Everything gets blurry and you start to blackout You finally exhale your last breath from your dry mouth The last thing you do before you die is drop a tear But there is no on there to report it, does anybody care? They just wanted one man, why did they have to kill me My precious life is over and I didn’t even reach the age of 23 But on American TV you’re not seen as a victim, but as just another causality
  3. I love my Somali people. And what makes us unique is that we're known for certain things. One of them is having Somali men who spend all their time in donut shops, talking the same nonsense and pulling the same tricks. I kno ya'll can relate to this one. Somali Men and Their Coffee Shops Another morning and the weather is scorching hot But he’s still gonna go get coffee from the donut shop The chances of him having money for coffee are very slim He gets in line and taps a young Somali man in front of him “As salam ma laykum!!..Do you remember me? How are you doing? I’m one of your abtiis. I saw you last when you were up to my knees Running around in diapers and I think only 3. So hows the family? How’s your dad? Hows school?†“Oh ..yeah I’m doing fine and everyone is cool.†He’s answering every question trying not to be rude But he’s really thinking, “Who the hell is this dude?!?†Lady at the counter says, “Next please.†“Yeah 1 coffee and donut for me And I guess anything for my new found abtii†“Mashallah son, your soul is pure and clean. Yeah..uh..give XL coffee 12 sugar 2 cream! And don’t think you’re gonna get a buck Until I see every sboon of sugar you boot in my cub.†He walks away stirring his coffee with a stick Grin on his face happy he pulled the old “I’m you abtii†trick Goes to the same corner where his friends always meet Ignores the “4 chairs per table†sign and pulls in an extra seat They start talking about Somalia’s downfall How good it use to be and what tribe started it all One man ease dropping hears his tribe being called Gets pissed and confronts the guy like he’s gonna brawl But you know how Somali’s are: All talk, no action Not like in westerns where they duel it out and demand satisfaction Countless times did they swear in the name of the lord Only thing they manage to hurt was their pride and vocal cords They could poke an eye out the way they talk with their hands and jerk their necks Yelling about how the government never gave them their monthly checks And how they have an appointment in court Cause they still never got their “Bassbort†(passport) Telling a bunch of stories that are hard to believe Until the owner comes and says, “Buy something or leave.†Out of all ten, one decides to buy coffee for himself Lady at the counter asks, “Can I be of any help?†Takes his coffee but this time drinks in small sips Tells all his buddies she liked him by the way she moved her hips The way she smiled at him and the way she moved her lips Claimed she was gonna make a move on him but was too nervous Apparently this loser never heard of proper “customer service†The sun has now come and gone This is their chilling spot even during Ramadan Then they say, “I’m not a devil, I’m diabetic so I’m controlling my sugar level.†You know that story is obviously fake When you see the same dudes eating kilos of halwa and mango shakes Its now time to go home to the wife and kids Not mentioning to them anything of what he did Comes in the house Throws himself on the couch Flips on the T.V and says, “Honey, can you get me some coffee please?â€
  4. That poem was sick..the struggle between good and evil is an on going battle and evil got his butt kicked here

  6. Judgement Day for a bad Muslim I wake up to a trumpet as I rise from beneath the Earth I'm reborn again and not circumcised just like at I was at birth Why did I have to die so soon? My entire life felt like sunrise till noon 60 years of my life felt like a blink of an eye It's too late now, it's over! I just wanna cry Everyone's running in all directions confused and not knowing what to do There is no one to help me, not even my old high school crew On any other day, the sun would be far in Space But today, it's only a mile away from my face My mother runs up to me wide eyed in fear Yelling to me, "Son, show me that you care I held you in my womb and gave you life When you were sick, I stayed up late at night And when you were in trouble, I'm the one that gave you advice So son PLEASE I'm down my knees Don't be overwhelmed with greed Give me some of your good deeds" I say to her, " I know this may sound unfair But what you have done in the past right now I do not care All these deeds I earned are mine So please get away from me you're wasting your own time" After many years the judgement finally begins Where Allah calculates every good deed and every little sin Allah finally calls my name I approach him with my head down in shame The angels come and rundown the sins I have done "He didn't do a single good deed, he just had fun" He was so lazy that he didn't pray Salat So greedy that he didn't bother to pay Zakat" How did they know? "Ya Allah", I say "They're telling you lies about how I spent my days. That's not how I used my wealth and use my health Please Allah I want to speak for myself" "You have that" Allah says then seals my lips My body starts to talk from head to my hips And my hips to my feet My hands and my privates they all start to speak They start saying everything that I did in my life How I swung the punch at a Muslim and started that fight And how I slept with that woman that wasn't even my wife Allah is the Almighty Judge and my jury And after studying my life he has pronounced me guilty I would rather be sent to life in a prison cell But Allah sentenced me to eternality in hell.

  9. I felt this topic belonged to both the Islam and Poetry forum --------- The Islamic Struggle I say my final salaams to my right then my left concluded my salat and took a deep breath Half of us prayed salat while the others stand guard We have to be ready because the enemy isn’t far I grab a handful of desert sand And walk over to where my men stand I slowly release every grain and let it scatter across the land Over 300 men armed and ready equipped with a sword or machete Our body armor isn’t much, but our belief in Allah remains heavy All dressed in black With the shahadah written on our backs Lined up at our boarder where the enemy wants to attack If my men weren’t true mujahids, they surely would have ran But none of them move a muscle, they wait for my command Each one on a horse Determined to stay on course Determined to please Allah, even if that means using force “In the name of Allah master of the universe The men who wish to attack us are one of the worst They think they have all the weaponry, but are only equipped with Allah’s curse But we have the Quran which we follow verse by verse That means we must fight, but try our best not to sin anonymous We won’t truly win Unless we follow the teachings of the great prophet Mohamed peace be upon him That means we must not harm a child, women, or elder, a person who is unarmed, or someone who wants to surrender. Whatever the outcome of the battle may be It will inshallah lead us all to victory. If we live to see victory, we can raise our hands high with our weapons But if we fall on the battlefield, we will be raised to the 7th heaven So mujahids please join me In the battle of jihad where victory is a certainty.†There ain’t a cloud in the sky but you can hear the rumble of thunder It’s the sound of the enemy closing in; its clear that we’re outnumbered As the distant between us becomes narrow I signal my men to fire the first wave of arrows Many of the enemies fall on their backs We attack in packs ready to engage in hand-to-hand combat With the help of my lord, Many fall victim to my double-edged sword Suddenly a man appeared out of nowhere like a jinn Quickly drew his sword and stabbed me in my abdomen I slash my sword in the battle of jihad gracefully Where he’s head use to reside is now a vacancy Judging by the amount of enemies that lay in the sand It seems my people have gained the upper hand After a long fierce battle under the hot sun Many enemies lay dead, while others run Victory was awarded to those who believed “Allah is one!†I sustained too much damage from the enemy’s brigade My vision begins to fade Inshallah I will be resurrected under Allah’s shade Even though I’m dead, I can still see I see two beautiful angels descending upon me One of them takes out a cloth that smelt of a perfume A fragrance so powerful, it could be smelt from the moon “Oh servant of Allah, your meeting with Allah is near But have no fear Because you are a servant that Allah holds dear. You were faced with the challenge and passed the test For that you have achieved ultimate success So come blessed soul who’s love for a Allah was pure and true and into the hereafter where Allah has prepared Jannah for you.â€
