  1. Paragon, what's the male equivalent of the name"Faantooy" called?

Shamsudin, your name is one of my favourite. There are names that I like because of how they sound/look and what nicknames can be used with the name, like Zak, Mo and Fufu. Ma aragtay the CNN commentator la dhaho, Fareed Zakaria??? Ninkas magaciisa waan ku khafiifaaa..

  2. Sheh, did you have a personality transplant?? Only Ibty, like a 10 yr old child, associates anything sexual with being dirty. And yes ma'am, I blame her for putting "her cousin" up for discussion..

  3. Ooo... so this is why he said, "Fool baan ahay" or someting similar in another thread!!! Wow! huge congrats JB, can't wait to hear all about it [foosha] :D .

    Amiin 2 everyone's duas.

  4. Hey, to each her own, but wouldn't you think after husband number TWO, she'd want to sit down and re-evaluate herself and the choices of men she marries? I can't understand how in God's name these women who've been divorced multiple times manage to find guys gullable enough to marry them. Life is just so NOT fair, some girls can't even get married once!

:D @Ibty's cousin. Raggeedii walle. She slept with SEVEN men..uhhhh..uh..!!! Applause to her forthis great courage..

  5. So true, ya Norf. Hollywood depicts the death of Muslims as dameer bakhtiye! But the problem is also that we have just come to a point where another death is just that another death. I turn on the news, I see that 100s died in an an attack, I see that some suicide bomber guy went to a market and killed another 100s innocent people and himself, I see that a boat cap sized and another 100s innocent lives lost. The images are seen day to day that we have gotten desensitised to a point where it's just normal. It's apart of our everyday lives. You don't want to be too removed to care, I do think it's healthy to be able to cope with this staggering amount of Muslim deaths, haddii kale waad ku waalani!

  6. Shelbyville is about an hour's drive from Nashville, in the heart of the Bible Belt. Like many Americans, the citizens of Shelbyville knew little about Somalia other than the 1993 Black Hawk Down incident, in which 18 U.S. servicemen were killed while battling warlords and Islamic jihadists in the Somali capital of Mogadishu.

So when hundreds of Somalis began turning up in the town--many of them dressed in traditional Islamic garb--locals quickly took notice.

"They've had an impact here. Unfortunately, it's not been a good impact," said Brian Mosely, a reporter for the local Shelbyville Times-Gazette.

"I found that there was just an enormous culture clash going on here," he said.
"The Somalis were--according to a lot of the people I talked to here--were being very, very rude, inconsiderate, very demanding. They would go into stores and haggle over prices.
They would also demand to see a male salesperson, would not deal with women in stores"

The problems extend to local schools--where some
Somali students won't talk to female administrators
    .

  7. Gone are the days when a big forehead and being skinny or wearing a penguin style hijab and having a limited grasp of English were key features that identified a Somalis from amongst the crowd.

true true, I no longer get asked now about how things are now with the "troubles"..... a great releif. Phew!!

  8. Hey Naden, not everyone is able to pull off every trend imaginable, go for a cut that suits your face better. I too am thinking about getting my hair cut. I kind of like Rihanna's short style... my husband thinks it's going to make my ears look big!

  9. The idea that because they served "alcohol" or received "naked tourists" therefore deserve no sympathy is ridiculous. They were robbing nobody! It's a tragedy to see anyone's 12yrs of hard work burn down to ashes, alcohol or not!

Hope they catch the arsonists soon and make real examples out of them African-tan cawaanta ah.
