  1. Ma is tidhi, the thread has become a spot where Cilmi’s poems are recited… smile.gif

Laakiin, horta ma fahmaysaa idhe kalmadaha uu tiriyey? Those of you who know the meaning please enlighten us, it would help us (at least me) to get a clear idea of his situation at the time. Take is paragraph for instance…

Inta uu hadhuudhlaha kudaray ama hed soo gooyey

hal-hal tirada waan lagu heleyn an-iyo Haabiile

    Anigana haduu igu shakalay hadimadiisiiye

Imikuu u hees yidhi gab'dhaa taan hanteen rabaye

Aniguna hensii kaama lumin u halgankiisiiye

Sounds foreign to me   Bikoos afsoomaligaygu waa isku dex'jir, it consist of, wax new ah, wax la soo amaaneystay iyo wax aan jirin :D

lol, I did the same, spell it the Somali way the English way and the Arabic way..no such luck  lol, until i did this....

The name of Cawo gives you a responsible, reserved, and dignified nature, able to find a certain amount of success in anything you undertake. You have an appreciation for the finer and deeper aspects of life. Your scholarly, studious interests incline you to art, literature, philosophy, music, and drama. Others may consider you to be aloof and unemotional since you often find it difficult to express spontaneously. They could interpret your quietness as disinterest and aloofness, for they do not realize the depth of your feelings and thoughts. You require time alone, especially in the outdoors, to cope with the pressures of life.

Almost suits me down to a T. :D:D:D

  3. Hibo Nuro

Walaalo, hadii runta la isgu sheego, your Somali writing skills isn’t exactly perfect, sidaan u arko school uga'maad soo qalin jabin. Kaygana haba ka sheekayn, waa mid feedh iyo laag aan ku bartay oo D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) dhaafay :D .Markaa, hadii qofku aanu afsomaali school uga bixin ama sidaydaa self-taught aanu ahayn maxaa loo qasbi? If they can express themselves better in English or any other language for that matter, then so be it. Just because they are illiterate when it comes to Somali it doesn't mean they have lost their dhaqan in any shape or form.

No offence, laakiin Dadka dookhooda waa la daryeelaa.

    Salaama

Bee, I'll second that... in denial is what comes to mind.

Bal dadkan maxaa lagu samayn, maskaxday ka dhaawacanyiine..

  6. Whoever said "There is no such thing as a beautiful woman who cooks and cleans" was not talking about Somali Sisters... :D

But, surely you didn’t choose her so that she could save you from starvation?

As Lucky said..."there is more to woman than her physical beauty or her cooking skills". However, if this was your deciding factor...I would say invest in a cook book, that way you get to have your cake and eat it too… ;)

  7. Physical attraction is a must…. However, it's possible to be attracted to someone without seeing him or her, but I would say only to an extent, meaning there is still room for disappointments. Indeed you might be drawn to their way of thinking, their ideas, characteristics and the qualities they posses as an individual, but as soon as the two parties collide and physical attraction comes in to play the result is either happily delightful or all hope diminished. Physical Attraction is the core element, it is what determines the outcome of the situation, well for me anyways. ;)

  8. lol@Gadiid and she thinks I am the Rude one? hhhmm... what can I say... mulqaacad baa caqliga loogu misee..

Muxajabah, I can see you're young and naive, but insha allah you'll understand one day for the sake of all human kind. smile.gif

I agree with you on that BARWAAQO, and from what I have just seen on Channel 4 program named *The day I will never forget* about FGM was the most Horrific thing I've ever had to witnesss. A girl, no older than 8yrs was literally being pined to the ground by 3 woman (including the girls mother) while one performed FGM, you could hear her cry, wallahi it brought tears to my eyes. FGM has no place in our Culture or in our Diin.
