  1. Another point of view....for the more Discerning woman... :D:D

    The (new) Somali Prince...

    besbaaso

He walks by smelling of the newest cologne by Kenneth Cole,

He walks by aware that my every look is reserved just for him

    My Somali prince

Sophisticated, urban and looking like he just stepped out of the pages of GQ,

He knows his worth but his humble..lol

    My Somali prince

With a high forehead, a majestic nose, and ebony eyes,

Looks like a Nubian king from the time before...

    My Somali prince

No chewing, smoking and drinking, his only vice is ME

And if I declare my feeling, his reply is nothing less than the most eloquent and heartfelt

    My Somali prince

He has no time to sit under shades of trees,

Cause he is a professional and has a career

    My Somali prince

No welfare or government stipend for his family, cause like I said before

    He got a job

    My Somali prince

He gets home and reads to his children the holy book, because he is a great father

And cares about his children’s welfare

    My Somali prince

He invites his friends home and to talk the latest politics to enjoy the hospitality his wife provides, there is no need to go to the coffee shop...

    My Somali prince

For all his great ways, he is still just a man trying to stay ahead of the game and doing his best. Because he was taught, a man took care of his family and does not sit around waiting for others to take care of his responsibilities… all that makes him…

    My Somali prince

  3. Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to

    get old is

    when we're kids?

If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging

    that you

    think in fractions.

"How old are you?" "I'm four and a half!"

    You're never thirty-six and a half.

You're four and a half, going on five!

    That's the key.

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back.

You jump to the next number ... or even a few ahead.

"How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!"

You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16!

And then the greatest day of your life you become 21.

Even the words sound like a ceremony . . . YOU BECOME 21.

    YESSSS!!!

    But then you turn 30.

    Oooohh what happened there?

Makes you sound like bad milk.

He TURNED; we had to throw him out.

    There's no fun now.

    You're just a sour-dumpling.

    What's wrong?

    What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.

    Whoa!

Put on the brakes .. it's all slipping away.

Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

    But wait!!!

    You MAKE IT to 60.

    You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE IT to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70!

After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

    You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle;

you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime.

    And it doesn't end there

Into the 90s, you start going backwards ...

    "I Was JUST 92."

    Then a strange thing happens.

If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again.

    "I'm 100 and a half!"

May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!! :D:D

  4. why would u have to be paid for taking care of ur family, how do u equate that to working, ofcourse its hard and long and sometimes unappreciated, but not always and from seeing my mom it was a labor of love, and i respect my mom for what she did for us...thank goodness we were not raised by relatives and maids... she didn't have to work...that is the great thing cause our father did his part and provided for his family...as long as both partners in the marriage take care of thier parts it should be happy home...rather than a maid/master situation...the main fact is that as long as its a choice and not forced life sentence it should be relatively enjoyable...and not quite the hardship its made out to be.....hey if I choose to be a housewife....believe me and it would be my choice...I would have the best looking house, my husband would enjoy the best meals... and my children will be the best taken care of children around....I just blv...whatever u do...just do it to the best of ur ability...and there is nothing personally wrong with taking care of ur family ...I wouldn’t mind having my office at home....and operating hrs would be when the children r in school...I blv life is for enjoying ….do what u gotta do….work …stay at home….go to school…its all good….just be happy... ;)

  5. its true tea drinking isn't enocouraged in the region am from either....and as a result i don't drink tea as am some what still aware of my mom's words....but i can't confirm what u think the reason behind it is....unless u tell me what it is..... :D

  6. It’s a survival instinct not to want to bring undue attention to urself and that is what these bombers have accomplished and none of us should be happy for it. but I doubt that means that we don't sympathize with the other Muslim brothers and wish them well and out of trouble....but truthfully its a selfish emotion but when I heard the suspects were Somali ....my heart gave a double thud....and I was angry at them for putting themselves in such a situation....true...with wat zyph said...not in our backyard....
